  1. I'd say that's pretty steep for what it is. Pretty sure they aren't far off that new.

Yeah, as I say, a piece of piss!
  3. I've had a lipo fire. Nuprol 7.4 lipo. Kinda lucky I still had the stock contact bars in the NGRS it happened with. Just pulled the stock off and threw it far away before it destroyed the gun. Kinda disconcerting mid game tbh, battery was practically new, maybe the second use, and charged with a proper balance charger.

Also not cheap, but Esstac KYWI pouches are incredible. Piece of piss to get mags in and out but you can turn the pouch upside down, shake it about and never lose a magazine.
  5. You've REALLY nailed that two tone look. Love it.

I use a plate carrier, and belt. 3 mags on the front of the PC, 2 on the right side, 1 on my belt and 1 in the gun.

Just installed the wiitech steel semi auto sear. Oh my god that trigger pull. So crisp now, not like pulling an oar through treacle... Getting that trigger box out of the lower was a bloody nightmare though.
  8. Best holster I've ever got my mits on, I'm using mine on a UBL with QLS. I'm a little obsessed with it! Need one of those PTT retainers too. Just got this, but nowhere has TAG Shells in stock. ?
  9. Tracked down some Ranger Plates, another 6 en route. Solves my problem with the PTS EPMs, that ropey looking baseplate!

Seeing as no one wants to buy the thing, I've decided it's going old school cool for now...
  11. Very nice, which model no. Is that? Looking for something similar.

I can't stand that fiddly bastard ? always end up with a mess of BBs.

How do you guys load your magazines? I've got a TM speed loader with the adapter, but there must be a better way.
  14. Cheers. "Available on back order" sounds like that might be a while then...
  15. A looky boy, and more Sugru. Attempt no.2 at sugruing my grip, first attempt looked gash. This time I've dremeled off the finger groove, and put some sugru on the grip, and some on the trigger guard. I'll let them cure separately, then hopefully I can still get the motorgrip off easily. Do you have any experience or knowledge around this unit at all? Seems well priced? https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/product/cobra-optics-titan-gen-2-night-vision-monocular/
  16. "Today I've been tasked with..." "The enemy has sent out a hunter force to hunt me down." Oh do one. You've not been tasked with anything and no one is out looking just for you, you're at the same field playing the same sodding game as everyone else. Shut up and get on with prancing around in your bush suit. Think that's a fair assessment. I like the smaller channels for sure.
  17. It was your fault I bought at KWA LM4 about 6 years ago. I must have watched your videos on it to death ?
  18. Nothing ignorant or uneducated about zip ties (and various types of tape!) After my clumsy arse stripped screws out of my stock tube on my TM, that was held together with a combination of both for a while! Not trying to be a snob or anything like that, just stung too many times by Chinese products!
  19. I'd definitely go with the modding. This is kinda why I vowed to stay away from replica gear for the most part. You spend your money, and you get something that's either out of spec from the word go, or lasts about a month, and then you buy another. Cheaper genuine gear will usually trump cheaper replicas trying to be gucci bits of kit. You might spend a little more, say £45 vs £20, but if you're only buying it once, it's worth it.

If the Wolf Armouries website is to be believed, there looks to be about 50g in it between the two. 450ish vs 500g.
  21. Ask nicely he might show you ?
  22. Don't know what you mean mate!
  23. Unpopular opinion (not meant to upset, more promote discussion) - If you're looking at a way to improve your airsoft experience, instead of buying kit, work on your personal fitness.

Since July I've lost 2 stone, and greatly improved my cardio and flexibility. I feel much more effective as a player now.

Refined sugar has no place in any decent diet, glad to see the back of it.

I've gone ahead and created a topic, as Jedi said.

Personally I tend to use airsoft for fitness as well as fun - but a 200 acre site in the North Wales hills will do that for you!

That and mowing three lawns totally about a third of an acre and on the side of a hill help too, especially pushing around a non self-propelled petrol lawnmower after first dragging it up to the top of the flaming hill (which is higher than the roof of the house).

Unfortunately the recent month and a half of little activity mean I need to start getting back out again very soon as I've put on a bit of weight (think dad-bod not morbidly obese).  Sadly my age doesn't help too much either, although my brain still thinks I'm in my early twenties my body is painfully aware that I'm in my late forties!!

As for losing weight and keeping it off, I subscribe to a very simple formula: eat less and move more.  Works for me!

Last I saw Davescustomairsoft still had two in stock, mine arrived yesterday.
  25. Look, I'm having a tidy up and I tried to crop it out okay!? ? Also, on that note, the really useful 9l storage boxes are perfectly sized for magazine storage.
