  1. the ideal solution is either a sling with the correct hook but with the same versatility or a new loop on the gun. i have removed it but it appears to be one screw holding it on which sounds like a simple job to replace although i suspect it also holds the foresight in place.
  2. i have a temporary solution and i figured out how to fit the sling correctly
  3. my TM G3 SG1 AEG (skirmished once by previous owner) and M1911 springer (ex rental) i think i did well for a total of £300
  4. thats good to know but picking the right one looks like a nightmare. thanks for putting my mind at rest. i really like the versatility of the sling i have so i do want to use it if i can figure out how to fit it correctly. its been a long time
  5. the first thing i want is a sling but i dont want a single point. i liked the SA80 sling and have a genuine army issue one which will fit the stock nicely but the front loop is very small and round. can that be changed or have something more suitable clipped to adapt it?
  6. the M130 spring wasnt fitted. it was bought with a DMR in mind for future upgrades but he is going for CQB instead. the gun is around 290 fps as it stands now. i dont seem to have the upgrade spring so i wont worry about breaching fps limits although i would like to get a lot closer to them while still using the site supplied beebs
  7. fixed it. i removed the stock and found a connector inside that wasnt connected. now it is making satisfying noises so i will be taking it to POW on sunday i wouldnt worry about the scope. the seller advised me to start off with the iron sights and the scope is far beyond my knowledge so other than turning on the red/green crosses, i havent the faintest idea about setting it up. far too many bits that turn and have numbers on them apart from the seemingly self explanatory one. it says YARDS so i guess i set that to the range i am firing at
  8. no idea but i spotted the advert and asked a mates advice. he said bite his hand off so i did. £270 for everything but it seems to have a power issue. nothing is happening and i have charged the battery. someone is having a look at it for me this week fixed it myself. i got brave and pulled out 2 screws holding the stock on. there was an unconnected connector inside. all seems well now
  9. TM G3 SG1 Accessories : 2x Classic Army High cap Mag's, Besonder opschtic 6-24x50 scope W/scope mounts and FU lens, 8.4V 2100mha NiMh Battery CA g3/mp5 rail, JG m130 spring he threw in a gun case and charger too
  10. you start of signing the oath of allegiance and pledging to fight for queen and country but in reality you fight for you and the guys fighting next to you no matter what they look like or whether you love or loathe them
  11. I am buying a RIF with a couple of mags, scope, better battery, gun bag and upgraded spring. One thing I do want is a sliencer but I haven't seen this particular rifle before. How universal are upgrades? Its a TM G3 SG1
  12. just out of interest (future reference). what cleaning is required after a wet day? We had to strip our SA80 and wipe everything down to prevent rust but they were easy. AEGs have batteries and all sorts of other small parts that the real guns don't have. Plus I am buying a rifle I am completely unfamiliar with so how far will it need stripping to keep it working?
  13. I never thought of civvies as lower class human beings when I was in I do now though they come across as a bunch of narrow minded bullys in which case, IF they even signed up, I doubt they would have passed out (out of basic training. I have no doubt that they have passed out through alcoholic consumption). their military references seem very vague and I reckon some simple questions would have them flustered quite easily or go straight for the jugular. Why airsoft instead of joining up and playing with real guns? Because an ICS L85A2 is more reliable than the real thing or more realistically, a lot of airsofters have injuries from military service which prevents them from being a reserve. I am planning on trying but I think airsofting is my limit due to my medical records the irony is that airsofters seem much friendlier towards their own kind than a lot of serving soldiers did at my first unit. It was very cliquey there (my next posting was completely different) but that has not been the case in any of the skirmishes I have been to (admittedly, all at players of war) so far
  14. is that the netting style Russe11? I have one but i have tried using it yet
  15. that is the one i found on ebay. The hat is annoying me but its more tactical than no hat. A hood does sound like a good solution and since it is full zip, it can be as open or closed as i like throughout a skirmish. The warmth may be a problem but that might be worth living with for the other benefits
  16. i had an idea for better protection above the neck since i currently use a hat, goggles and half mask. This leaves a lot of exposed skin and isn't very tactical. I can buy a woodland camo hoodie which would cover everything that the goggles and mask leaves exposed and it wouldn't look out of place with a CS95 loadout. I am not sure if its actually issue kit although it is possible that they replaced the fleece with it. It does seem to be the same full front zip but with a hood added. opinions?
  17. the french go for full blown realism. they wont turn up if they are expecting the other team to turn up
  18. i recently bought doom 2 for PS1 to play on my dusty PS2. i have a gamecube with a Zelda collection going back to the original
  19. a change of clothes for the journey home might be advisable but the game is just the same. Only wetter!
  20. http://www.sportsdirect.com/dunlop-dakota-mens-saftey-boots-181038?colcode=18103804 these are the ones i bought for airsoft. worn them once and had no issues at all although they will need breaking in which i will be doing over the next few days. i bought insoles to put in them for extra comfort but they are optional i would definately choose leather over swede for muddy skirmishes. i did buy magnums and they are a pain but the mud dried and literally fell off the dunlops without me having to touch them. i walked through mud and within 20 minutes they were clean
  21. my mate couldnt make it so i went to AirsoftWorld who have no record of me so i couldnt buy they do have some really interesting weapons though
  22. thanks. I am going to land warrior to meet up with a mate at the same time. Plus i cant find an address for airsoftworld!
  23. i am going window shopping tomorrow but as an impulsive buyer, i might find something interesting to use on Sunday. I do not have my UKARA number yet so what can i do? I don't have contact details for the site i use (website wont work on my phone) and it is not the retailer who is putting me on the database
