    Have you guys seen this? It's a petition to get .22LR handguns legalised in the UK for sporting purposes. I for one would love to get the chance to actually fire a real handgun, even if it is in a tiny lame cartridge. But baby steps first, maybe if this actually succeeds it could get the ball rolling for bigger things: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/

      Suit yourself, but there's nothing to stop someone doing that with a semi auto shotgun or .22LR rifle, which are both legal currently...

       

      Also gun crime hasn't actually changed since the handgun ban.

       

      But suit yourself.

      Gun crime is pretty low in the UK compared to other places around the globe that allow them, so yeah id rather the majority of fire arms remain unobtainable.
