That's a bit of an unfair statement.

Is it because we won 😂

Not really, Bravo were not taking their hits.

Several times I and the others in the group we formed launched an attack on places where Bravo had hidden in bushes and they didn't take their hits despite seeing the BB's bouncing of them and they retreated, this was near the trenches.

Players from their time out respawning were not following the rules, they would sit for a minute and then off out again.

Many players were not indicating if they were hit or in play and as soon as you went to shoot they would put their hands up but then jump into the bishes.

There is winning with honourable play and there is winning by cheating... Big difference.

We play a game that involves getting shot at so complaining about getting shot just makes you look like an idiot. You're an adult so if you choose not to wear full face protection that's your problem.

It makes a change from the usual HPA users are all cheaters bullshit

I am not complaining about being shot at, I am complaining at dirty play. Dirty as in you don't just hit the target but you keep on firing and don't take hits and take shots intentionally to hurt like in the groin and eye shots specifically aimed at the eyepro as well as that other shitty move of shooting hands.

There is a rule of etiquette in the game, even if its not written down, there are something you don't engage in and if you do then you are the problem with the game.

As for HPA, there were not that many HPA at the event.

You're not wrong there, some butt heads near to me were firing off BB's in the camping area.

I have asked ZO in the past to have all campers to have a tent tag to identify those that are morons that live among us.

That's mostly because the G&G ETUs have problems that the Perun fixes. In most cases, a Perun doesn't really increase your efficiency by any quantifiable amount, and can actually be less efficient in some cases, since the unit "eats" some of your energy. This is a very low draw that only becomes noticeable in very high speed builds, but it's enough to matter.

I would suggest doing something very cheap, DIY, and simple. You could literally just put a screw into the body so the selector can't physically be turned to auto. Or glue something on in place of a screw. Any number of items work here, while being infinitely cheaper and easier than installing a Perun.

Great idea, however I don't want to ruin the case because at some point I will likely want to sell the thing, even if its for £25 after a year of use, and selling something with a screw sticking out the case doesn't look good. I will look at possibly an internal mod based off your suggestion.

It got me wondering if all it needs is a solder job to stop full auto and wire up single shot only option...

This is part of the reason why I don't go to big chains/branches. My local opticians has 2 stores and that's it. They've always been fantastic and i've never felt ripped off even when buying designer frames but this could be because my prescription is very weak.

Originally the only opticians in Nottingham that had the suppliers and facilities to make my sons prescription were Lancaster & Thorpe, they sold out to Vision Express after around 6 years which meant that VE were the only opticians with the facilities, luckily some 10 years later, other opticians have the facilities to manufacture the lenses.

L & T were a small regional opticians which were very customer satisfaction oriented, unfortunately they shut up shop and sold out to VE... VE are very profit oriented.

Conversely, I've seen Specsavers damage folks' eyes by saying they could sleep in contact lenses that weren't suitable for continuous wear -- and that while Vision Express may be pricier in some cases, the customer service is a lot better.

Depends then "the past" is, but on the basis of NHS eye tests generally being every 2 years, everything is quite a bit more expensive now. 😞

The issue with NHS vouchers is they basically cover standard lenses and the eye test, nothing more -- so while opticians will have a selection of "free" frames with the voucher, or ones that are x amount cheaper with it, it's not always a massive saving -- as they obviously can't claim it all back.

My son goes to hospital because he is visually impaired. He had his natural lenses removed at 3 weeks old so that he could have some vision because he had congenital cataracts. So he was medically disabled to give him some sight with glasses but without glasses he is blind, had he not had the operation he would be blind.

I could understand the justification had my lad just got bad eyesight and still had his own lenses but to hold a person to ransom who would be blind without eye correction through glasses is utterly disgusting.

His vouchers from the hospital cover £220 of the cost and Vision Express wanted £385 on top of that, os they were trying to say that his glasses were £605 a pair.

