  1. I have a tiny Turnigy Nano Tech LiPo battery (25-50C 950mAh 3S 11.1V / 71.5mm x 25mm x 20.5mm) for sale in the Classifieds (about 2 weeks old, never used). It may well fit inside that stock, or diagonally into a magwell. I looked at those tanker stocks when i was considering what to put on my Franken-AK build but I couldn't find any pics which showed the rear of the compartment unscrewed, but it does look as if a threaded cap is meant to come off. Naturally you would have to drill a hole to fit the cable through if there isn't one next to that long bolt. Also I have no idea if the AR57 gb can take 11.1V without upgrade...
  2. KWA System 7 H&K P45 Match. I haven't fired one yet, but it's lovely to hold. If only the APS Yarygin Grach had hop up... and was site legal FPS wise :'( so beautiful
  3. This. The full size is better, but out of your price range - the .45 Match is even better, but way over your budget.
  4. Also look at profarmy.ru - it's all in Russian so you'll need to be a googletrans-ninja and their order form is a bit confusing. Index means Post Code. Where there is a box for postage options just put 'Post to UK'. When you click order, that is just to confirm that you want the stuff. They will send you an invoice with an order number. Reply to it asking for an invoice including shipping to the UK. Don't panic if it takes them a few days to get back to you. Payment is via PayPal in USD and shipping for 1 set of pants and jacket is about £30 - I just payed $83 posted for a Partizan style (SS Leto / Autumn / Oak) uniform. Can't say fairer than that, eh?
  5. Keep us posted I suspect that a comment I read elsewhere will prove prophetic: something like "with GBBRs you can have either cheap or working, not both". But let's hope not...
  6. Pretty much everything which comes from the USA gets hit by Customs for VAT - although stuff which comes from China/Hong Kong ought to also, due to the way the customs declaration form is filled out, often the latter gets through unmolested (in my experience about 6/7 parcels). You can get that vest from ehobbyasia here. Gloves like these are very good for CQB as they protect your fingers from close range hits, which do sting. You can get them even cheaper used, typically a quid plus P&P... A 1/2 face mask like this, with 2 straps, stays locked to your head better than a single strap design. This is important so the mask does not move when you run (see my avatar for what happens when a BB hits between a loose mask and goggles at close range). Many people find these uncomfortable, but if you modify them to add a couple of pads to the cheekbone areas, they are very comfy. I have a big nose so that extra bit of velcro loops stops the mesh bugging my nose tip. Choose eye protection which forms a seal against your face, so that ricochets cannot get behind the frames/edges of the lenses. Edit: the avatar i mentioned, for posterity...
  7. TBH I think i'll still use MK5's for launching over cover, but there are times when just rolling a BFG around a corner would allow me to progress, so for that money, it seemed daft not to give 'em a go. I have some Thunder B's too, which i love for their massive bang, but i need to modify them to make them go off faster for them any use for getting hits. As it is, they're just good for denying access through a space.
  8. It's perverse, but i do kinda like it. But like that it wont be much use as a sniper rifle when the weather brightens up, because it will glint even through a veil.
  9. Off the top of my head i think the feed lips on the mags are reputed to be easily knackered, but I believe that the main concern is that the whole design isn't reliable. This may be prejudice however because some SRC guns have a well deserved bad rep (M4's) and some people just don't like many of their guns because they often use proprietary parts which cannot be upgraded with aftermarket parts easily (I have one of their G36's and, apart from the hop rubber it comes with, it is good, but it does have a proprietary hop chamber which doesn't do anything differently to the TM design most use, it's just not quite the same shape, which means the best upgrade is the one it came with - SRC's own pot metal design as opposed to their plastic design, but it works fine anyway so no problem, except... if, as i did, you lose the little rod which pushes the rubber onto the BB in place of a standard nub, you cannot buy any old ACM hop unit just for that part, you have to get an SRC - this bugs me, as does the fact that the gun will never evolve - there is no CNC 7075 ali hop upgrade for eg). You may find that there are similar differences in their GBBR design. I'm not into GBB at all though - even my pistols are NBB, so I tend to skim/skip posts in forums/fb which concern them.
