mimozine
any ideas what would cause a m4 hop unit to be inconsistent? it will fire perfectly then it will fire like the hop is off, then it will over hop, then go back to normal again! its certainly not an ammo problem, its quality ammo and works fine in every other gun i have. Mostly Retired Moderators L3wisD Posted March 4, 2019 Mostly Retired Moderators Share Posted March 4, 2019 I had that on my first Specna, changed the rubber and nub to a Prommy purple and it was fine ever since. So, I'd try a different rubber & nub. It's only about a tenner after all. Or something you could try first (which I've never tried - but apparently it works) is using the trick with the inside of a BIC pen tube to fill the gap on a hollow nub in order to stiffen it up and stop it collapsing from the BB. Arwen
As above, hop rubber and nub are good to try first. Could possibly be the hop working itself "off"? So the arm/wheels are too loose.
Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted March 4, 2019 Supporters Share Posted March 4, 2019 could be inconsistent air seal, what kind of magazines are you using and does it do it less when the mag is nearly empty/unwound?