It felt like when you take your car to be repaired and the garage don't want the work and they price the job like £600 for a £200 job.

The Specna Flex shares the same gearbox as the CORE line - which in turn is a very generic bog standard V2 gearbox.

Perun have their own instruction video to cover it.

Bear in mind you might end up paying a tech more than the gun's worth to have the work done (ETU + hourly tech charge).

If you are desperate for and ETU-equipped gun, and cannot do the work yourself, you might be better off selling the Flex and buying a gun with an ETU equipped out of the box - like a Double Eagle M9xx series.

    Thanks for that.

I bought a cheap rifle for guests that come with me and my lad to use as I was getting fed up of the G&G's getting dinged up. I would like an aftermarket ETU in there that ensures that its single shot only as most sites operate single shot only because these rifles (any make really) can easily end up on full auto during game play plus the PERUN's are very energy efficient and in the G&G's we went from two batteries per session to one battery per session.

  8. Of all the robbing so-n-so's today they wanted £385 for a pair of glasses that my sons NHS voucher in the past has completely covered the cost of lenses and frames.

After shopping around, exactly the same style frames and size of lenses in Specsavers, total bill £69.50

I know where I am going when its time for my next eye test.

    YouTube!

Yes, however, you see the thumbnail, the tag line, then the intro, then they waffle about the piece and what they are going to fit, shoe the ETU and then next shot the whole thing is stripped down with no "How to" get into the rifle without doing damage or having the gearbox fly apart.

Then the rverse, the ETU is magically installed and then the gearbox is rebuilt like magic and then the unit is back together with a demo of it in action...

When I specifically search for "Fit ETU to SA-F01" this is what I get, reviews of specific videos on the bigger brother the F02 and F03...

I'm thinking more along the lines of handing it over to a gun tech I know to fit the item.

Finally we get to the bottom of all this, your issue isn't HPA ... it's that some people are dicks.

Got some bad news for you, there are dicks everywhere, some of them even use AEGs and not all of them drive BMW's and Audi's either.

Can we get back to talking about people having fun now?

I didn't start it, I posted up what happened and I was then met with scorn and hate from that section of the community that can't see the bigger picture. Yeah I know there are dicks everywhere, what I do is educate them and they do change however, seems that HPA players don't and this is why the problem persists. An AEG player trying to educate a HPA player gets met with a "Talk to the hand" scenario and you're seen as playing with boys toys not mens toys. So its also an attitude thing from a lot of the HPA community.

Personally I have no interest in HPA or going there, mainly because it screws up being able to swap handedness in game as I am an ambidextrous player and shoot just as well lefty as I do righty. I have been teaching my son to play both handed and it is an advantage when you have players that use HPA who are stuck righty game play.

This about sums up this guy.

Just a stream of repeated bollocks.

Finally putting him on ignore, because he keeps trying to turn this thread into his personal gripe thread, despite having created threads specifically for the topic.

I'd rather read about game days that people can write about objectively.

At the site you play at.

Everyone keeps telling you to play elsewhere.

In your opinion and your attitude says a lot about you as a person, I brought to light an incident on my game day and you started with others stomping all over that experience without regard for the fact it happened. Sounds more like you and the other guys are more sore and salty about it than I am over the bringing to light an issue within your precious HPA community.

    Are you on blood thinners?

    Edit.

    Wrong person 👍

    No, just HPA hits.

For those suggesting I am in the wrong game, think again, I have been shot point blank in the back, arms, hands, face and got nothing like what I get off HPA, my own son tri shot shotgun point blank in the neck (a springer) nothing but red marks.

HPA from 20 or 30 meters, I get nasty welts, broken skin, bruising and have had broken fingers.

The last game I went to and got those injuries at, the 4 kids playing who were guests of a member at a members only day were complaining about how some of the shots were really hurting compared to others that just stung.

Its not just me, its other players that complain.

