Yeah I agree, its the mutts nuts, and MUST be done, no one else will have one the same, that's for sure! Nice work Monty! Although using the foregrip may be tricky with using a drum mag?

As youve established you'll need to pay for a new slide why not drop Firesupport a line? They do carry Marui parts and might be able to get one for you, or even have one in the shop. Worth a try at any rate mate.

The LR300 stock is fairly heavy and comfortable. I have a A&K LR300 long with a suppressor, which has the battery in the foregrip yet its not particularly front heavy. Without a side rail it should sit nicely on your gun I reckon.
Mag wise I guess use one appropriate to needs, if its your primary go for the ginormous RPK, or as sniper back up then the short spets one would be less cumbersome?
That railed top cover looks good, have to say I've not seen one anywhere but equally haven't been searching extensively, but yeah it would open up sighting options. The Cyma Galil one I have has a flat mounting for the rear sight which is bolted in place and gives a nice long sight base for iron sights, though I guess a short rail could be fitted if preferred.
I also found the rail on that foregrip just a tad short even for stubby grip attachments so it could be a struggle. . . . . !

I do like it a lot, though you'll probably have to leave out the fore grip, or use a short magazine as I think the fore grip will get in the way.

Yeah, a side mount is always going to be a potential problem with a folding stock, although the LR300 one looks like the hinge is quite wide, that the folded stock would not be right against the receiver, but I agree the HM/CM one does look the total db. It may be worth doing without the side mount just for the sake of having it!
TBH I had not even considered how low those rails are. You might be right that they would interfere with the grip and yeah, i know what you mean about "too complex" - it does look a bit like something designed to be used on the space shuttle or something! It would be the most difficult of the 3 to add weight to without looking horribly bodged, if it turned out to be too light. I think that's that one consigned to the bin. But no, I'm not going for a buffer tube style stock at all - they all look yank, and while Russe11 is right about the LR300 being basically an M4 stock, it doesn't actually look like American design.
If you mean one of these, yeah mine is usually in my bits box too!
I suspect that the skeleton grip may be heavier than this proj calls for, especially if, as i've just thought, I add one of those rail extensions so I could mount a torch as well, but it does look soooooo cool lol!
I can imagine what you mean there but i'm not sure i've seen that kind of top cover for sale as an individual part. Have you got a link? There is this type which patrolbase used to sell...

    ...which are oos.
But they are a lot better looking than those hideous fuckers with a massive tri-rail lump all along the top cover.

Yeah, pull your finger out! Get your AK out for the lads!

Mate, i have been so fucked up recently that i haven't spent much. I have the wonga to proceed and, having discovered some really sexy parts within my financial reach, proceed i shall!

Right, I've made a decision - the skeleton foregrip it is. Just as well because having bought the dark earth one because black was oos, DE is now oos also. Phew! I absolutely hate it when I think i probably will buy something and by the time i get round to it they run out of stock V^^VGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I was intending to buy a really cool sling from chaka98 on fleabay for the PP-19 Bizon i'm buying, but that has gone oos :'(

Looks a good project Ian! That HM/CM stock looks the db's! Personally I think I'd go for that on looks alone, just looks so badass! May be lacking in weight though, and I've no idea how rigid it would be, but that goes for any sliding stock in fairness. As it folds to the left there could be issues with it interfering with a side mount rail, but you'd have same issue with the LR 300 stock too probably. That Tanker style stock looks good too but again the sliding rails could well interfere with holding the pistol grip, assuming its wide enough to clear the pistol grip/receiver to start with, and maybe it just looks a bit too "complex" for a Soviet gun? I know what you mean about disliking crane stocks, but what about an ordinary original M4 stock? You could stuff the stock tube with weight too to counter the suppressor, and it looks simple and functional as befits a Soviet style gun.
Tbh I wouldn't use one of those folding grips for 2 reasons, firstly they are aren't very rigid in the vertical position, and second that big bolt head release digs into your hand badly, frankly they are uncomfortable, I had a very similar one on a tactical AK and it very quickly got relegated to my bits box. That skeleton grip looks just the ticket however imo.
With the short sight radius I agree a red dot would be a good idea, if the top cover is solid enough that's where I would put it in an ideal world rather than ahead of the top cover, but it could mean a bodge to fit a rail on there. If a Galil top cover would fit, that has a small flat mounting area at the rear which could be utilised for either a dot, or even irons if something the right height could be found.
Anyways just my thoughts, also inspiring me to get the stock on my own hybrid AK sorted!

Just after this photo was taken...

...one of the opposition thought he'd sneaked around to flank us, but had actually rocked up about 10m to the right of the POV of the photographer, or right down the throat of Svetlana my SVD. Being so close I couldn't just drill him so, being ever so careful not to draw attention to myself by moving quickly, I picked up my Skorpion with drum mag fitted which I had laid at my side, also under the sniper veil which had evidently defeated his target recognition skills.

