Supporters SeniorSpaz87 Posted June 10, 2020 Supporters Share Posted June 10, 2020 Hey all, One of my VTGs has unfortunately failed. Looks like the spring and pin that hold the firing pin down have managed to wiggle out and are now exploring the wilderness. I tried emailing SWAT but have heard nothing back - its been about three weeks. Anyone know who else I can try to contact?
Guest DrAlexanderTobacco
SWAT are sadly very unreliable at both delivering product and replying to queries nowadays. Not quite sure about the specific issue (i.e. how would the firing pin and spring escape?!) but here's a teardown thread, if it helps: https://arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/208255-dynatec-dynatex-vtg-bfg-how-it-works-and-take-down/

I wonder whether the Dynatex BFG sear is the same size, and whether you could contact them for a replacement.
EDcase
I saw somewhere that they were interchangeable since they're essentially the same product. Perhaps if you can get the dimensions you could get a replacement made.
FreeFrag.UK
Do Swat have any form of social media page you could try contacting them through? Might be worth having a nosey.
EDcase
The SWAT website is still up but I tried email and phone to try and buy one a few months ago.... no response. After reading some of the forum posts about em afterwards I'm glad I didn't send any money 😄

They have a facebook page but there has not been any activity on there since the lockdown. https://www.facebook.com/SWATAIRSOFTUK
Ropeyshep
It looks like a fairly straightforward piece of brass, do you know anyone with a lathe?