The issue is that there is a core of HPA players that don't like taking their hits, pad themselves up as well but don't mind dishing out the pain, so any suggestion that I am in the wrong game, think again, its the HPA players that insist on ruining hot rigs, the funny thing is the other HPA players at the same game, their hots didn't hurt half as much as those guys that were running hot guns...

They literally say individual sites may have lower limits -- the only way to make this "simpler" website-wise would be to have all sites' individual limits listed, but that could be information overload for some folks.

Saying that covers people who turn up thinking .48 is fine everywhere, then cry when they can't CQB with it. It's already simple.

The legal maximum is 1.3 Joules with an AEG, AEP, CO2, HPA rig, that means 373fps on 0.2g and all sites I have been to limit their site speed limits to 350fps max or 1.1 Joules.  That means on a 0.25g bb the fps limit is 335fps on 1.3 Joules but given that the weight is higher, that most sites operate a 1.1 Joule~ish limit, brings that down to around 303fps.

The difference being that HPA carries power better, I have never had broken skin, bruises from or bleeding from an AEG even at point blank range, however, with HPA I have had wounds that bleed, bruise and equipment broken and broken fingers from HPA as well as having my eye protection broken.

It seems that HPA players can't accept the facts. People saying I am posting rubbish again are talking out their rears too.

Unless the responsible HPA players get a grip of the problem players and point out that they are a problem in the game, it won't be long before government legislates for and imposes limits on HPA or bans it. What would you prefer? Lowering your Joule power or have some pencil neck in whitehall ban your equipment and you have to start all over again?

Just like you're incapable of accepting the fact you're posting bullshit again. I've had similar looking bruises to that from AEG and GBB guns.

    Please cite your sources

As others have posted, if you're going to get all pissy over getting shot in a game which involves shooting each other then maybe you need to get another hobby

    But you just did

What... from 30 meters? I seriously doubt that.

    Perun Hybrid.

If you want cheaper - you will probably be looking at a T238 off AliExpress - but reliability is somewhat questionable on those (depending on the model version).

Gate Aster is a similar-priced option to the Perun, but IIRC needs an additional sticker in the gearbox shell for the trigger to work.

    You mean this? https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/perun-mosfet-v2-hybrid-front-wired?gclid=CjwKCAjwh8mlBhB_EiwAsztdBFfvw5SY6nRtzEr7-_OESX235AuxRwZ9XKZiu4rLUaVYw2Dh0D3T8BoCmWUQAvD_BwE

Which looks like a chore to install, I have Perun ETU++ on the G&G's which were very simple to replace the existing mosfet boards.

Definately up for a couple of beers lads

Im gonna have a thirst after our journey down that might last a couple of hours!! 👍

I’ve been kinda saving for the event to allow me a couple of purchases, fingers crossed there’s something that takes my fancy, I seem to be getting a bit picky in my older years 🤭

If its something you want from Zero One shop, you have to be quick because things sell out fast, if you want something like a sight then buy it online and save you the carrier fee by selecting collection from NAF site.

Double check you have your cash with you because I wanted a couple of things and in the 30 minutes it took me to get back to my tent and back to the shop, they had sold out.

Don't forget to go to the raffle as you are entered under your player number and they have sponsored giveaways of a few small things and a some high value prizes like RIF's.

If you can't find something then you are either blind or your wife has welded your wallet shut without you knowing 😂😂

Friday evening is Shotguns and pistols and runs until midnight.

As for the beer tent entertainment, Deezul will crucify your favorite tunes...

  16. I just bought a cheap Specna Arms SA-F01 for when we have a guest with us and as a backup for when one of our G&G GC16's is in for repair.

Need a programmable ETU like the Perun ETU++ so I can set the rifle up as single shot only so it prevents full auto on semi only game sites.

    Any suggestions?

You're really going to spend money on the absurdly priced stuff there? No offence dude, but you're a bit dim.

