Kallum Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 i am 16 years old and starting airsoft one of my friends is getting a new Rifle and is going to give me his old one to keep and use would this be legal as i don't have a UKARA if it is legal could i go play at a airsoft field with out him and just play by myself.
Kallum Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 so it would be fine if i go to a airsoft field with a full black rifle with out him?
Root Admin proffrink Posted April 18, 2016 Root Admin Posted April 18, 2016 Yes. Make sure you have a bag for it though (or cover it up properly) during transportation. That's just a general rule by the way.
Kallum Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 thanks guys. the law is a bit weird you can't buy a full black one under the age or without a UKARA but you can have one, does anyone know why just been looking at the laws for air soft and can't really understand that. and this is for the UK just to make sure?
Root Admin proffrink Posted April 18, 2016 Root Admin Posted April 18, 2016 No, this is the Spanish AirsoftForums.co.uk. And yeh, VCRA is poorly implemented, but what it does cover is at point of sale and not ownership.
Kallum Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 so this would still count for the UK or not?
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted April 19, 2016 Supporters Posted April 19, 2016 I can honestly say I think its about time that there was a suitability test before being able to buy/own an airsoft gun.
Root Admin proffrink Posted April 19, 2016 Root Admin Posted April 19, 2016 We'd probably be left with about 300 people nationwide left playing.
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted April 19, 2016 Supporters Posted April 19, 2016 We'd probably be left with about 300 people nationwide left playing. But they would be the right ones.
Supporters Lozart Posted April 19, 2016 Supporters Posted April 19, 2016 or was that a joke Yes, that was a joke. Just barely. As it stands the laws around RIFs are full of holes and an awful lot of people that say they understand them are often mistaken. But as already stated, you'll be fine. And yes, this is for the UK.
