Not what I've bought I must confess, but santa was absolutely surgical in his airsoft present selection this year I must say. I've decided after giving them a go for a good while that I do not like the Oakley SI Assault gloves, as popular as they might be, so I'm looking forward to trying the Outdoor Research. Also the first Chest Rig I've ever had in my whole time 'softing, apart from a chicom I bought in 2009 for £12 to use when dressing up as one of them darned terrorists to get shot at (with blanks). Though the bit I must confess I'm most excited about is actually the new wallet, which is a very long story so I won't go in to all the details here since a man's wallet is a highly vital piece of EDC equipment with a lot of aspects to it's usage. But at last I've got one made of 1000D cordura with double stitching reinforcements and bar tacking. Happy days. You'll probably get a giggle from this as well. That's the back of the SKD sticker, i.e. the part you throw away.

MSM package rocked up. Not sure whether this was meant to be a dig or a friendly bit of humour, but the patch was free either way so I'm not complaining. 'RAW' hoodie which is perfect for one's airsofter-about-town fashion styling. Review will be up on YouTube tomorrow. I will not be giving up my day job as an armourer to become a male model. And of course if you're ordering from MSM you are legally required to get a few more patches, and my Mega PatchBook also has a long way to go before it's full. These stickers/vinyl transfers they've started doing are really excellent as well.

New loadout carrying gear. P.I.G. AKB (Armour Kit Bag) with PIG Mk1 shoulder straps and the obligatory patches/sticker you just have to throw in to the shopping cart whenever you place an order online. Looks better when there's stuff actually in it. Still strongly resembles like a brown paper shopping bag admittedly, but a shopping bag that you can fill with all your very favourit'est airsoft kit and rest assured it will reside safe and sound within. Also in case anybody was wondering, the sticker is a little bit of memorabilia for the massive sale SKD Tactical held as soon they found out Osama was sleeping with the fishes (literally as it turned out).

Does the missus gun have more accessories on it by any chance?

I've not tried any of their actual Chest rigs/PCs or upper body clothing, I found their MOLLE pouches to be somewhat hit-and-miss (though cheap it has to be said), but I've never been anything but impressed by the combat trousers. I got a set of MC Ultimate Direct Actions a long while back which are a bit heavy but very durable, then some Direct Actions in AOR2 last year which are perfect if you want something really lightweight with internal neoprene kneepads, most recently these new types are sort of a bridge between the two. Nice that they came in AOR1 for a few dollars extra as well. No stretch fabric like Cryes so they're a bit tougher overall, design accomodates the external kneepads (comes with a decent pair of their own design) and the pocket layout is nicely done. If you're like me and you prefer to carry 1 rifle + 1 pistol mag in a trouser pocket as you leave the safe zone, so that you can load and still have your easiest to access mag pouch filled when the need arises for a quick reload, they work exceptionally well.

It's all been about Crye style trousers for my last couple of procurements. Custom built from scratch (not be me, I literally cannot even sew in a name label) AC/Gen II type Combats in MTP: The kneepad pockets are reinforced by being constructed using 500D Multicam cordura, and the stretch panels aren't as stretchy as the Crye stuff but they're many many times more resilient. CP Gen 3 kneepads fit and velcro in perfectly. I've spent a lot of time looking in very closely at almost every single stitch and this guys' skills are just amazing, I'd probably say I prefer these overall to the Crye Precision originals I have in Ranger Green. I do love my Crye uniforms, but these cost less, they're much more readily available and they come in a far wider range of colours and camo patterns.

Good choice in an AR. I'd definitely run the setup from the second picture. The photos themselves are quite well setup, try and get outside where possible, the quality of proper sunlight makes pictures look far better right away. Specially if you setup a nice clean background.

You've got the right basics with the photography, needs some slight refinements and you'll be bang on. The background in the first one is probably the best because it's purely the gravel, no plastic garden furniture or other random colours that distract from the subject (i.e. the guns).

To be honest, I've messed up more of my SOCOM EBBRs by changing internals than I have improved them, so I've deliberately left the SCAR CQB bone stock (on the insides). If you're not a clutz with guns like me though (great for an armourer!) I'm sure you'll be able to stick a tightbore in there easily enough and tighten up the groupings a bit. I'm not certain if 363 is the right length but if you've already checked that out then I'd say that's a good way to go with things.

Very solid purchasing choice. Last game I used mine I had one guy ask if it was a GBB.

Must be a re-brand of the KWA? Anyone got one to compare? Nice setup as a 1911 goes though, good that it comes with the mag well, decent sights, hammer, grips etc. Well photographed too.

Dammit.. was just talking about covers on another forum and got that stuck in my head. Shows what happens when you don't actually read things properly before replying. Ignore me, I've just been playing batman games for too long today.

That's probably not going to fit to be honest. I mean it may vary on individual kit but stores have given me a medium MTP cover that doesn't even fit a medium helmet because the cover is cut for a Mk7 and I've got a Mk6a.

Well, it'd be a bit silly from a logistical point of view for only the army and marines to switch and the rest of us still be wearing DPM.
