Lol, so true. Amazing how many folk get their knickers in an insufferably apoplectic twist because the pattern isn't bang on, or the PC doesn't sit right, or, gawd forbid, trousers tucked in to boots... I mean, good grief, its all just a bit of fun, chill the heck out. I dont do any social media for that reason. Life's too short and already too much going on without worrying what some prats posing/ bitching about on IG, or who's arguing on FB, or some bigoted Lefty clown preaching on Twatter, can't be bothered with any of it. There's a couple of forums I visit regularly and that's it. Used to do more but can't be bothered these days. For the OP I'd simply recommend look at pictures of what you want to achieve then shop around. It might not be absolutely bang on however it's just a bit of fun at the end of the day. Ah, that's it, right enough. The H is the 7.62 big boy with the squarer mag.

Eezer Goode's Sci Fi Armour Build Thread

Thanks for the vote of confidence @Tactical Pith Helmet, although it remains to be seen if it all doesn't fall apart on its first skirmish or is a nightmare to run about in... time will tell. @Shamal I don't even know my own strength at times... pure space marine beefcake. Oo-rah! For the eagle-eyed among you, you'll notice the shoulders are a bit squint. That was a snafu that only got picked up after I'd glued it all together. D'oh! The glue seams are very visible but it'll all be painted over anyway. Still, that black and OD look doesn't look half bad. Choices choices... -
Forgive my stupidity but do SCAR-Ls not use STANAG mags anyway? So no need for an adaptor. Cool gnu.

Eezer Goode's Sci Fi Armour Build Thread

Happy New Year everyone. Hope the hangovers etc are mostly healed now. Almost done with the armour, finished the shin guards and added neck protection. Purchased a couple of Viper pouches for mags. Considering some added detail on the back and trying to think of something to cover hips/bum/bits as its all looking a bit exposed so far. Decided to do a mockup to see what it all looked like... hmm interesting, kind of a psychotic mishmash of Master Chief, Doomguy, Armored Core and the Inquisitor from Red Dwarf... Eezer G -
Fair dos. Quite like the look of them myself. Not aware of an adaptor but might be worth a search around the net.

Jings that's a veritable parts feast that. Did you get anywhere with reassembling the gearbox or improving the fps yet Rostok? -
Seen the same issue on my LT M4. A bit of reassembly did the trick.
-
Ah, the FAMAS, perfect for storming an Alaskan island hiding terrorists and a bipedal mech. Only thing I'd caution is that the FAMAS doesn't take M4 mags. If M4-magged bullpups are what you're after, L85, F2000, UAR and Tavor among others all use STANAG. UAR is budget and gets looked down on a lot but I'm a big fan. Light, plenty rail space, very egonomic, looks sci fi, shoots rather well, internally an AK. Or as I summed up on another thread earlier, a Lada in a Pelican Dropship's clothing 😄
-
If the range is a bit meh and there's a deviation in fps, sounds like a leak. I'd send it back to them and get them to check and fix. Seals will probably sort it.
-
40-50m? I'll be amazed if you can get any kind of reasonable accuracy at that range... Be aware your velocity will drop with heavier pellets. 310 on .2s seems average and I wouldn't worry about that. When you day the gun is "struggling" what do you mean, is the cycling laboured, crap range, not shooting straight...? Out of interest what battery are you using?

My Mrs likes Aliens but can't stand the other Alien movies, too scary. -
CYMA CM028U (AK Tactical)

No judgement here, airsoft RIFs are like guitars, motorbikes or screwdrivers, you can never have too many... I'm honestly pretty nonplussed by metal bodies. Yes, it's more realistic, but I'm not looking for realism. For me, practicality is key, and plastic is lighter and cheaper so it wins the day. Just my preference. My UAR is essentially internally an AK wrapped up in a 25th century casing... or as I like to think of it, it's a Lada underneath a Pelican Dropship. I just fancy an AK as it's something a bit different/foreign to appeal to my inner Commie, and a massive capacity magazine. Plus I've tried a CYMA AK and they are excellent shooters. Also on the want list are an XR5 and a Deagle of some sort however waiting on UKARA coning through plus depends on whatevers in stock so no rush... -

Remember, short, controlled bursts... Aliens remains my all time favourite film. And the Pulse Rifle one of the coolest ever gnus, along with the MA5 and Morita. -
Old engineering bodge... stick a nail in 😂

I actually like plastic bodies, less weight y'see. -
Pfft... M4, Electric, 250-300 quid... take your pick at the myriad of offerings out there. Just a suggestion, but if you fancy something a bit different, there's some other designs that use M4 mags. Tavor, SA80, F2000, etc.
-
Well if you really need cash, either a) sell your most expensive one, or b) ger rid of the one(s) that get the least use. If the LMGs just an M4, maybe get rid of that.
-
Anyone have/had/tried one of these? I know CYMA AKs are usually decent however don't see many of these around. Sort of fancy one however not sure. Eezer G

What a load of keech! If you're going to ask an unreasonable, nay completely bonkers price for a RIF at least make sure it's not butchered. -

Some sort of Jack Pyke fishing/hunting camo would work well there IMO. Good shout on the brown paint too. Last game I played there was snow everywhere and bloody freezing cold. Made me wish I had a big fluffy hat and an AK47... -

Belated Merry Christmas everyone. Hope Santa brought you all lots of nice airsoft toys. Unusually flush due to a long nightshift and lots of on call last month, bought a smorgasbord of useful stuff today via Amazon and PB. Mr. Bezos sending me glue gun sticks and plastikote so I can finish my Sci Fi Armour project, a couple of mag pouches and a garden hose as my now sorted motorbike is badly needing washed... meanwhile, a minor spending spree at PB netted a couple of hi caps, scope rings (for a 4x40 Simmons I'm acquiring in the new year) and a 200mm dummy suppressor to make my squat UAR look a bit leaner and meaner. Or something.