  10. There are obviously a wide variety of gloves which you could choose and some look cooler than others - for protection from painful hits to the fingers however, paintball gloves like these can only be bettered by armoured motorcycling gloves.
  11. Yeah, I finally took the plunge: 1 x Shock Colour Black w/ 9mm & Shotgun Primer Adapter - £55 posted Thanks for the heads up
  12. I honestly do take your point and I'm not saying that what happened is not understandable from a LEO's perspective, because "gun=threat; I have a gun: shoot" is totally understandable, for the reasons you pointed out and more. But don't we expect more from those into whose hands we give the power to take life, along with the responsibility to guard us? All life is precious, but no all human life is not equal. Cops take an oath to put their lives at risk to protect and serve the public, they voluntarily make their lives less important than those of the public they swear to serve. Now what Tamir Rice did is without doubt extremely stupid, but he was a member of the community whom those cops swore to protect, even from his own stupidity - kids are stupid: the fact that they get themselves into dangerous situations because they do not fully understand the consequences of their actions is a known hazard. In fact it is enshrined in law - we have an "age of criminal responsibility" and although the US have this weird system where they sometimes decide to try minors as adults, and despite the fact that we, as adults, can see all sorts of reasons why this kid ought to have known better, he was by even the most punitive of judgement a child young enough that his actions can be reasonably expected to be irresponsible. SD, if you don't want to read this debate any more, why not click "Unfollow" at the top of the page? Personally I find exploring what I think and how i feel about serious topics (and others to which they relate) stimulating. Listening/reading what others think/feel is how I challenge my beliefs and continue to update my world view. In this instance I find I do actually respect the dedication required to police properly a lot more than I thought I did (I have been on the receiving end of some dire policing, but in comparison to being shot for stupidity, that pales into if not insignificance, at least proper perspective). And it all makes me wonder again where I stand on gun ownership: I mean we know for a fact that prohibiting things does not make them disappear, nor does criminalising ownership of anything deter people from acquiring them, but unlike alcohol & drugs, guns are a serious danger to other people... I dunno. Loz is right, the USA has a major problem and I fear that our culture is heading in the same direction, so although we do not have the same prevalence of gun ownership, whatever it is which makes the USA different from Canada, where per capita gun ownership is actually higher than south of the border, may well rear its ugly head here, just in other ways.
  13. SRC Gas Blowback AKS74U has a poor reputation.
  14. Catherine Zeta Jones? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
  15. Pro cop. Quite clearly... A child is dead, Mike. Child. Dead. I mean, yeah, "could of been handled better" is one way of describing it, but with the gravity of the outcome, I feel that "massive fuck up for which those involved must be held accountable" is better. And yet, when the boot is on the other foot, when John Q Public defends themselves against a perceived threat, the appropriateness of their response is exactly what the cops attempt to determine, in as much minutiae of detail as possible. Particularly when someone has been killed. Quite obviously if the child drew a weapon, he would be in a position to become a threat to life. However, simply holding what may be a gun. while enough to indicate that someone needs watching, is not actually a threat. It is not until the gun is raised that the threat exists. Now sure, once the gun is pointed, it may be too late. But you can squeeze a trigger a lot faster than anyone can raise and point a pistol, so it is possible to wait until the threat is undeniable. My point is that when dealing with children, in general, cops should err on the side of caution*. Yes, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that a child may be a stone cold crack shot with lightning reflexes, who may be able to draw a pistol and accurately shoot a cop in the head, but it is unlikely. They have body armour. They have the option to be sure in their own minds that the 'gun' is being raised. *And yes, that may occasionally cost cops their lives. That is the job. You really do have to be brave to do it. Would i do it? Not unless there was literally nobody else willing and even then, not as a full time job, because I know that I'm not mentally stable enough to be clear headed in the face of threats to my life day in day out and I have no wish to become trained for it. In this situation, the cops knew that the child had been walking around pointing what appeared to be a gun in a playground. But no shots were fired. What was he doing? He had obviously not taken a gun out with the intention of killing random strangers, or he would already have done so. Maybe he intended to kill someone specific, but in that case why brandish the gun at all? The whole thing is clearly childish stupidity. Hence why the cops should have been even more cautious than when dealing with children per se. You know why I get to judge? It's like this: If I go to a game day and see a great paint job on a gun, I may ask the owner who did it. I may then come on here and tell you lot that IMO Dave Picasso does a great job of painting guns. I am a citizen. I employ cops whether I want to or not. When I see the performance of cops, I have an opinion. There is nothing weird about me telling you that IMO Officer Triggerhappy does a poor job of protecting and serving the public. I do not have to be any good at painting guns myself for my opinion of Dave's work to be valid. Nor do I have to be a cop to require high standards of policing.

