Patience being the one that runs out quickest when something doesn’t go right.! The first wash on the Sherman went dreadful.! Was seconds from launching it into the garden!

I do a fair few kits each year, Mostly tanks and planes, but I have a citroen 2cv and a landrover series III LWB on the table atm. They tend to sit through summer and get picked up more in winter!

If you want a challenge have a look at Takom models. They do some really well detailed kits that are a good step up from the standard airfix kits.

This is a Takom T55 I did a few years ago.

 

 

Really nice work. I’ve eyed up something a bit more modern a few times over the last few weeks.!

Just finished a 1/32 scale Lancaster with over 1m wing span

 

 

 

good god, the Sherman took me about 3 weeks. I’ve looked at a 1/32 P-51 but a Lancaster would take me about 14 years.!!

Well, few years back I took on a promotion at work. Completely underestimated the stress it would incur and it was getting me down. Well, decided to take up a past time in order to wind down a bit and it really did help.! So, scale models. In particular WW2 armour for me. Here is a couple of photos of my recent build. An M4A3 Sherman.

Shock & Awe in north wales near Abergele. It’s been deforested now. Mega shame. Some damn good days there.!
