  1. The Elcan I got came with my M4, apparently it's a Red Dragon; it's quite nice, not perfect, but it'll do for airsoft. I'm loving the L85 so far, it's the nicest gun I've ever had, just need to fix the double feeding and sort a few design flaws ICS left in (stuff like their hop-arm and the fact the outer barrel is not held in by much when there's two perfect screws in the receiver which just need to be 4mm longer to act as holding pins), I also need to build my tracer unit for it I got a bunch of STAR/ARES midcaps in the end to tide me over till I can afford the mags I want
  2. Cheapest rubber knife on the internet for the win. And yes, yes it is. I dislike both the SUSAT and the ACOG, whereas the ELCAN is a beauty and I've wanted one for years...It took a little getting used to, but now I think it looks right at home.
  3. Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time ever, pictures of Finius on AFUK! Shinies (pictures to sane persons) first, then explanations. Finally just about completed my field-loadout, this is how it's looking so far: Here's the chest rig laid out for a better view of pouches: My "kitdown" setup for milsim and general skirmishes; Finally, everything I carry in-game laid out for your viewing pleasure (not including my boots and my underwear, more stuff to come): Here's the full list of what's included; all of this is either worn, used or carried during a game. -ICS L85 -ELCAN sight -SA80 Sling -Five mini batteries -Three large female to small male adapters -Comprehensive toolkit (one of the blue bags) -Full set of internal components (the other blue bag, barrel not included) -Eight 85 rounds midcaps -One hicap -Speedloader -First Aid Kit -Three pairs of glasses; clear, black and yellow lenses (yellow are primary) -Grab-mat -Glow sticks for grab-mat loops (used when a safe-zone is outdoors and likely to be dark, so people don't run over my stuff etc) -Pyro (typically two smoke, one thermo) -1911 -Two 1911 mags -Pens, extra glow sticks for command panel -Map of site being played and compass -DPM shirt, trousers and smock -DPM boonie -Black leather belt and gloves -Rig: 8 internal mag shingles, rear pouch, command panel, folding dump, triple pyro, holster, pistol mag pouch, radio pouch, utility pouch -Union Jack patches here and there, carabiners etc -Rubber knife Soon to be added: -Rescue Knife -Water Bladder -Commanders Model Kit -Various pouches etc -Radio and bowman headset -Milsim and survival/outdoors gear, backpack for the same -Cam cream -Olive knee pads and knew gloves What do we think AFUK? Also, ignore my complexion and facial expression, it's about fourty odd degrees in my house or something crazy like that. My Dad's got the fire on full whack in the middle of August. Good show Dad, well impressed. RAF patches and insignia are going to be removed from the BDU tomorrow also.
  4. I don't think he does...Mighty impressive tats those I want something tiger related at some point
  5. I was SURE I'd made this thread already, I possibly have, I'm just very sleepy. Airsofters, I've noticed, often have tattoos, one or more. I've only got one: Pictured the day I had it done, at an angle that makes my leg look well fat (It's all muscle). It's a poem that my sister wrote a short while before she had a fatal accident on the road (long time ago, when I was a kid). It's a dedication to her memory and also in a way a bit of a thank you. Her not being here, I feel, has helped craft me into the person I am today, and for that I'm eternally grateful. I'm looking at having several more, I just feel mixed on it. They need to have meaning so as not to devalue my first tattoo, but then the designs I have so far aren't quite as viable meaning-wise as the one pictured above. Anyways! Let's see what you've got folks For forums' sake, Spoiler tag them if they're not PG13 friendly etc in design or location
  6. Try USMC Pro Solutions for Multicam, they have full BDUs in multicam, certified as genuine pattern by Crye Precision for £69.99 plus £4.50 shipping. They've also got boonies and webbing etc by the same people at reasonable prices. Their website is crap so maybe try getting their catalogue.
