  1. Anyone at UCAP bunker tonight?

  2. It will do if you heard a whirl sound. If there's a bit of grinding on the motor teeth maybe it just needs adjusting on the motor height more or the gears aren't shimmed right and the bevel gear isn't central to the motor. You don't have to take it all apart again but it you keep shooting with grinding noise it might cost you a bit more. It should be easier to see where isn't going wrong if it's griding, just look for wear.
  3. Nothing holds the motor in other than the handle cap you've taken off. Try getting some needle nose pliers, wiggle and pull. I suggest taking the whole thing apart. If it's making a 'whirl' sound, your gears may be spinning and just hitting the tip of your piston teeth, eventually destroying it.
  4. Wiggle it, it'll come out. If you've played with the height on the motor you might of pushed it up too far into the gearbox and jammed it.
  5. You mean the motor is stuck in there?
  6. Yea. It basically pushes the motor up to properly mesh with the bevel gear.
  7. I've had this happen to me before. I found out either my gears weren't meshing right with the piston (AOE), or it wasn't shimmed correctly as the wear wasn't Central on the piston. I double checked shims and added a sorbo pad and corrected AOE and has ran fine since. When I took the gun apart I found the gear and ruined the piston teeth and I needed to get a new one.
  8. There's a screw on the bottom of the handle. Wind it all the way out and slowly wind it in, firing every rotation.
  9. Haha, you've painted a brilliant picture there Ian.
  10. Similar thing happened to me before. I no longer do the surrender/bang rule, I just shoot.
  11. He used to be on here quiet a bit, spoke to him a few times. His article was pretty good; "Stuff your bang rule. Expect point blank kills and thrills when I'm around"
  12. Just flipping through this months airsoft action magazine and I stumble across our very own Blackdeath. This man is everywhere, I'm sure I've seen him on the cover of a magazine before?
  13. Lonex A1 with 13:1 gears, well worth it. Burst control is nice but can't you just tap your trigger on full auto? As I said earlier, hamsterfet was easy enough install and I think it was only £15. Glad yon sorted it anyway, That's what the forums are for!
  14. Its a microswitch I think, try goggle it.
  15. Just have a quick read of this; http://www.kingdomofairsoft.com/index.php?content_name=guides&sub_section=Microswitches Might be worth putting a mosfet in if your trigger is a micro switch, might save you doing all this again.
  16. I'm having a look for you but I've never seen trigger switch like yours. I can't see how you trigger sits in it. Confused!
  17. Mosfet are easy. It's youre basic 2 wires from battery plus a 3rd wire that goes on your trigger. I use hamsterfet, easy to set up and fairly cheap. Mosfet are only really needed if your planing on using lipo batteries. I put one on mine while I was upgrading for ROF and thought I might make the switch in batteries, I still haven't. Well done mate, looks like you sorted you gun out by yourself. You've just saved yourself some coin and also gained something money can't buy; experience.
  18. I might have my old wire with a fuse on it if you want it. It's still fine, I just took it out when I stuck my mosfet in. Nice work on the motor testing, told you it'd be easier with 2 people
