sonofsammo
I couldn't find any posts on here about this, so apologies if I missed them.https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268&products_id=5644 Has anyone got one of the new G&G versions with the ETU? What's it like? Reliability, range, rof etc? Would you recommend it? I'm very tempted, but need nudging! lol The other option I'm looking at is this:https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/s-and-t-tavor-ts21-sar-full-top-rail-aeg?pv=5643 Any help/advice from your experience of the rifs would be most welcome 😄
Asomodai
@sonsofammo I have been looking at info on the ETU F2000 myself. Safe to say it's not been that popular. Though it might be worth looking at the reviews of the L85 with the ETU as it's the same package. The G&G is upgradeable to a point (parts compatability issues and proprietary hop unit) Though if you dont mind not having the hunter scope it might be worth saving the Penny's and getting the Cyma F2000 and upgrade it as it's essentially an AUG internally and has better potential performance upgrade performance because of better parts compatability. The S&T you have linked is the sport line with fancy rail kit. It's not worth the extra for the kit. It's sort of upgradeable. But again easily breakable proprietary hop unit and it's a pig to take apart. If you really want one, pick one up from Crownairsoft in HK as they are blowing out the Pro models starting for around 95 quid (Even with shipping and customs it's still worth it) which has a naff EBB system but better quality internals and external. If you do want to deal with HK but want a pro model then I think bbguns4less or whatever they are called now has a tan non flat top pro for 260 quid. The Tavors trigger pulls is very long even compared to the F2000. I am looking to pick one up from Crown hopefully soon. As to the range and rof of each gun I couldn't comment much... the S&T has a poor ROF because the wiring is incredibly long winded, most people rewire to the back of the rifle and open the buttstock which helps with the ROF. So if you aren't looking to upgrade, go for the G&G, if you are looking to upgrade go for the CYMA. If the Tavor is more your bag then go for the S&T pro. Let me know if you have anymore questions 😉 Ps. Get the Cyma F2000 and the S&T Tavor from HK and upgrade them when you next get paid 😉 https://www.crownairsoft.com/collections/rifles-assault-rifles?sort_by=price-ascending&view=all https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/s-t-t21-professional-version-blowback-system-aeg-in-tan.html 57 minutes ago, sonofsammo said: I couldn't find any posts on here about this, so apologies if I missed them.https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268&products_id=5644 Has anyone got one of the new G&G versions with the ETU? Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted July 13, 2019 Supporters Share Posted July 13, 2019 Be interesting to see if the etu is any good, i have the original version and even with a titan nano and a truckload of tweaking i've just given up hope of semi auto ever being useful. While the g&g hop unit is proprietary, its basically an m4 hop unit with the bottom cut off, and its decent enough you dont really need to upgrade it. Gearbox is standard v6 apart from the trigger unit/cut off lever which theres no point commenting on if its different with the etu version. Only other things about the g&g is getting a sling mount is a pain (i got one custom made) and they might still have that tab on the bottom of the gearbox that blocks you using normal midcaps, but 30s with a hacksaw gets rid of that tab and the gun runs fine without it. Supporters Druid799 Posted July 13, 2019 Supporters Share Posted July 13, 2019 My youngest has the S&T Tavor , and it’s a dam fine gun cracking range and accuracy but as above the RoF is a bit sluggish to say the least but then again I hate sooper dooper monster rates of fire anyway so no biggy to me .👍 PS we have the ‘normal’ one and I picked up a set of extra Tavor rails from action hobbies for pennies .👍

Miss having a Tavor around!
