    Propane

The madbull ones are bullet proof and work very well. Rothernberg propane or coleman propane will be fine, other brands mix in butane which lowers the pressure. MAP gas is much higher pressure so is good in winter but not so great in the summer.
  2. It will be fine with propane at any temperature that you are likely to encounter, if it gets really cold, you can use MAP gas instead.
  3. Qore ice plates, especially with the weather getting warmer 🥵
  4. Dry propane would be best, you can use the blue plumbers propane bottles with a madbull adapter.
  5. I used a spare tm psg1 scope on a WE M14 and pretty quickly it started to loose its zero after a few shots. So I would imagine it would break pretty quickly on a VFC psg1
  6. There are all in one hose assemblies that are all in one, but mine leaked at one of the joints after 2 years, so I decided to go with my current set up. There are also single piece fittings that are all in one, however They dont have an isolation valve which means you have to use the valve on the bottle which is quite difficult when its upside down! Additionally the single piece fitting is very short, so the coleman bottles clash with some of the calor bottles. In short, the two pieces i linked are the easiest to use. Depending on how old your coleman/plumbers bottle may have a ome way valve fitted, this is easily resolved by using a schrader valve tool and a 4mm drill bit as shown below. https://youtu.be/JIzjIYivr_M?si=T7u7vNT-Rd22UZ_R
  7. The amazon one screws into the red calor bottle, the ebay one then screws onto that and the 1lb plumbers bottle then screws on.
  8. Is there any damage to the front of the nozzle? Sometimes the square bit at the front of the bolt bends upwards which causes jams. You can gently heat it and bend it back down if this has happened.
  9. pretty sure they will be fine with a tonne of plastic bb hits...

TM MK23 with an unknown brand silencer and an STTI mag. Trigger sometimes sticks when firing, could probably do with a strip down and service. Currently doing the equivalent of 300FPS on 0.4g bbs.

  12. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Propane-Adapter-1Lb-to-20Lb-QCC1-Propane-Refill-Elbow-Adapter-with-Gauge-a-E3M3-/125961280676?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p4429486.m46890.l6249&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09H6ZGD1S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This is what I use, the second one is a thread adaptor from the old style propane connection to the new type. For filling gas mags from the 1lb bottle get a geniune madbull adapter, they are increadibly reliable and last a long time.
  13. You can buy adaptors with a ball valve on ebay quite cheaply, I just leave mine permanently attached and the gas bottle inverted on a work bench.
  14. I use a heavy recoil buffer and spring in my m4a1 and spr mod 0 during the summer with propane and have never had an issue with cracking.
  15. Is the adapter properly screwed on when your using the blue propane? Is there any MAPP gas left in the mag before you try to fill it with propane?
  16. They most likely add it because it sounds like it should be a good idea, which doesnt neccessarily mean it is. Speaking from experience of using dry propane, I very rarely get a leak, my MWS mags for example have never leaked in the past 3 years that I have owned them. Occassionally when a mag develops a leak which is a very rare occurance, I strip the mag down, apply a small amount of silicone grease tp the seals, heat them lightly with a heat gun and reassemble the mag. I would not advocate the use of maintenance gas inbetween games, its a total waste of money and you are more likely to do damage venting the gas each time you change over. (Freezing rubber is never a good idea) As for the adaptor, always go with a genuine madbull one, they are available on ebay and work flawlessly. The cheap clones are pretty hit and miss.
  17. You shouldnt be putting oil in, I've run dry propane for the past 11 years or so and refilled my tanks from a calor tank. It has saved me a fortune and makes the gun more consistent. It doesnt break your mag seals, and just requires you to apply a small amount of silicone to the piston cup in the blowback unit every now and then when you are cleaning it. MAPP gas should be used in the winter when its alot colder, my MWS kicks like a mule on it, even in the coldest of weather. You can also refill the MAPP gas cylinders with propane once they are empty.
  18. Propane will not kill your seals, just keep the mags filled and they will be fine. And don't put silicone oil into the adapter, it isnt neccessary and will just get lubricant on your hop rubber. The madbull adapter works with 1lb propane tanks like coleman, vortex and rothernberg.
  19. Ive never run out since a 1lb bottle of propane holds around double the amount of gas in comparison to a green gas can, i can happily run both mine and my son's MWS for a full game day on one can. Ive only ever had one coleman bottle which is still going 10 years on with no leaks, if it does start to leak I can just keep using the empty MAPP bottles that i have for filling with propane. So far I have refilled the coleman tank 3 times in the past 10 years, with the first 3 fills being 6kg tanks which where cheaper to fill and lighter. Filling them is no faff at all, my coleman tank sits on a worktop in my garage with the hose all set up. All I need to do is connect the bottle and switch the valve on, which I do each time I am maintaining guns or working in the garage. If you are planning on using gas guns long term, it is well worth using, plus you don't soak your hop rubber in silicone from the green gas.
  20. So if you buy a 15kg propane tank, it will cost £110, madbull adapter will be £35, propane refill hose will be £30 and a 400g tank will be around £6, you will also need to buy a schrader valve key to remove the one way valve with a drill. So total cost £180 which will give you 15.4kg of propane, with refills from this point onwards costing £65. For the airsoft equivalent, a 530ml bottle of ultraair gas costs £9 roughly, with 1ml of propane being roughlt 0.6g, so for 15.4kg you would need around 48 bottles of green gas costing £432. I would consider that quite a saving! Plus from that point onwards your running cost goes down since you are just spending £65 per refill, Ive been doing it for years and have saved a fortune with my gas guns.
  21. My madbull adapter works perfectly with green gas modded mws mags, and takes wither propane or MAPP gas.
  22. Mine has worked fine, is yours a genuine madbull one with the black text on the top of the silver bit or a copy with no black text on it?
  23. Nope, airsoft guns are not exempt from this. Also, you could injure someone as you cant see where the bbs are landing.
  24. Revision sawflys are great with an insert, and are very cheap on ebay due to them being surplus. The insert also works in their goggles too.
  25. Technically it isnt fixed hop, even though they do advertise it as fixed. If you push the metal hop arm towards the front of the gun, it increases hop, push to the rear and it decreases it. You can also bend it to increase hop. Mine us currently easily overhopping 0.3g bbs with the hop set to around 70% of its travel.
