DreamWeaver Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Just ordered myself a cheap clone eotech 552, although it was only about fifty odd quid i'd like to try do everything i can to prevent screen cracks in the unlucky event it gets shot at Do the clear lens protectors from fleabay actually guard the glass against airsoft speed impact? Is there any other sensible solutions to guarding optics?
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted January 22, 2012 Supporters Posted January 22, 2012 the clip-on protectors do work although, tbh, I've never had mine shot out when not using it
DreamWeaver Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Very good to know, thanks! Any good places to buy them?
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted January 22, 2012 Supporters Posted January 22, 2012 hongkong! might be worth buying a couple incase 1 does get shot out or lost.
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted January 22, 2012 Supporters Posted January 22, 2012 Can I add ACOGs to this? I'm worried about mine breaking, is there anything I can get to protect it apart from a kill flash?
joshcowin Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 You could make your own using some sort off rail mount and thin or thick perspex, when using thin perspex tilt it back at the eotech a slight bit, around 75o so the kinectic energy from the bb goes up and not straight forward punching a hole in the perspex
G-Force Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I've seen rail mounted front covers before but I've never been able to find them. If you watch Rainbow airsofts videos you'll see them.
Tariq Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Rather expensive for what they are... Lens Protector
the_robbo Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Airsoft-Wales on eBay sell them. Not too much money and look fairly robust
