Supporters M_P Posted June 19, 2011 Author Supporters Posted June 19, 2011 whip it up on pimp my gun, let us see
Supporters Finius Posted June 19, 2011 Supporters Posted June 19, 2011 This going to be a fairly long post That's the gun, as best as Pimpmygun can reproduce. Here's what will be different on the end product: 1. Stock will be slightly different, it'll be the ACM Socom, featured on RSOV: CLICKY 2. Pistol grip will be SPR style, as will trigger guard: Grip - Guard 3. Ironsights will be different, particularly the front. Front Sight. - F.A. Glow Bar - Rear sight 4. I'll be using this receiver: G&P Widowmaker 5. This flashider: CLICKY 6. This charging handle: CLICKY -CA M15A4 sportsline base. -Will be using STAR E-mags. -The ACM stock looks very thin and long, I'll be shortening it and then getting some foam cut to go round it; it beats paying nearly £100 for the similar G&G version. -The internals will be entirely reworked. New receiver comes with a metal hop, I'm then rebuying everything for the gearbox (including the shell), aside from the electrics. -Probably gonna get a tightbore too, dependant on how decent the stock barrels are in CA Sportsline. -I'll be trying to use "proper" brands as much as possible; the china stuff listed there is because the build I presently have needs to fit within a budget, but this will probably be a rolling project over the next six months. -Things like Delta rings etc I'll probably eventually replace too.
Supporters M_P Posted June 19, 2011 Author Supporters Posted June 19, 2011 looks good, by the way, madbull make that stock too, might be cheapr but im not sure. that cahrging handle is a beast- you could kill with that lol, same goes for that flash hider FYI, the inner barrels on the sportlines are ok, but nothing special
Supporters Finius Posted June 19, 2011 Supporters Posted June 19, 2011 Glad you approve Didn't know Madbull did a version, will look into it for sure! Charging handle's definitely very cool, might go further eventually and get ambi selector and mag release switches, just for cool points (I'm right handed, but whatever). As long as they're fairly okay, that'll be fine; most barrels go from okay to spot on when you clean them out properly
Supporters M_P Posted June 20, 2011 Author Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 its funny how one of the most unique parts is the STANDARD handguard, i habent seen an M4 on the field with one for ages lol
Supporters Finius Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 I know, it's becoming seriously neglected, yet is, IMHO one of the nicest bits you can have on an M4. I may put rails top and bottom for a grip and PEQ, but to be honest I'm not sure it's what I want to do, it'd spoil the "clean" look of the handguards...
Supporters M_P Posted June 20, 2011 Author Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 Another option is the one with rails molded into it, made by i think its.... fab defense or something
Supporters Finius Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 Just checked that out, looks pretty funky, might look into getting one of those as well
Airsofter123 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 My to buy list is basically just a custom M4 stock, but I have no idea where to get one made Basically I'm looking to have one with a sheath built into it, rather than having to strap the knife to the side of it. Then I'll just need to find a couple more add ons and my M4 will be complete
Supporters Matt! Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 Why not buy those and whack a sheath inside? you could easily pad out the rest of just tear it about and attach the sheath to the straps.
Airsofter123 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Yeah, might give something like that a go. Might be a bit tough for me to get the right angle but sure to be one hell of a lot cheaper
Mitchell Gee Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 why would you want a sheath on your gun anyway? not knocking the idea, just asking...
Supporters M_P Posted June 20, 2011 Author Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 Why not? stops his rifle looking the same as every other m4 on the planet
Airsofter123 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I'm cross dominant (left handed but right eye dominant). As such I shoot pistols and use knives left handed, but shoot rifles right handed. This means that my left side is pretty cluttered as it is - it's got to take dump pouch, pistol and magazines, and I don't like drawing knife from right hand side (it'd either be on my shoulder so make shouldering the rifle tricky, or where my pistol mags go). So stock is the best place I can think of mounting it (also makes for fast knife draws thanks to cross dominance, finally good for something ) A lot of trouble I know, but worth it for the odd knife kills Basically, going for something like this The aimpoint on top is supposed to be a 2-6x AOE scope, and knife is supposed to be in a scabbard on other side of gun
Tristan Orr Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Well, since I have my New G&G M4 (G4) CQB-H yes with Magpul MOE hardguard in Dark earth (don't judge me). I just need to work on my gear for Ground Zero. So this is what I'm looking at getting: Commander Soft Shell: http://www.military1st.co.uk/bl-cmr-fm-01-...cket-black.html Warrior Chest Rig: http://www.uktactical.com/acatalog/Warrior...Combo_MK_1.html (along with admin and dump/drop pouch and a riggers belt) Blackhawk P226 holster in Tan: http://www.uktactical.com/acatalog/Serpa_T...eg_Holster.html KWA P226 (to go with the holster ofc): http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/a...ing-pistol.html A-TACS trousers: http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/acatalog/A-TACS.html and last but not least Spec ops shirt in black: http://www.viperkit.co.uk/site/clothing-bo.../prod_1520.html
Supporters Finius Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 If it helps, I duck taped a Beefeater teddy bear to my SAAV and I use him as a knife sheath?
MZKaleem Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 As soon as Finius mentioned that, i felt as though someone was stabbing me...
Supporters Finius Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 Maybe I am into voodoo, maybe I'm not In all seriousness though, the knife actually goes into the gap between teddy and the SAAV; no stabbing occurs!
Supporters Matt! Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 ah thats ok, thought his ass held the knife in place
Supporters Matt! Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 Blame Finus for planting it there
Supporters Finius Posted June 20, 2011 Supporters Posted June 20, 2011 I take no responsibility whatsoever for the twisted minds of my fellow airsofters
Tristan Orr Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Lol, knifes are funny and the places I have seen them stuck is just wrong!
Mitchell Gee Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 MITCHELL half those things happened because you A) Took apart the hop up, no offence but you probably didnt know how to put it together... B ) They are G&G give 'em a break, they aren't a clone company remember that! C) You told me your brother took off the motor and that was why it stopped working. D)Albert's FPS dropped, wow big deal. FPS doesnt mean anything. E) He doesnt have any G&G mags, remember? Maybe you need to think, G&G's work fine, just buy G&G mags... A) I took it apart because it was broke... Correct, but trying to find mid caps is a pain C) Correct... D) I know this, but it's still an inconvenience E) But none of them feed properly, remember last game it went all duwop
