It could never be moderated well enough for it to work and there would always be disputes. When there's a chance of winning something cheating would be a regular occurrence.

indeed, the closest you can realistically get is the Ai 5-man that airsoft international do each year. There's a prize but the OPFOR are on-staff and don't play to 'win'... I expect the marshalling for that event is extreme as well considering the prizes.

Airsoft simply isn't a competition sport, it's a hobby/participation sport.
