  2. I prefer a thin balaclava - it takes some of the sting away plus keeps the midges at bay.
  3. It's also a good idea to pack a hi viz vest in your bag to aid being spotted in emergencies. Plus it's useful to avoid getting twatted if you end up being out longer than expected, and have to trek along tight country roads in the dark.
  4. When I'm out in the countryside at this time of year I end up crawling with ticks if I don't give myself a spray down with tickspray. The last game I was at was deep in tick country and none of our group picked up a single one after we had a good spray down. Ingredients: 1 spray bottle, 2 parts water, 1 part vinegar, a squirt of tea tree oil. As an added bonus it keeps most of the flies and midges at bay (and leaves you smelling like a chippy on a Saturday night).

  7. Not quite the same thing, but I like to do some dry firing with an airsoft gun a few times a week as a warm up before circuits, or going for a run. If you want to turn it into a workout drop into prone and stand back up between rounds. Do it in a big room and add in some movement, or put a chair in for cover etc. Same with changing magazines, safety on and off between rounds etc. etc. Some fun light exercise. Since starting it I have noticed my reactions are far better, and I'm much better at getting the drop on another person during CQB than I used to be. There's plenty of videos on youtube:
  8. I can't recommend any footwear as I don't have the same problems as yourself. I did have plantar fasciitis for about a year and it was a really irritating thing to have. One thing I found that helped was rolling my feet on a lacrosse ball. I still do it as part of a stretching routine to help keep my feet in good shape.
  9. I've got a number of niggling old injuries that would keep me off playing airsoft if I didn't keep them under control through rehab exercises and stretching. The best thing I done was to book a private sports physio to look them over. I would recommend anyone else to do the same. It might not help, but depending on the injuries, it could make a life changing difference to your mobility. I'd second this if you're able to do it.
  10. Smersh. I find belt kit the most comfortable to move around in and it's quick to take on and off.
  11. I'm afraid I can't offer much advice here. I've never used a C-clamp and I normally only use a sling to carry a rifle on my back.
