  1. Cheers bud. Yeah the UK started using the L1A1 SLR around the mid 50's, I believe. The L1A1 is a derivative of the FN FAL, and was built under licence from FN. Even though both the SLR and FAL look the same, the L1A1 has a few different features compared to the FAL. The UK version of the FAL then went on to be used by other countries like; Australia, Brunei, Canada, India, Jamaica, Kuwait, Malaysia, etc. As for the watermark, it was added for two reasons. Firstly to emphasise the 'British' part, and secondly to try stopping it from being used without my consent. As I have had a lot of trouble with a few of my images being used on various websites without my knowledge. And one of those websites are the ones that charge you to download the image. took me nearly a year and legal action before they eventually removed it. Never did see any royalties from it either! Which is why I always try to advise to people that post either high quality or artistic shots of their kit/rifles, to either water mark them with a logo or add 'such and such photography' somewhere in the shot where it can't be cropped out.
  2. He may be better of just using a gripod, less cumbersome. But as you say it's up to him. So I made good use of the nice weather this morning and got spraying! My G&P MK46 MOD1 with RS improved bipod. Nothing special wise on the body, but did spray up the barrel to look like a real fired barrel. It's not 100% but it will do for now. Other than that, just a few little bits left to do, looking at customising a 'nutsack' to fit and she should be done.
  3. Been playing about with the GPMG barrel, trying to give it a warn look. Still think a should take a little bit more off the chamber area. Any opinions on the barrel would be gratefully received.
  4. Not a bad effort chap. Nice to see something different.
  5. My G&P M249 (no addons) weighs 6.5kg, just weighed it. the box mag only weighs 0.53kg empty, so 6.6kg overall before stuff added. My Inokatsu GPMG on the other hand weighs in at a massive 10.3kg without anything added. 24kg with tripod, scope, ammo tin.
  6. You legend, been trying to find what type of spring it is for a while. If its the same size as the G&P box mag one, then its just a tad too thin, but I'm sure I could find a way to make it fit. Much appreciated chap
  7. I would like one but not sure it would fit. The DG kits are designed for a Echo1, this is a Inokatsu. Plus the price of a DG kit I could put a decent amount against a TM AA12
  8. Qlimax, looks the nuts. I must say, that flash hider just looks nicely naughty More of mine, Now have a Tripod and working on getting the original box mag into the ammo tin and running a long tube up.
  9. This is always a two way argument. Yes there are people out there who only add a few parts and call it custom, then try to sell it at a high price. But I have also seen people that have really spent a lot of time and money building absolute beast's, yet get lowballed by people that either don't have a clue what they are buying or want to buy gold with buttons. For example; there was a guy last year on another forum selling an Inokatsu STEEL M240B for £900, which is a bargain when it cost £1600 New and was unskirmished. Yet two lads made a thread about what a rip off this guy was, and that it was overpriced and that you can get the same thing for $300 from the abroad. Well most people know a $300 echo1 to a full steel Inokatsu is a big difference. But my point is; where is the line drawn between an over priced gun, or someone just wanting something for nothing? At the end of the day, as everyone else has said, if your not happy paying that price, give a offer, if not accepted, walk away. It's no biggy is it?
  10. yea you will have to make an account, but its been a long time since I joined and cant remember the sign up process. I will contact him tomorrow and point him in this direction as he maybe on here too.
  11. if you speak to a guy called GhostofGreen on zeroin he has some spare ones. plus once you do get a new one (or a pair) I would bend the bar ends round a bit more so it holds them in a bit more so there is no chance of it sliding out and losing another one.
  12. Ed, that l85 looks good, just need to get it dirty and rub away some of the edges
  13. See I was actually that sad and scrolled through EVERY page!
  14. If it's the one I'm thinking of, I'm having some issues there too. I'm try to get information regarding L119's Now there are 5 or 6 members on said site that claim they can or have been near a real one etc, pm them for any details. Yet I have pm'd them over the course of several days and only had one answer me!. Yet with the others it shows that they have viewed their pm's too, bloody rude!.
  15. A lid is a lid, its only a bit of kit that maybe a particular unit will use or is issued, but isn't wrong to wear unlike a beret that is earnt.
  16. Tbh there are ways of pulling off a loadout with an eye for detail and a bit of research with out ever having to wear any insignias, ranks or berets and possibly offending people. If you look closely you can identify units sometimes just by the kit they wear. these are only rough outlines for example: If you are doing a typical para dpm loadout use a para helmet instead of a mk6 Afghan loadouts are even easier. Early 2 para wore ddpm trousers and top, mk2 osprey with standard plce webbing over the top plus a para helmet. Early 3 para wore ddpm trousers, ddpm ubacs with ddpm blackhawk plate carrier plus para helmet ( most with choc chip helmet netting). Early royal marines wore ddpm trousers, dpm shirt/jacket with either dpm plce or dpm assault vest Later marines wore ddpm trousers, ddpm ubacs but then dye the ubacs green and wore mk2 osprey. The list goes on but I'm sure you see what I'm getting at. So some people will recognise the load out without the need for patches. Just to clarify I did for 1 photo in the pictures section but was for reference of a loadout, but would never airsoft with them.
  17. went back through mass effect and forgot how good the end credits are. http://youtu.be/gISlB1IdUjI?list=FLpQbvUasU83fA2Kn_aLvKnw
