Hope you've got a cosplay instagram account for this kinda stuff, people over there fuckin love it. Some airsofters will too of course but the real demand is in cosplay and I'd reckon that's an overall globally bigger 'thing' than airsoft these days.

The gold match has gold on it. derr -
Which is still happening all the time in here.

'The daddy' in terms of size or chronologically?

.50 BMG rifles yes (for now anyway), but not the M82 that's a self-loader.

A magnet will resolve that query very fast.

What you've quoted is literally a completely different shirt to the linked ad, and I wear those 'navy' dark blue issue shirts every day in work. What the one in the ad on here is actually worth I've no clue, but those surplus dark blue shirts are fairly clearly not the same item when you look at the features. Do you know what the HurricanE kit is made of? I had a quick go at researching it and there's a thread in the Arnies news section from 2004 so all the pages I could find are long dead, no idea if it's steel or cast airsoft-cheapy-sort of aluminium alloy.

Was there a shirt on ebay recently? Well no either way I bought it from my buddy Ivan aka Kit Badger heh. -

It's pretty, though I think totally impractical if not in a proper desert even just from the point it'll get covered in stains super easy. Also weirdly common compared to some stuff which is surprising. Late 90s USMC experimental trial pattern called Urban MOUT (sometimes T-Patt or T-Block) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Urban_Warrior -

Largely working on the AC/Gen 2 part of my little Crye collection, also jumped on the total liquidation of the Magpul clothing line; plus other bits n' pieces as per. -

Well that's retarded. As in they cut off when there's less than 9v supply going in? Pretty weird with the number of 7.4s out there, I'd have thought a decent mosfet would know what's plugged in to it. -

Left overs of the rampant unwarranted paranoia that was abound when LiPos started becoming the norm? I don't know for sure but it seems like dud advice to me. NiCd and NiMh are entirely capable of going wrong the same way LiPos can and we all have LiPos in our phones that we have in our pockets/hands all day and charge every day using extremely basic chargers (though the phone probably has some features built in in terms of charge cut off), not to mention tablets and wireless headphones and a million other modern gadgets. End of the day there is a definite difference between the really bargain-basement chinese junk stuff you get 'free' with some super cheap guns and what I linked to. I've been using that thing for maaany years with a dozen+ batteries and had no issues at all, quite the opposite it's been far less hassle than when I used NiMh. Granted that's one anecdotal example, but I know plenty of other people with the same charger who've also used it for a long time with no complaints at all. Doesn't mean it's not good to invest £40 or so in a better charger down the line but you can easily get in to the game with something affordable. -

Sorry chargers are not a valid reason, I've been using one of these since switching to lipos 7 or so years ago and it's worked perfectly: https://www.componentshop.co.uk/800ma-charger-for-2s-or-3s-7-4-11-1v-battery-packs-complete-with-mains-power-supply.html Might not have a digital display but it charges, balances at the same time, cannot over-charge etc etc - cheap, reliable, zero learning required just straight plug and play and fool proof. -

Literally just buy 7.4v LiPos, they're what everyone and their dog uses and has been using for yeeeeears. How those did not come up in conversation at the store I seriously seriously cannot get my head around, smacks of a shop palming off undesirable stock frankly. 7.4s (very roughly speaking) have the same sort of overall output as 9.6 NiMh, except they're far smaller, far lighter, can be charged far quicker, have a far more consistent power output over the duration of the stored charge and don't need anything like the maintenance in terms of long discharge cycles for storage. If you can't return what you've bought then fair enough it is what it is, but speaking generally to all readers here, buying NiMh now is like buying DVDs.. maybe VHS tapes. -

"Loadouts: British MTP (all genuine british issue including vest exc knee pads)" You can get issue Revision eye pro that will stop IED frag for £20 on eBay, then you'd not have this concern. Much better some fogging than shot in the eye. You can get all sorts of anti-fogs and aftermarket fan kits. FMA is not a brand from which to be buying the one and only utterly crucial piece of protective equipment needed in airsoft. The double irony is that what you've bought is a chinese knock-off of Revision goggles and they cost the same as the real ones that don't have the fans. Not in a million years would I trust that stuff to protect my eyesight and neither should anyone else. Not trying to come across harsh here but this is one subject where the facts need to be stated very very clearly and where I will not compromise.

First 2 points are pretty valid but would obviously fall under potentially a bit more expensive to obtain vs difficulty in obtaining at all, though if I've misunderstood your sentiment I'll chalk that up to the internet. I've honestly not heard any mention anywhere of any ban or restriction of European stores selling anything airsoft related to UK customers though, so again I'd maintain the a concern over difficulty in purchase wouldn't really be worth too much worry (speaking generally here). I mean it's possible for some guy in Poland or wherever to suddenly get the made-up notion that they can't ship to the UK anymore, that is a possibility I'm quite open to that notion, but it seems an incredibly slim possibility. Especially given that European airsoft/gear shops probably get a ton of business from the UK so if there is no legal restriction preventing them conducting said business they're not going to shoot themselves in the foot. I'm saying this more for the sake of the lurkers btw (of which there are a great many) because brexit is obviously a mess in terms of how everyone in power has handled it and given the confusion level already existent I think the potential for inaccurate rumours to spring up is very high at the moment. That will probably only get worse in the next few weeks as well given the constant votes in parliament that are going on and the rapidly incoming leave date (maybe..). -

I mean there could be something I've missed, but I don't think European stores aren't suddenly going to be off limits. We might end up outside the customs union which is a potential reason to make some purchases prior to exit, but the Belgians probably aren't suddenly going to blockade the channel and setup a no-fly-zone to stop FedEx and TNT delivering. -

Not posting the desert night more clearly is offensive. -
Makes sense, at that site you defo want a brown-dominant camo to say the least (if it's all like the picture). At places like that where there's barely any greenery, I've seen the darker desert patterns work ridiculously well. Just plain coyote brown uniform/kit can be brilliant when the site is all just dead twigs and leaves on the ground with bare tree trunks.

Hey if you like it you like it, wish I did because it is BY FAR the closest place to my family home ha. Last time I went to the school (few years back as I say) when the large building was still open but all the others were OOB, they just crammed all of us in there, must've been easily 50+ but potentially a lot more. First game they even restricted it to a single floor. It was literally just queue up for 10-15 minutes on the one door where the 2 teams met, wait to run in and get shot, rinse and repeat. Biggest waste of money on a skirmish in my whole time in the game.
-
Is the derelict school totally out of play now? Not bothered with that site for many years, had my worst skirmish ever there back when the 3 storey building was still in use.

Definitely not to my personal tastes for a fair few different reasons haha. I feel like I also need to say the Stratton will never see the airsoft field, I have a comedy Flannel combat shirt for bb wars and potential cosplay type usage. That one's the HSP D3CR-M, but I've got a couple of Spiritus Micro Fights as well as my own scratch/custom built iteration of the concept. I like the Haley rig, but definitely look in to the alternatives from Spiritus, Ferro Concepts and Whiskey Two Four in particular to figure out what'll be best for you. -
What made you switch to the dark side (MC crye combats) in the end after running the multi tiger for so long? Just purely out of curiosity.

I don't see a lot of honest BTS stuff from the actual social media 'celebrities' that are out there. Usually it's 'gawd my life is so hard, just constant work *sips another margarita at 3 o/clock on a Wednesday afternoon*'.
