  1. It's an old KSC with an aftermarket nozzle.
  2. Customs is massively hit and miss. Nearly 6 months for an asahi mg34 to clear customs, asking for document after document, meanwhile a package of about 4 (airsoft) pistols didn't even get checked and weren't charged import fees.
  3. Below is a WIP Lancaster 577 howdah for cassieopia shells. Though it may end up as a blank firer.
  4. Scratch build Maynard rifle built from steel. Fires madbull shells. Real thing was a civil war breech loaded rifle used by the confederacy. Heat and oil blued.
  5. It's quite a good design for 1885. The idea was it was enclosed so nothing could foul up the mechanism, it was intended to stop both a charging soldier and protect from dangerous wild animals. They were all handmade and all seem a little different. Mine is based off a 455 calibre one as that one is closest to the 45 calibre Cassieopiea shells. The mechanism on the replica has been copied from the real one. There's a lot of finishing work left to be done with it.
  6. Work in progress Charles Lancaster 455. I think it's most famous outing in media was being on the cover of battlefield 1? For tanaka Cassieopiea shells.
  7. Gas None blowback And spring. Genuinely not being awkward but those are what I run most followed by gbb.
  8. They work better with the standard plastic slides, so yes. They don't really tend to go that shiny in all fairness.
  9. 173 dollars. I had one of these aks when they first came out, whoever decided to design the stock like that was being obtuse. There's literally no reason they couldn't have made the stock RS compatible.
  10. What're the issues with exporting rifs from China?
  11. I'm necroposting just to say putting 0.3s in a KTW Winchester will likely tear the hop rubber with the amount of adjustment needed. Keep them on 0.25s, if you tear the rubber there are no spares. Having had the volante and the original, just leave it original.
  12. The Spas isn't theirs, I messaged them and it's got nothing to do with them and they have no plans for one. Shame.
  13. I decided not to chop. I had got it listed in various places for about 150 quid with no interest.
  14. There's been some interesting stuff at the MOA pop up, especially in the GBB department. The thing I've already bought in my head was the Spas 12 that popped up inexplicably sitting next to golden eagles gas Shotgun range.
  15. I've got a Sun project m40a1. It's shooting just over 1 joule. It's built like an asahi or a shoe, ie like a cricket bat. There's no spares available, I don't play anywhere where there are "sniper" rules, and I've got fallout kit I want to use at a site in a mine. I've rebuilt the hop, and I feel it needs to be used. Unless someone's got serious objections or is desperate for spares, the work starts tomorrow. (Properly, with actual tools and a lathe) Unsure whether to go for the full cut down look, or build more of an actual rifle. Before picture.
  16. Does anyone have any experiences of this site? It will involve having to hotel it and spunk 80 quid on fuel, which I really don't care about if it's going to be a solid day.
  17. Tbf... I commuted through the lock downs (no furlough) on a combination of an old ducati, and older guzzi and even older laverda. All perfectly reliable. Moto Guzzi for the win BTW.
  18. Lancaster pistol, uses Cassieopiea shells. Wood just needs to be done and its ready but this shows the really unique trigger mech.
  19. I finished this Umarex Buntline yesterday, after being a little underwhelmed with a KTW Winchester and acquiring a stock cheaply. Turns out the stock is from a Colt SAA 2nd generation, what they put with the actual branded buntlines in 1957. Barrel made from aluminium with brass internally, and a tanaka ejector. Assembles and disassembles as it was designed. Shooting at 0.9 joules and hops 0.32s on a flat trajectory at 40m, the limit of my garden. Probably a realistic 55m but the bbs will be travelling pretty slowly by then. Hammer mod to make the hammer sit more flush with the frame. Bottom one is also hopped but for 0.25s.
  20. I'm not a fan of the guy at all, but the airgun thing is a little hyped. He was using a Wingun SAA that had originally been converted to airsoft, which requires 3 parts changing. Shells, barrel, forcing cone. The airsoft and the airgun SAAs, and indeed the same is true of the Dan wesson, chiappa and the schofields, are exactly the same in terms of parts and power. That's why they're not site legal unless you drop some power down shells in there. They all come off the same Wingun line. The guy that sold him his, fitted it with a homemade adjustable hop, power down shells and was site legal. I think he claimed it was provided by some airsoft site overseas which was a lie. The airguns outnumber the airsoft versions by about 10 to 1 it seems so more than you think get converted this way for people who play theme games.
