  1. Time to switch my ad-blocker on. A bit much don't you think?
  2. So you spent nearly as much money (if not more) on two hop units than on that low end Specna Core of yours last year? (using UK pricing). I give you credit for your dedication to find that last 5%.😜
  3. And I suggest that you re-read my original post very carefully. I said: 'Maxx Hop units are supposed to be very nice - if you can get it to work with your gun. For every success story with that unit, there's one or two others where it just doesn't work for their setup. ' I'll give you an example - there are a lot of posts on the ICS owners group about the ICS-specific version of the Maxx unit. Not much said is positive. You get good results from yours - kudos. But it's a bit rich that you imply that sitting in the same postcode is a prerequisite for an opinion - given that you have freely admitted that at least some of your units are AliExpress knockoffs. Just out of interest, how many real, genuine (and full-priced) Maxx units do you actually own?
  4. Funnily enough, I pinged a guy on there about a gun 4 weeks ago. Got a message yesterday saying 'Yeh, it is, still interested?'. I might wait 4 weeks to reply back to him saying 'no'.
  5. Umm...that top left one looks....umm....more than a tad under-aged and over-graphic. My 'Nearly-40-Father-of-Four' instincts really don't like it.
  6. You're quite right. To be fair though, it's an ICS - you can service the compression parts in under ten minutes.
  7. https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/electric-rifles-smg-s/3204786-ics-m4-cxp-16s-magazines-accessories-chest-rig £250 for a £170 (new) gun with a sprinkling of crap/low value accessories. Oh, and no postage either. I doubt it'll be going anywhere anytime soon.
  8. And I thought V3s can be a ball ache with their triggers. Fortunately I have no desire to buy an M14...like, ever...
  9. Unfortunately that last 5% of performance is easily scuppered in the real world with the merest zephyr of wind. But I get your point...🙂
  10. I do need to point out that the tensioner is what...15mm long or so? Over that length there will be very little flex, even on plastic. Lots have people have had good results with the ZCI unit. And for £8, if it doesn't fit, I wouldn't be too bothered. A £65+ unit on the other hand.....😲 Bottom line - why go through all the hassle of filing, drilling and swapping nozzles (at a significant overall cost to boot), when you can get 95%+ of the performance at a fraction of the price, and in many cases without modification?
  11. I refer you to an expert in these matters:
  12. That's a pretty nebulous question. 🙄 Are you looking for a store that sells upgrade parts, or a store that undertakes upgrade/tech work for you, or a store that will sell you upgrade parts and fit them for you? Try again - but with more details. Also, if you had a specific gun type in mind, providing that info will help steer the answers you receive.
  13. Same here @Robert James, If there any spaces available I would like to attend.
  14. I'd suggest watching Negative Airsoft's videos on YT. He has a high opinion of the ZCI Plastic Rotary Unit, but a fairly low one of the Maxx Hop Unit. Given the volume of guns he's had over his workbench, it's worth listening to his knowledge drops during his vids.
  15. ZCI Barrel, Maple Leaf Macaron, Omega (or style) Nub, ZCI Rotary Plastic Hop-Unit. Job done. Don't bother with Prowin or clones. Maxx Hop units are supposed to be very nice - if you can get it to work with your gun. For every success story with that unit, there's one or two others where it just doesn't work for their setup.
  16. Good. I'm running mine with an ICS Stubby fixed stock. It's my CQB gun - super pointable - I love it. Only basic upgrades done - all ICS - bearing spring guide, o-ring nozzle etc.
  17. I'm pretty sure that @TheFull9 has had gear from them in the past and posted on his FB page about their products. I've not heard anything negative about them TBH.
  18. Tsk-tsk. A silver mock BCG. It should be black....just to be accurate...😉
  19. Ummm...it's a cartoon...she doesn't exist.... Anime fans - I never understood that 'Waifu' bollocks.
  20. lol. The OP no longer owns the trousers - they are now in my kit bag. I like your YT channel BTW, I own an ICS CXP-15 based off your videos. Bought a couple other ICS guns since that one too.
  21. Yeh, well, my Specna Edge was so shit that it now sports a complete E&C Gearbox. Gave up chasing the issues with the crap quality of the internals. CYMAs internals are better.
  22. Most early Paintball HPA regulators were adjustable. Huge, heavy, stupidly expensive, but adjustable outputs. Air America Armageddon, Smart Parts MaxFlow, WDP Angel Air (towards the end of the adjustable era) are a few that spring to mind. Preset screw-in regulators became popular from around 2002-ish onwards when people realised that well over a pound could be shaved off the overall setup weight. I played for a team that was 'sponsored' (Read: discounted) with Air America products. Wasn't a huge fan myself.
  23. Not SCAR sized, but fairly big - I use one of these: It's ribbed for greater...umm...screw retention? Can't find exact measurements but this youtube vid will give you a sense of scale. You could put a couple mats together side by side if you need more...umm...girth?
  24. Yeah - just spotted that they are collecting £6 in taxes if you add to basket. So about £38 all-in The tank has 3000/4500 Psi, with it's own regulator to bring it down to 450/850PSI and burst disk for safety, before hitting this inline regulator, which has another burst disk. I'd say structurally, it would be fine assuming it's made from 6x series Aluminium. Made in china - most high end Paintball stuff is now. 😉 I had 35+ Paintball guns (including 6 Autocockers, 4 Timmys, pre- and post- Dye Matrices and various PE Guns) between 1999 and 2015. Obviously all were HPA using 1, 2 or 3 regulators. But I get what you are saying - it's all down to the QC and who is overseeing this particular product. I don't see a significant safety issue with the product exploding or such like, I'm sure it'll be fine structurally, more likely the issues would be things such as pressure creep, FSDO and flow rate. Anyway - it was just an idea and to see if anyone took a punt that could chip in with their experience - not sure if I can be bothered to jump down the HPA rabbit hole of dive tanks and fill stations again. Thanks all.
