  1. The spring is new. This evening, it has had an M90 and an M100 in it.
  2. I have been messing around with an old G&G CM16 Carbine (the original version) and am getting around 180FPS. I am very experienced at upgrading, fixing and building AEGs but cannot work out what is wrong with this one. The gearbox is original with the following exceptions: SHS M90 spring Metal ball bearing spring guide SHS cylinder head SHS O ring nozzle Gate PicoSSR3 mosfet Rocket high torque motor There is no delayer on the sector gear. The airseal is pretty much perfect and everything runs as it should. The barrel is the original aluminium piece of crap. The two hop setups that I have tried it with are: 1. ZCI plastic hop unit; Maple Leaf Macaron and Omega nub 2. Original G&G hop unit; G&G Green hop rubber and nub Both give the same FPS. With the nozzle fully forward, there is no light leakage down the barrel when an LED is shoved up the feed tube, so I am certain that the nozzle is engaging correctly with the hop rubber. The paper test on the feed tube shows nothing. Any ideas?
  3. The ZCI barrel and Macaron will make a positive difference. Did you fit an Omega nub as well? If not, you really should with the Macaron.
  4. I bought it because of the consistency; I was fed up with the inconsistency of normal gas pistols and their tendency to vent whenever they felt like it. Even after upgrading it (wiring, bushings, spring etc etc), the low power and the sheer lack of fun annoyed me so I switched to a CO2 pistol, which really is great fun.
  5. I have the CYMA mosfet version; it is ok, no more than that. Even with the mosfet, the trigger response is sluggish; that, combined with the low power, makes it rather disappointing to use, which is why it has been in a cupboard for ages.
  6. The evidence so far indicates that you are;). Do you need a new spade yet? That one must be worn down by now.
  7. Oh dear! That went right over your head, didn't it? You stated that you will never change your opinion; I pointed out that was the position of a fool as only a fool will never be prepared to change their opinion. Do you understand it now?
  8. If you have an opinion and will never change it you are a fool; a wise person changes their opinions as new facts emerge, as John Maynard Keynes almost certainly did not say.

It is a DBoys; the 051121 serial number is the give away.
  10. Zed pulled out; it is part of Gunman's empire now.
  11. Does the .097b platinum have an optical trigger sensor? I thought it had a mosfet and a microswitch trigger. If so, it is probably the now standard problem with the micro switch breaking.
  12. Yes, that is what people do. Just keep it on semi. There is no list of airsoft guns that are banned.
  13. After playing for several years, I spent a few years marshalling at a couple of sites, although not concurrently. The first one was unpaid, not even petrol money, but my two lads got to play for free; I was the pyro marshal (I have a bit of professional history with explosives), so had great fun blowing chunks out of earth mounds, old cars, ponds, the general landscape and, on one occasion, a structure (oops!). All of the marshals thought nobody was getting paid until we found out that the chief marshal was getting £250 per day. By then, my eldest son was also marshalling; we resigned at the end of a day which had started badly and got worse after a row with the site owner. The chief marshal was sacked for supporting me and another marshal resigned in solidarity. Not long after that, the marshal who had resigned in solidarity and I started playing at another site where, after a year or two, we both got roped into marshalling on the basis that my younger son could play for free (his older brother had given up airsoft as he now had real rifles to play with) as could his son. However, we soon realised that the guy running the site was a bit of an arse and that most of the other marshals were a waste of space; the best run day was the occasion when the two of us were the only marshals on the site. We quit and went back to playing at the site. Since then, two site owners have asked me to marshal; I have learned my lesson so politely turned them down. Marshals are essential to airsoft; however, too many sites abuse their goodwill.
  14. I have the ISSC and find that it runs well with the following midcaps: Real Sword MAG. King Arms AK mags that fit an M4 magwell. Saigo Defense (internals shimmed up - this needed doing to get them to feed in any of my RIFs that take Stanag mags)
  15. Err...that's not an AKM lower.

What a salty little twat you are.
  17. It looks like the delayer chip is on upside down.
  18. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you are making yourself appear to be a bit of a prat. By the way, your understanding of the physics involved is appalling.
  19. Yes, changing the spring for a slightly weaker one, or cutting down the spring, would do the trick. There is a good video guide here: And here: If it has been modified and a different spring fitted, you may not need to open the gearbox.
