I have the WE XDM compact and it's a cross between a glock 19 and a 1911.

Comes with 2 mags(21 and 26), 3 mag spacers and backstraps and it cost £114.

Feels good in the hand with the longer mag too

This. The full size is better, but out of your price range - the .45 Match is even better, but way over your budget.

Hello gents, quick question - apart from price, is there any difference between this:

And this: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/Umarex-Heckler-Koch-45-USP-Match_AYVVK.aspx?nh=218901#.VIDHycVFCv0

They look slightly different, just wondering is there are the same gun just cosmetically different or not.

I'm looking for an accurate gbb pistol for fun target shooting, i want something reliable that's nice to shoot.

Any and all help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The actionhobbies one is not System 7, KWA's flagship gas system, which they also call something like 'professional training pistol'.

If you only want it for target shooting and not for airsoft skirmishing, then you can go for something which is too 'hot' for most skirmish sites, and in that case, this one is a very good choice, since it looks a lot like a Ruger pistol, so it ticks the 'realism box'. Technically at a claimed 210fps, it isn't over the odds for a skirmish pistol, but I've seen those things shoot a lot hotter than 210fps. And at that price it won't break the bank either:

Note that it is a gas powered pistol, so its performance might not be great in cold weather, but it does at least have the virtue of being non blowback, so all the gas is being used to shoot the sixteen rounds in the mag and not being wasted on moving the slide backwards and forwards, which affects accuracy when shooting rapidly. Another advantage of that one, is that it shares magazine type with their compact tactical sniper rifle, so if you wanted to do a bit of rifle target shooting, or even sniping at a skirmish site, you'd save a bit of cash on mags:

Thanks gents, greatly appreciated. :)

I'm still working through options - I fancy GBB because I tried one and I like the "feedback", I'm target shooting for fun so I'm not really hung up on pinpoint accuracy but I'd like something reasonably accurate purely because that's more fun. I like taking apart/maintaining things so I'll enjoy that aspect of GBB. I've fired a few of the "real steel" versions of the guns I'm interested in so I like the strip/semi-realistic action of GBB.

The KWA/HK USP Match is the front runner at the moment for my first gun, hence why I hijacked this thread. :) Any further options to consider are GREATLY apprecaited.