    Ukara number ??

No, you don't have to play all 3 games at the same site - if you print the form off yourself it has space on it for sites to fill in their deets and stamp it, (plus to write what forms of ID from you they have seen) but it was never created to force sites to do the paperwork for you. Nor do you have to be a member of a site. Since then however the idea that you do have to become a member and pay, if the site require a joining fee, has become pretty universally accepted. But yeah, as i said in the example, sites will know what number UKARA will assign to you so they can tell you as soon as they check their records. But also, my Skirmish membership number is nothing like my UKARA number.
  17. If. Massive little word that. Not surprising that the 'ifs' in question always illustrate a position the debater has already locked themselves into. But how about we stick to the known facts. The kids top is pale bodied and dark sleeved. Yes, it is a very grainy video, but not so grainy that we would have been unable to tell if he had raised an arm. He didn't. Whether he was touching the RIF at the time the cop's bullets struck him or not, he definitely did not have it anywhere near close to a position where, if he had fired it, the bullet would have posed a threat to anyone. Nobody disputes that being a cop is a difficult and dangerous job. My point is that if you're not up to it, you should quit, not shoot a stupid child because you do not value his life sufficiently to take a fraction of a second's more risk.
  18. They just didn't care quite enough about Tamir Rice.
  19. Here's a chart, but that 1 doesn't show the single digit height size - i can't remember where the other chart i used to use is now, but it goes sort of like this 6= above 186cm 5= around 180cm 4= 176cm 3= 170-2cm 2= proper short and i've never seen any 1's. Edit: but there are also things sized 1, 2, 3, 4 like KZS jacket & pants, KLMK onesies, belts, webbing - 1 is the smallest, 2 is average/medium, 3 is average/large, 4 is big and tall-ish (Russian gear tends to be made for slightly shorter people in general than UK sizes and arms/legs can be a bit short if you're what we would call a Medium and you get a 2, or if you're say 178cm and 32" waist 38" chest (50-4) - but it depends on the style of the garment because sniper camo has extra long arms anyway...

    Ukara number ??

That's not how it works at all sites. Skirmish Airsoft Mansfield for eg give you a membership number which is their reference for your details, but when they send off your deets to a UKARA registered retailer you get a different number back which begins with 3 letters identifying the site, so mine begins "SKI" - I'm not sure how UKARA assign letters if you do your 3 games at different sites, but regardless, it is a UKARA player registration number. Your site may simplify things for their records, for eg if they know that your UKARA number will begin with their site ID, they will know which number comes next. E.g. Wombat Airsoft Ltd have registered 31 players, so they know their next player to get a UKARA number with their site ID will be WOM00032.
  21. Sounds like a good time for a bit of father'n'son 1 on 1... bonding over the 1" bruises
  22. Bloody hell that is tempting. Even though I have nothing to carry the mags in... There are no production midcaps for it though, iirc.
  23. That switch in the top left of the editor switches to the BBCode editor - if the ipad allows that button to work, then write in in as i showed you above, with the media tag on either side of the url, and then click back to the wysiwyg editor view and it should appear.
