  1. I've also seen entire teams/groups/friends leave and be refunded because one person was over the limit. If it's within the range then okay, but then you get "it's only 15 fps over/it's only 5 over the top line /it's my new hop/ it's a new spring it'll bed in after the first game " and there's pressure to let one slide, "we drove xx miles/ heard great things about the site" It's hard to remain neutral all the time, as you know you're getting slated on the forums/ FaceArse page. you put yourself in their shoes, try to accommodate. In southern Spain and Portugal, I've played a few sites and they don't have chrono, they just have an understanding that no one will be a dick. I played in Croatia and there was hard rules at 350fps, anybody who didn't make the limit was told to foxtrot oscar , no ifs or buts or coconuts
  2. Corporal Jones moment coming on here.... When I was running the Wargames Centre in Ayrshire ( now biohazard), as a CQB style indoor site we had a limit of 328fps (+/- 10) and always tested on .2s. As it got busier we had more issues just chopping and changing mags etc to chrono. We had guys turning up when hpa was becoming more common and we had issues with understanding locking settings etc. The same with guys having MK23s with the suppressor which took pistols over 380-400 fps. Theres also different gases that can ramp fps. As said before, if someone has a hard-on so bad to chrono at the site limit then quick change/regas/use magic then they are going to do so. I've had people who chrono over the fps saying they'll use heavier beebs, which doesn't help, as the energy is still there. We did give someone a ban for using a hot gun, and I definitely kicked players off site for aggressive behaviour. The trouble with infractions, some of them genuine mistakes, is that at the end of the day, everyone wants to play safely and honestly, there's always going to be a dick in there, and there's a fine line between punting players/getting a name for being an overly strict site and paying the rent and rates. As much as I/we voice support by playing honestly and by the rules, you get a different experience when you're having to use your own money to tide over the site as you build your legit player base. ( and that is just my experience, I am not in favour of anyone cheating/bending the rules)

Hello, Selling this KWA Glock 23, plastic frame and slide. Marked up .40 with NSN on reverse. One leak free mag, semi/auto works fine, small crack as shown under the fire selector, has no effect on function. May be worth a strip and superglue. I got this in a package deal from a trusted member on here as I wanted a G19, so this will not get used. I've stripped it as far as I can for cleaning and servicing, couldn't get the blowback unit out. May have been previously glued in or it's just really jammed in or it's my fail, but all seals and o rings have had a lube and it's popping away like a pro. No issues. Cosmetically it's a bit worn from loving use, as detailed in the pictures. Please don't be offended when I ask for a defence, "I'll be your best mate doesn't count " Price includes postage, will be RM or EVRI,

  7. I used to love watching guys rock up and start unloading dummy LAW rockets, scissors, pouches full of bandages, dummy clansman packs, and stuff that looks great but doesn't provide a functional use in game, unless it goes mega tits up and you need bandages . It's all adding weight and profile. As said above, airsoft if is much more about the look than things like paintball and everyone has their own preference/opinions on what cool is. I support both those who rock up geared up and those who do the jeans and a hoodie, as long as everyone plays fair. I remember the phrase "all the gear but no idea" which made me laugh again. But I've also fallen foul of judging a book by its cover. Long story short, if it works for you, crack on
  8. Hi, I got it from the Chinese wonder market that is Temu. They have some great bargain stuff like the patch I got but they also have a load of crap, you get what you pay for.

Hello, Got this spare upper in a deal from a trusted member on here. I believe it to be WE, it fits my WE SCAR L lower. It has FN trades and is in pretty good nick. The upper has a screw missing on each LH/RH rail. There has been a hole filled and chamfered in the lower rail previously. The Allen key tool from the front sight is gone, and there was a whole host of small parts as seen in pics with the trigger block. Bearings for selectors are there too. I toyed with the idea of completing a second upper but I don't play often enough to warrant it, rather it went to someone who could use it. Weighs 1.6 kilo unwrapped Not sure on value, but would rather it got used. Swaps wise, whu?

  12. I like a wee garage pop when time allows. I get a robust cardboard box from the local supermarket and hang a bean tin lid from an old bit of wire. Can sometimes be a pain to maintain it "face on" if you use string but cheap and effective
  13. Backing up what Enid said, heat works, a heat gun on low or even a hair dryer, held near it for a few minutes will allow it to expand to "crack" the join. Just remember to direct it away from any plastic/rubber parts, and that it will stay hot for a few minutes. I always forget that taking those wee party sausage rolls out, it's instinct to try one at 220degrees. 🤬
  14. SCAR H, I’ve had an AEG H and L and now have a WE GBB SCAR L, really adaptable, and as mentioned cool as feck…
  15. G and G m4, in various guises, about to change again, simple because I was watching Sicario over the Christmas break….🤦🏻‍♂️
  16. I was the same for a while, marshalling paintball and airsoft meant I saw some excellent scenarios, but I realised I don’t mind getting pinged, it was fine as long as everyone in the stramash was playing fair. Ive adapted the same now when I get a chance to play, I don’t shit the bed if I get hit straight off the bat, nor do I get a stiffy if I get a run on the opposite team during play. Marshalling/watching/standing back allows you to see how a game flows, if it works and ultimately how to hopefully win it, if you get involved 😉
  17. I am looking for a GBB HK53, we used them on the NI boarding teams when I was there 1998-2001, and they were a great fit, especially climbing a rope ladder, in the night up the side of a ferry that was cutting along at a rate of knots. Just felt more agile than the 5.56. Couldn’t tell you the designators , but range days/zeroing/proficiency days were great crack. misty eyes coming on…🥲
  18. Well it is Christmas, prime time for Only Fools and Horses….
  19. I’m too old and fat to run about with a cummerbund or mega hyper plate carrier. I’ve always found belt kit easier. @ButcherBill, I was also running an old 58 pattern webbing belt with repro fastmag holders for my main kit. I just augmented with a cheapo vest for ‘impact protection’. Served me well for ages. I still have a belt set up and a viper vest for game days, albeit with pouches, just had to get the old expansion Velcro bits added. Although I have seen some padded hip belts, interested to see if anyone is using them, my fear is an overly sweaty lower back/arse
  20. I watched that the other day. What a great movie. Such an underrated movie, even Sean Bean as a buffoon is a great character.
  21. Almost a bit of raspberry jam back there…
  22. This is a great read, with good responses so far. it reminds me of a similar thread in an MTB forum I was on, and there was an American website, that for $15 dollars ‘Admin fee’, would send you an invoice/bill for whatever you agreed with them. That way significant others wouldn’t find out how much you spent…..