Things to know about this JG Vz61 is that I have upgraded it with a PDI 6.01mm TBB, a Gate Pico MOSFET, where possible heavier duty wiring, and a 20C 800mAh LiPo - and I had only recently completed the electrical upgrades so I was quietly chuffed with my little self for turning what had been an ok-at-best sniper backup into something which would do as a primary weapon in a pinch, so as I took aim at our unfortunate protagonist I had great expectations. After chrono I had filled the drum mag as far as sensible, wound it to full tension, and stuffed a piece of foam into the space above the BB's to stop them rattling, which it did brilliantly. Perfect as a sniper backup.

I mean, shit, someone had crawled right past me in bright sunlight and not seen me under my homemade veil even though he was being cautious, and I had the tools for the job, all home customised: I was really pretty pleased with myself. I pulled the trigger...

    "Skrr-du-du-du-du-du!"

...but no fucking BB's. The bloke hadn't noticed though - I banged the drum mag and fired again - same result. He still didn't notice though. Dropped the mag, shook it, tested that it was still fully wound, reinserted and fired again - fucking nooooooooooooooooo! By this time a few of my team who were dead and lurking with a marshal at the back of the game zone were laughing and I had lost all patience - from their POV they could see the rear half of me not under the veil so my intended victim still not seeing me must have seemed even funnier - i finally rolled over, dumped the veil and changed to a stick mag - got him and another bloke who had crept up a bit further away, but then got rinsed by a few enemy coming from the opposite side of the game zone, from the direction the photo was taken.

Truth be told, if i had been more patient I could have slunk back a bit, changed to the stick mag under the veil and then regained my uber position under the tree (where it's shadow confused my own shadow making me even more invisible) and gone back to Svetlana for the crew who got me, because they'd never have seen me. But I was very new to camouflage actually working, so I didn't have enough confidence in it. I spose I had just assumed that after 3 bursts of dry fire the bloke must have been moments from spotting me. The pic below is taken from the POV of just off screen to the right of the 1st, ie the direction the victim was in, but closer and also standing. What it doesn't show very well is that the ground sloped away so that my lower half wasn't visible from the height and distance of the victim, or to those who actually shot me once i dumped the veil.

Ended up in a one on one pistol duel in a fairly open bit of woodland, I was leaning back on a slope with small bushes behind and either side and as we were both firing pistols through vegetation it was a little stalemated. A marshall and several dead players were watching from about 20m away. As it had been raining earlier I was wearing my DPM water proof jacket. Next thing I hear a pyro being lit so lie back flat, grenade comes through the air and lands behind my head, no choice but to move rapidly away, grenade fuse still sounds just as loud though.. . . . BANG! It had landed in the hood of my jacket so full credit to Will for that one, proper fluke! Spectators were wetting themselves, I couldn't hear for about ten minutes!

OK not a film, but the "Sharpe" series, specifically the battle scenes, which never seem to feature more than a total of about 20 combatants in what historically were some huge battles. Like Sharpes Waterloo where they defend the farmhouse as its the only bit small enough to get away with so few people!

The film Waterloo on the other hand is epic with a cast of thousands and incredible battle field panoramic filming. Apart from the cavalry charge where the officer is obviously riding a rocking horse. . . .

Insurance and brokerage costs are very much dependent on who the carrier is and what the value of the items in the package are. You'd need to get a shipping quote through Evike if that's where you're buying from. The duty and VAT calculation is a bastard. You have to include the shipping cost and the insurance then calculate the import duty, add it on then calculate the VAT on the whole lot. So you get taxed twice in effect. Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with a bastard filling.
This is the calculator I used in the past http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/

That's the thing deek... Someone has a rif...

They could have been given it
They could have owned it before the act
They could have brought it without any defence, from a shop or privately
    They could have made it
They could have painted it from an I.F
They could have brought it legally from a shop or privately

There's absolutely no way of ever knowing... Makes a shambles of the entire thing. First time I showed up with a rif, I was told I was breaking the law by owning one without a licence... By "experienced" people... It's mental :-)

Its all such a grey area, the more I look into it and read up the more confused I get.

They way I see it, I own 2 RIFs and no UKARA membership just yet (working on it) BUT, I only ever take them out with 2 guys who do have a UKARA and on my way to a skirmish, I would never show them off, take them out or even use them in my garden due to the fact I do not want armed cops jumping on me mistaking me for a terrorist.
As far as I am concerned I am breaking no laws, hurting no one, scaring no one therefore as long as I am responsible I expect everyone else in this sport to be so too to help maintain a good reputation for Airsoft.

I can understand you not wanting to get into trouble so I suggest you respectfully ask your parents to read the VCRA section on Realistic Imitation Firearms and Imitation Firearms via Google so THEY can decide how to go about purchasing an airsoft gun for you, as any comeback (however unlikely) would fall on their shoulders due to your age.
