  1. I've had maybe 3 or 4 members insist on some form of defence, initially adamant about ukara, but instead was able put together enough relevant info, as well as proof of an extensive rif armoury that shows that there's no criminality involved by adding to the collection. Obviously claims of "brand new" etc need to be taken with a pinch of salt, after all @avenger63 claims nearly everything he sells is new?, which we know is bs. But looking at the seller, feedback, post count, & most importantly post content, can give you an idea of the type of person your dealing with, whether its a commited knowledgeable player or a surly know nothing chav will definitely be an indicator of the quality of kit their selling, & if their claims are to be believed.
  2. @superwok what is it exactly that your looking to buy from a retailer ? I only ask as I haven't bought a rif from a retailer for about 15 years, probably the last time I had a valid ukara, anything Ive needed generally comes up in the classifieds at a greatly discounted price, & Tbh I've not had any gats let me down, only time that happened was a retailers website brand new ca mp5.
  3. Tell her she don't know what she's talking about, middle aged airsofters are usually in great shape. PS, me at my last skirmish
  4. Looks good, but as has been said, lotta money for something that might be a safety liability primarily, & lots of other issues that may not be immediately apparent. Even if everything about was up to the job, you might absolutely hate playing in it, bit like a biker riding in a Simpson Bandit helmet for the first time, talk about tunnel vision, enough to trigger a migraine. Only thing I'd suggest is if anyone has anything similar at the sites you attend, ask them if you can borrow it for a game, at least then you'll know that kinda set up is viable for you.
  5. I'm not looking for a reason to moan, I'll be honest & say I have no interest in hpa, feels like a step backwards in airsoft when aeg's can easily achieve the required UK power levels & rate of fire commensurate with the real steel models they're copies of. BUT This forum is well known for not only freedom of speech (within reason), at its core are a lot of members commited to keeping the game going, for decades in some cases. it also pushes for a positive sensible stance to all aspects of Airsoft in all it's varieties, & keeping their availability to those who want to play. While that doesn't necessarily correlate with your weirdly biased stance on hpa, it kinda feels like giving hpa users a lower fps might actually encourage some to try to cheat the system, if for example, they're playing your site but they're playing shite, will they blame it on your lower power requirements, & then fiddle with their kit to match, or even scarily surpass those limits. Personally, if I found myself in your position & mindset, I'd be more inclined to exclude hpa entirely if I felt some couldn't be trusted to adhere to the rules. So while you may have felt this is a personal attack, it's more a criticism of the information provided & how it's provided, if that makes sense.
  6. Nope, all you've done is caress your ego with talk of empires etc. That's fine, you keep stroking yourself, it's likely this thread will be around for all to read & make up their own minds, long after your site has folded. Good luck empire builder?
  7. Looks fine to me, I think that's your cataracts mate?
  8. Saw this on fb, seems apt to share it with my fellow old bikers
  9. Welcome Sofie, whatever dad posts in the "what I've just bought" thread, you can't tell mum about it?

    1. Lozart

      Lozart

also - the reply to "how much did that cost?" is ALWAYS "£30".

^^ Or "I won it in a giveaway"

  10. Can't believe I've not posted here, here's my Ducati multistrada 100ds on the day I picked it up, looks a little different now, pillion sissy bars gone, replaced with a decent top box for touring potential. I've also got a yam xt600e, in bits at the mo for some tlc & I decide if I'm gonna chop it about ? ?
  11. Agree, never stripped a sector gear, pistons tend be the weakest part of the "chain" & goes first.
  12. LOL, I want that one, so I can slide it under my sons bed at about 5am?
  13. Read the forum rules Marcus, put a proper thread in the classifieds, ideally, as your new here, with some pics with your username and the date handwritten on a piece of paper within the pics, kinda proof of life thing ?
  14. I want one, I'd happily wear it, but threads like this have put me off ordering. It's a weird situation & probably the only aspect of the forum that anybody can be critical of.
  15. I never asked a question, just made a generalised statement which fits this situation, to say you've been too busy to take 5 minutes to pop back here & answer pertinent questions sounds like bollocks to me.
  16. My take, these days Airsoft is only as expensive as you let it be, every bit of the highest quality kit has a budget equivalent, same for the guns (aeg's), obviously gas kits a bit different, but there's no reason someone can't be game ready for as little as £250, maybe less if you punt around the s/h classifieds. Same goes for green fees, a days fun for as little as £25 if you've got your own kit, very few other sporting pastimes compare to it, even renting a squash court for an hour is about £15. Paying a bit more for rental kit to give you the ability to qualify for ukara is a relatively small price to pay if your planning to stick with it.
  17. It actually happened at a game I attended, richborough power station, wasn't impressed, she had a spotty arse?
  18. Probably all the people that got them around Christmas, it's taken them this long to realise how shite they are ?
  19. If your a criminal reading this thread & are thinking about turning an IF in to a RIF, look at the pretty light ?
  20. Spot on Ed, funnily you mention your biker friend who plays (you a biker too ?), as a biker myself I've experienced similar in that you get talking to people who've never ridden, some can be quite enthusiastic about it, but others act like your the lunatic spawn of Satan for riding motorcycles & your probably a criminal who shouldn't be on the roads. Obviously as a biker who also has a gun fetish, I must be an absolute thundercnut. ?
  21. LOL, my most recent trip back to Central London, all the phone boxes seemed to be purely used as khazi's ? ?
  22. It's a difficult one, changes in society haven't helped. For example, 40 years ago every youngster & his mates chased each other around with realistic looking toys & no one on the street gave them a second look, the miltary was treble it's size, & there was literally a waiting list of people wanting to join up, in London almost every borough had a ta Hall, cadet units representing all 3 services (+ plus the marines), surplus stores aplenty, & very little gun crime, essentially lots of things to nurture interests in shooting pastimes & there was no stigma applied to anyone remotely interested in anything "gun shaped". Fast forward, sprogs in nurseries & primary schools are forbidden from even fashioning a pistol from lego, the army is tiny & can't fill it's ranks, a massive proportion of the ta & cadet units have disappeared, a small number of terrible gun sprees have massively impacted all forms of gun ownership, coupled with commonplace gun crime. All of this has changed UK societies mindset on guns & associated pastimes. Needless to say those of us that are hooked have an uphill battle to encourage others to consider joining our ranks, or even turning out once for a "taster" ?
