Can you get these adapters in aluminium/metal?

Specifically the top ones. Plastic nubs keep breaking (funnily enough in the product image you can see one is broken)

 

Looked allover ebay and aliexpress and can't find anything.

Yeah..  even the originals aren't done in metal, they're just not done in terrible lowest-possible-grade chinese plastic so they're a lot less likely to break.  Also if an airsoft company made something that spindle'y from pot metal it'd be so brittle it'd break quicker than the plastic.

Is 3D Printing with metal a thing? I'm pretty sure it is.

Rapid Prototyping, Additive Manufacturing and all that jazz.

yep 3D "printing" in metal is a thing. it's properly known as laser sintering however it tends to be far too expensive to be cost effective within our niche hobby ?

It is a thing but is expensive as mentioned above. Additionally the little wings on a WingLoc adaptor need to flex for it to work properly!

 

The OpsCore ones aren't really that expensive if you want parts that will work and last.
