Good to know. I haven't had my mitts on one No. I've just seen them in various sizes on occasions on game days. Most players seem to get a lot of attention with people asking for a try so I've not bothered them with being another in the line of "can I have a go". I like BPs although I have none in my collection. Thank you for the detailed reply. And bugger cause I still want one... lol

See I'm in two minds; I thought it would be quieter too but I've heard that's a myth? Is it just a wasp piston/an airbrake making it quiet? Really tempting; I'd like the 16" Covert, a wasp piston, (looks like a) fast hop (until Maple or similar release one). Bucking and barrel I guess, certainly a bucking would be prefereable - unless the stock one is good (?) and the barrel can wait. I know I'll end up buckling and getting one anyway, the seed is planted now. Just a case of waiting for it to sprout. lol

Can't decide if I want to buy this rifle or not. I've got a 'once was' pimped VSR, not sure the change is going to be a huge change or just another one for the collection. I do like it, but do I need it really.... can't decide!

Anyone know if the TNT SRS Hop Chamber is better than the fast hop? EDIT 1: Found negative info regarding the TNT bucking but nothing much regarding the hop unit itself... EDIT 2: Negative info on the TNT hop unit too so no replies needed now.... lol (Chatting to myself anyway, again...)

Only thing I've changed internally on mine is the bucking and nub. Shoots just fine in the woods. I'm always tempted with some of the parts listed on here but at the same time I always read a flow of issues of why it's not working. Catch 22. Maybe I'll get a second one (model variant to be different) and have a play but really I haven't seen the need to do anything. It makes people shout hit & squeak when I shoot them which is about all it needs to do. lol

MWS put me on Gandalf mode today; "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" ... and they couldn't It was brilliant.

HPA isn't a liquid, it's just normal air compressed. It simply expands on release. The green gas (propane etc) being stored under pressure as a liquid gas is effected by temperaure (boiling point). If it's too cold it won't change into a gas quick enough when released. It can freeze the valve and make it stick, more so when spitting out liquid. It'll also make any silicon residue thicken up if frozen in the process further slowing the valve or stopping it... Plus the freezing liquid gas will freeze moisture in the air doing the same. So temperature is the issue when comparing the two (assuming everything is in good working order in terms of hardware) In a nutshell. At least that's my 50p's worth.

Did you try just putting a drop of 30 weight silicon on the valve and working it in and out a little to get the silicon into the valve? I have had a few gas mags on various rifs that leak at first but if lubed and then gassed a few times they settle down. When I say gassed I mean a few short bursts to help the silicon in and a full fill to get it under pressure. Can take a couple of goes. Never failed me yet...

Just had a Magpul FPG kit arrive. Awesome...

Swap shoulders, it hangs back instead of in the way. I use a two point; I pinched a pin and sling loop off another M4 to use on the A-sight. It's annoying the fitting is there and they didn't add the sling loop. Economy on a premium rif. lol

I've had plenty of pimped Crosman Ratcatcher rifles in my time so for fun I took a punt on one of these: ASG Tactical Sniper Gas Rifle Nothing special, I simply wanted to have something to mess about with just to see what I can get it to do.

I think it looks awesome but pricey for an AEG with a rumblepack. I'd consider one but I have a G&P Ranger M249. Whilst it doesn't have recoil, which is a bummer, I love it. One day it'll be the donor for an HPA build when I finally take that step. Be interesting to see how people field it but it'll be a rare RIF to see on a skirmish fa sure.

It's a decent enough brand however no way should the price be that high...
