Moderators Tackle Posted March 8, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2020 Hey guys, had a tavor in bits in holdall for a few years, took it apart to sort the obligatory selector rod problem, got distracted (trust me it's easy 🤪), & never got round to sorting it. Not playing for the foreseeable so thought I'd get all the projects sorted, this one I thought I'd dmr it, electronic trigger, some kinda barrel/body extension & up the FPS. BUT Being the dumbass that I am ive lost all the body pins, & my googlefoo is shite so I'm hoping someone here, such as our resident bullpup wizards @Iceni or @Asomodai , might know where to look ? Thanks in advance guys. Mark
Iceni
Contact Landwarrior, I believe they have the Umarex import contract now. Umarex are generally pretty good for spares and have an active Tar21 on the products list. Failing that contact Umarex directly as they might be more able to help. S&T also has a Tar21 active and will ship spares. The pins are not listed but they might be able to get spares.http://www.smartteamhk.com/en/aeg/t21
Asomodai
Afraid I haven't come across spare body pins on public sale ever. However Ares direct are pretty good with spares even with some of the more esoteric stuff in their catalogue. Worth a go? Alternatively get M4 or G36 body pins and cut them down for size? Even a nut and bolt would be quite good and likely hold the body together better then a mere pin. Or get someone to 3d print these. https://www.stlfinder.com/model/airsoft-tavortar21-stock-pin-lwYZ0rbU/8325080/
Iceni
Or in a pickle you could use some M5 or M6 cot bed bolts or sex bolts. You will have to gamble with these as the 5/6mm might be the OD of the bolt or the threaded bit!https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M6-Furniture-Joint-Connector-Bolt-Cap-Nut-M4-Allen-Key-Head-Cot-Bed-Bolts/161508601119?hash=item259aa9ad1f:m:mnkfj01WIQaKAS1D-cppaKAhttps://www.orbitalfasteners.co.uk/categories/button-head-6-lobe-pin-barrel-nuts-stainless-steel https://www.orbitalfasteners.co.uk/categories/button-head-machine-screw-stainless-steel?page=
AK47frizzle
3d print? :)))))))))))
Moderators Tackle Posted March 9, 2020 Author Moderators Share Posted March 9, 2020 Thanks guy, 3d print would prob be my last option, merely cos of getting the size right & plus I'd be happier with metal. In all honesty I hadn't tried M4/g36 pins for a size guide, I'd be inclined to think the 36's would be a closer fit, failing that I have the option to make my own, but tbh I was looking for the path of least resistance (ie lazy lol), so I'll try those supplier links first . Then on to sourcing a beefier front end, seen the devastator ris which isn't bad but bit pricey so I'll look for an alternative even if it needs some fettling ? Thanks again guys 👍
Iceni
I don't think you have many options for the TAR-21. The 14"" disruptor or the Angry gun hand guard replacement is about it. The disruptor has the advantage of replacing the handguard, and having the extended barrel included.https://www.evike.com/products/58349/https://www.evike.com/products/55027/

Chris_B
email wargamegearhk, just ordered some missing parts off my Ares Tavor recently; rear sight and rear butt pad pin. They're proper Ares spare parts but you do have to wait a week or so for them. [email protected] Email them your Ares model number and they'll send you an exposure plan and just let them know the part numbers you require... They'll get back to you with a quote. With the trigger rod issue, I sorted this by using a tiny 'e' clip so no longer pulls out of the bar as you press the trigger. Hope this helps

Haven't had a look at the rod issues yet, but I've got plenty of those clips in various sizes, so maybe I'll get it up & running again first before I consider the dmr "plan", which to be honest was little more than an excuse to do something weird with it lol.