  7. More airsoft kit today. Ordered a ton more stuff too. Command panels are ACE.
  8. I'll have a think about it, but I'm partway considering keeping it for myself, it's a nice stock
  9. Probably the G&G or any of the RS manufacturer ones
  10. The 1911 is a beaut, the grips make it, they're too nice to skirmish with though, so I often play with the plastic grips on... The M4's will change. I'm swapping their front irons, flashiders and pistol grips over, the RIS will stay pretty standardised, I don't think I'll keep it. The other one, will have RIS mounted top and bottom of the handguard, a magpul bad lever and folding trigger guard, KA big charging handle, folding iron sight on the rear (the triangle front site on the painted M4 actually folds down), ambi mag release and a tactical magwell. I'm also going to accessorise heavily. Several types of stock for different requirements, laser, torch, M203, bipod, vert grip, masterkey shotgun, not all designed to be used at once, but intended to give me the ultimate all-in-one setup. I also want Freedom Art glow rods in the sights, sling loops etc. Will be putting a tracer-hop in too. Also want an Aimpoint for that. The L85 didnt look right with the ELCAN at first, but it's grown on me purely cause the sight itself is so nice and much cheaper (not to mention rarer on an L85) than the SUSAT... EDIT: Cerbo, I want to try selling that M4 as a whole first, but if I split it up, you can have dibs
  11. It's a G&G, supplied by Cerbo, it doesn't slide too well, but I think the tube is actually intended for a different brand. The plastic is really good though
  12. Finally decided to get some real basic shots of my guns. First and foremost, my WE 1911, with wood grips supplied by Jeandup from here, will soon be modding it for full-auto machine pistol madness.. Pictures of it have been posted before in another thread, so here's just the one: Below is my HFC Springer Shotgun, based off a SPAS12, it's single shot, but a really light cocking mechanism, internal mag, 48 rounds, really good little backup, totally silent. Was originally two-tone, but Finius does not approve of such silliness, black paintjob is starting to wear off, so I'm going to add an enamel coat of silver, then an overcoat of black so it wears down to look like metal. This one down here is my newest acquisition, an M4A1 RIS, CA, built by a mate, sold to me because he changed his mind on it, it's fairly standard except since getting it yesterday, I've added a folding ironsight and an SPR pistol grip (both pictured). Those parts will be going over to my other M4 once I get a few more bits for the general build. This is my "other M4", it's a long-term project in motion and will feature only TWO very, very small magpul parts once it's complete. £500 estimate expenditure left to go on that. Finally, my absolute baby; ICS L85A2, with ELCAN and DMR tuning. Excellent range and accuracy, decent ROF, ELCAN suits it down to the ground. Presently developing a tracer unit for it, as well as some other little bits and pieces.
  13. What brand is the Multicam? It looks a bit bright. Pictures of my loadout will be a loooooong time coming. Got a LOT of stuff to buy.
  14. My grab mat and new airsoft glasses arrived today.
  15. My pouches didn't arrive today, and the skirmish I went to yesterday was a bit naff.
  16. Taking my mum to see Mr Poppers Penguins tomorrow. Happy about that. Also made a significant airsoft order today: -Molle Pouches to complete my rig for now (including a really awesome command panel) -Star/ARES plastic 85rd mags, hope they'll fit my L85, but if not, they'll fit my M4 -New eye protection -Gloves and knee pads -Boonie
  17. It's the lowest of the low in terms of work, it really is, fortunately I'm a student so it's only the summers. I stick with it because it reminds me what education is about for me, it gets me fit, I can earn a few thou every summer and employers like the idea of someone who can do the worst jobs in the country well, it shows character. But trust me, I'd rather do myself over than get stuck there. The worst bit is, I don't need to care about the work, it's guaranteed, they need me too much to fire me, so I could easily doss about all day, I'm not looking for company advancement and it's not like it's a permanent commitment, but my work ethic still beats out most of the full timers. It's frankly quite pathetic of them.
