emilianoksa Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Love the look of this stuff: https://sg.carousell.com/p/tactical-chest-rig-russian-smersh-ak-sso-135899709/
AshOnSnow Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Don’t know why but it looks like high weight:storage ratio
Wo1f Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I agree. Nothing is quick accessible. Everything is low and to the rear.
emilianoksa Posted March 23, 2018 Author Posted March 23, 2018 True. But it looks good, dunnit? Or maybe not. The mags are still accessible but I thought Russians preferred to carry them on the chest. Maybe it's just a Smersh thing, and designed for a particular type of role. I take your point though that all that weight at the sides and back isn't going to aid balance. The stuff on the back is too low to be comfortable.
Albiscuit Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I do like the look, not too practical for a skirmish though. For me practicality and comfort outweigh everything else
Supporters Rogerborg Posted March 23, 2018 Supporters Posted March 23, 2018 In Soviet Russia, bags saddle you. It does have a sort of rugged retro-look to it, i.e. from before militaries actually figured out load carrying and access. Maybe not that practical, but I can see the appeal.
