Using the word clone against the real one would be ok if all the clones were the same , made in the same place and made under the same QC , but they are not , you can buy 4 different clones under different names from 4 different places and they would all be different , buy the same clone under the same name 3months later at it’ll be different again . where as you can buy 4 genuine Magpul products from 4 different places and they would all the same . you might get a good clone out of the 4 or you might get 4 shit ones . IME the genuine CTR requires no shimming for an OEM TM tube unless you want it pretty much like a fixed stock .

Legal , technically I’d assume yes. questionable behavior yes . stupid thing to do in 2025 , yes. just run up and down your stairs a few times or round the garden in circles .

Recoil springs , gas router and high flow valve may help too .

a genuine and new Vortex crossfire red dot is around £160 with a complete no quibble lifetime warranty , or pick one up secondhand for £100 ish and still have the lifetime warranty .

Battery will need to go in the stock tube with whatever Magpul stock you decide on , unless you get creative and start modifying things . a standard MOE grip will not fit , due to the motor arrangement and fixing points , you’d be better off with an AEG specific PTS grip .

just picked one up myself , very happy with it , the lack of trades is a bit of a downer ( I knew it wouldn’t have them ) but overall for the price it’s very good , I also have the DE Noveske , and Ghetto blaster and all three seem to offer an excellent value introduction into the MWS platform .