  18. I'm angry because Dev isnt angry. I'm also angry because the lad at work with me at the moment might as well be in a persistive vegitative state, and if he doesn't start working for his money and stop gobbing off thinking he's hard, I'll put his front teeth through the back of his throat (I've found that due to my size, most people don't like the idea of my getting physical with them, it usually makes them more co-operative, and this lad needs it). Today, this lad comes in late. We go to start checking the birds for the morning at 7:30, but we need to cut the security tags off the sheds. He goes to get a penknife, and runs back to me with the blade out, jogging with it pressed against his stomach. I tell him off because he's presenting a hazard to himself and to me. He throws a fit and storms off. Does nothing till break at 9:00. At 9:30 we ask him to burn some waste, this consists of around 25 small cardboard boxes. He takes them, burns most, but lets a ton of cardboard blow about the yard, which could get the farm fined by the EPA. He also throws the only lighter on the site into the fire to see if it explodes. We can now no longer guarantee proper heating via our gas heaters to the birds, as if ones goes off we wont have a safe option to light it. Also, my supervisor smokes like a chimney, that was his only lighter, by this time it's 11:00 , if he has to go all day fagless, things will die. The job should have been done by 10:00. At 11:00, we send him to muck out and feed up a shed, we're doing one shed each. This takes him till 12:00, it should take him till 11:30. When we check later, he hasn't actually mucked out, he's just added food on top of wet turkey crap, which goes stale and the birds wont touch, meaning it's wasted and the birds have no food they'll eat for approximately five hours. At 12:00, we have break. At 12:30, we go into the fourth shed to set it up, he whinges all the way through, then starts claiming I didn't actually do my particular task (spreading and flattening down sawdust) very well, whinges until my supervisor gives him the rake and the tamping pole and tells him that he can do it on his own, since the supervisor thinks its fine, but if this lad, who's been there one 26th of the time thinks he knows better, he can do the whole shed no problem. He is given this task at 1:00, and at worst, it should take till 3:00. We leave the shed at 2:00 to go do other important bits. 3:45, Supervisor finds a lighter in the bottom of an ancient bucket of tools, it's good enough, he calms down, stops throwing things at other things. At 4:00, he stops working, tells us it's been finished, he lied, he did nothing once we'd left. He then goes to shower before clocking out, this shower takes fourty minutes apparently. He's not actually allowed to shower out on company time, we're only allowed to shower in. During the day, we also noticed that he was spitting in sheds, wearing his yard-boots inside sheds (we have to change our shoes for shed-specific boots whenever we go in a shed, for biosecurity). He also had a go at me for swearing, despite the fact that actually, I'm very clean mouthed compared to my supervisor (all the farm staff swear nonstop). The supervisor told him he was a pathetic little girl who should learn to deal with the stress of being on her period. This made him grumpy and instead of even talking, he just spent every minute after this grunting. He had a go at me for calling his name loudly when I needed him to turn off a leaking gas line early in the morning, because I disturbed his song on his iPod. We're not allowed iPods onsite, the sounds of the birds are very important to telling if they're well or not. Here's the biter though. The lad is the main boss' son. Like, the actual manager of all the sites. AND his sister, comes and does the same jobs, which involve getting elbow deep in buckets of turkey crap, and scraping it off trays with your hands, picking up dead birds and generally getting sweaty/dirty. He reckons he's some dead manly hardcase, but she puts him to shame, mostly because despite having only been with us 2 months, she's spot on, the only negative side to her is that she gets upset at herself because she takes a few minutes longer to do a few bits and pieces than my supervisor, who's been there 27 yearsish. His excuse for this, is that "girls are meant to work harder", which I think is utterly pathetic, sure, girls are our equals, but I mean, this is a rum job, it's gross and involves as much mankyness as there is in any job, it's a job done by rough losers who're covered in tattoos and settle everything by punching problem-objects or people, it's not a womens job. The lad goes to the gym to try body building, cause he wants to bulk up, but can't even do a proper days work. If he crosses me again tomorrow, I'm going to give him a lesson in Krav Maga. Not that I condone violence. Violence is naughty. Especially against living things.
  19. I'm talking short term...As in...Before October 1st Check my list lmao
  20. I can promise you I want more...I think I ought to resurect that old "shopping list" thread we had...
  21. Presently angry because I want too much airsoft kit.
  22. Glad I was missed And that I'm helpful!
  23. It sucks balls. Fortunately, just a summer job
  24. AB-negative Why wouldn't you be happy about having some ethnically diverse turkeys? You're not a poultry-racist are you? Seriously though, the bronze/black ones actually have character and are pretty cool, the white ones are just stupid and never actually get interesting. They're also more cannibalistic/enjoy humping their dead comrades more than the black ones...