So anyway, we can compare purchases!

Things are not priced at stupid prices at NAF, last year BB's £6 a bag when in your local shop they would have been £10.

I bought two WarQ helmets, normal price £199 each, on offer at £35 off full price as I bought two and was cheek enough to ask if they would discount anymore if I bought two, gor another £35 off, so I saved £105.

If you know what you want and you want to take a risk, you can buy others second hand kit, my son wanted a scope and got a scope he wanted for £49 which normally retails for £110.

There are plenty of other traders there with all sorts of kit and you can buy a bargain if you know what you want and are prepared to take a risk.

Wait, so you're telling us you DON'T like HPA?

    I am shocked.

I've never had bruises or broken skin from AEGs, EVER.

Are you expecting more sympathy back in this thread than the one you started in the off topic sub, then abandoned when nobody agreed with you again.

No body agreed because they are incapable of accepting a truth or a fact. HPA is too much for CQB.

I have never had broken skin from AEG's but HPA, every game where there are a group of HPA players who trigger spam, I find myself peppered with wounds that bleed.

As for HPA not being liked, there will be changes coming to the sport because lots of places have had enough of HPA idiots, I grant you that there are some players that respect the rules and have kit properly set up, like the guy who was next to me in the safe zone this week, we went halves on tracers because I forgot mine, his rig doesn't leave any wounds like what I get from other nob HPA players.

This is another one on the same arm. Again from an HPA player.

One thing I noted is that those particular players were all wearing padded kit, so they didn't mind dishing out the pain but didn't fancy taking hits themselves.

Without looking at the car myself and checking components/listening for abnormal noises etc...   it could just need a regas, especially if it hasn't been done in a while.

There is a chance that there may be a leak though. If you have a UV torch (and UV resistant glasses for safety)  shine the torch around the compressor, pipes and condenser (small radiator for the AC) If there is a leak it will glow under UV light.

Failing that, book it in to any garage that offers an AC regas service and ask them to regas the system.  Part of the checks they have to do is a quick UV light check, then put the system under vacuum and check that it holds.  Average cost of a regas should be about £50-75 depending on the garage and should fix the issue most of the time

I got the car booked in for the MOT thats due in a couple of weeks and said to the guy, if the car passes MOT then it needs to be looked at and a Regas is cheapest option as paying someone to poke and prod the system and scratching their nuts for 2 hours is going to cost more than a two regases.

He said that AC needs a minimum of 100g of gas to work properly, so its been 6 years and could be as simple as a schrader valve has failed causing gas to leak out, having watched several channels on youtube on vehicle repairs, AC is a popular item and if there is a leak, its very likely from there.

Going to ask them to put the dye in and see what happens...

  20. Played sunday, HPA boys were in and not taking their hits however, plenty of trigger spamming from them.

The one was bad mouthing me in the safe zone because they wouldn't accept that I had actually hit them and they denied I had, claimed I couldn't have turned around with my gun fast enough to shoot, the assumption he was making was I was playing right handed when I am in fact an ambidextrous player and was at the time left handed pointing the rifle in the direction of the door that he blind fired around to hit me.

You can't make this shit up, the bruise is one of several from one of the HPA players who was clearly over limit because no rifle / pistol aeg or hpa should be able to leave someone with a bruise like that.

I hear that Anzio have now made HPA limits lower than AEG, which I applaud, it levels the playing field, better sites do it than allowing government to legislate and limit HPA if it is to remain and hopefully these other sites that are going to follow suite will clear out the nobs who can't follow the rules.

The problem on some sites is that CQB as in actually playing CQB doesn't mix with the speedsoft bois.

So apart from an HPA nob and the further injuries from the group of lads that were onsite this week, it was a good game.

No because when I push the button for AC I can hear the engine labour from the clutch being engaged on the compressor.

The drop isn't as much as it normally would be so I am figuring that something is wrong with the compressor.
