Like, a collective? We like collectives. I agree with the suggestion to ask more. A lot more, and on as many fora as you can find. It's more of a case of holding out for the right buyers rather than giving them away to the first oik gagging for a proper bargain.

You understand correctly. I had the paint off my two-tones straight out of the boxen, since I'd played once and had two more sessions booked, which I personally believe satisfies the "for the purposes off" future-tense intent of the VCRA more than past performance. Since you're obviously a cultured sort, I have no qualms about commending this course of action if you don't want to wait for your loicence. Stable genius, that.

Sound amplifier for a wannabe Firehawk owner

Then you absolutely should not duct tape a piece of beer[*] can over the cylinder cut-out because it will 100% cause your gun to explode and kill you. I've died twice from doing it. [*] You must only use Stella cans in a TM. It's still a fatal error, but at least you won't die like a poor. -
Best delivered-to-door 2.32J spring sniper for non poors?
Rogerborg replied to Rogerborg's topic in Single Action Guns
Actually, on reviewing some reviews, I'm now hot for the TAC-41, because: 1. It's got 41 volumes rather than 33.5 or so. This means softer springs and an easier pull for the same puff, it seems. 2. Apart from the feed ramp - which might be sorted in more recent examples - it doesn't seem to need anything doing other than a spring change. Even SRS owners seem to think it's an improvement. 3. The bolt / cylinder removal procedure for a spring change is amazingly simple, it doesn't require any disassembly at all (other than getting a tool out of the stock). 4. I can actually get it in stock, plus magazines and springs at reasonable prices. 5. Comes in beige, the best colour (although the grey might be even bester). A little more weight than I'd like, but I can just beefcake up. Any strong objections? -
Although I'm always a bit way of the progression from "honouring my Keltoí ancestors" -> "neo-paganist symbology" -> "a rather selective interest in mid-20th century history".

That, really, you need more blow than your balls can handle. My Galaxy MP5K is pretty cracky to begin with, and a Sound Hog branded loudener directs it better, but does nothing on my properly volumed M4 or G36C. -
Am I right in saying that the smooth bolt pull is down to the larger cylinder volume meaning it doesn't have to be as highly sprung as VSR equivalents?

I suspect most of them do to some extent, or at least the ones that get any sort of popular attention. Bold statements of fact, no matter how crazy, are always more appealing than the truth, which is usually "We don't know, this is at best a semi-informed guess" See also "my fU11y uPgR4d3d gun can shoot like a laser at 100m" versus "all airsoft guns are basically the same". An historian chum did once let slip that radio carbon dating works like this: you decide what date you want something to be, and you keep sending your sample to be dated (at different, or even the same lab) until you either get the number that you want, or you run out of budget.

Heh, this takes me back to my historic reenactment stitch-counting days. That appears to be from Diodorus Siculus, a 1st century BC Greek historian writing, or rather anthologist. One of his citations was Ctesias of Cnidus, of the monopodal claims above, so that's the level of veracity we can expect. The citations I can find for that refer to Gauls, rather than Britons. All Celts though, right? This purports to be a Roman Republic coin depicting a Celt. How do we know it's a Celt? Well, it looks like a Celt. How do we know what Celts looked like? Here's a coin that looks like one (and around we go). Likewise, this is cited as a Roman copy of a Greek statue and has been dubbed "The Dying Gaul", by much the same circular reasoning. This is more interesting, it's apparently a British Iceni coin, cited as "Bury F". That's the only context I can find for it. You can read into it what you like, and those who want to wear crusty dreads doubtless will. You can find similar looking images on other coins here, which do seem superficially compelling, until you look at the other side and often see horses with their manes depicted in the same fashion. It would be curious to take such pride in an animal that you'd depict it on your coinage, but with its mane all skanky and tangled. People are going to see what they want to see though. The "hair like snakes" quote is widely attributed to Julius Caesar, but when challenged, nobody seem able to cite a source. It doesn't appear in this English translation of The Gallic Wars. The closest is this passage:
-
Pliny the Elder: People from India look like this, because the Romans said so.

Fascinating. What's the primary source reference for that?

Best delivered-to-door 2.32J spring sniper for non poors?

Cards on the table, I like the SRS and the Steyr Scout, but the SSG10 is £100 less and ticks all the right boxen. I've been F5'ign UKFOB since I started this thread. -
Really? That's an astonishingly specific claim. What's your primary source reference for that?

I see White Guy Dreadlocks, I hit the "Call the Cultural Appropriation Police" button.

It would be doing God's work.

Best delivered-to-door 2.32J spring sniper for non poors?

Hmm, internerds reckon that it's based on the SSG24, and the Modify mags do look similar. Not that there are loads of the SSG24 mags kicking around. -

Under £100! Which is pretty surprising for springy things that claim to be bang on 500-ish fps / 2.3J. Magazine availability looks quite patchy though. My pennies, yes, but in this case someone is looking to buy it for me as a *cough*tieth birthday present, so I might break my £140 record. -
What's the next step to upgrading my currently stock AEG?
Rogerborg replied to ModernTimes's topic in Electric Guns
Snap, with a Big Dragon M160 on 7.4V pulling a 1.8J M130-ish spring. Fine with that battery and spring and the stock motor, fine with an M90 spring and a Big Dragon M140 (at 7.4V or 11.1V), but craps out at pulling anything harder and faster. A basic mosfet is great to allow more current flow, but only it if does allow more current flow. This is ticking a feature box while not really doing anything useful. -

Specifically the Kings Arms? I ask because there's also an AGM: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/agm-svd-m-bolt-action-sniper-rifle And a KOER: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/koer-svd-bolt-action-sniper-rifle The AGM admits to being a meaty old lad to straight pull, and I suspect the KOER will likely be much the same, "Easy straight pull design" claims to the contrary. SVDs are an interesting option, but long + stronk is the opposite of what I'm looking for. I'm circling around to SRS A2s which offer short and stout (cylinders) with a reportedly easier pull. Although it's hard to find arguments against the SSG10, apart from the marketing wankery. -

Agreed, the X-ASR mosfet in the Edge is largely pointless, and actually a problem with higher draw motors. -
Lots of it around. Have you let @Jedi_Master know?

Look interest- "Weight: 6.100 Kg (with magazine)." 😲 Nah, I don't fancy mounting it on a gun carriage. -
Stock motors tend to be a bit meh for semi-auto response, I've upgraded all mine. SHS Hi Torque are popular, but I'm a cheapskate so use Big Dragon M140s (and M160 in a 1.8J DMR) from AliExpress. Even the most basic mosfet will allow more current flow to the motor, they are worth throwing in for that. For reliability though, it's another thing to mess up or go wrong, and new trigger contacts are £5 delivered for V2 / V3 gearboxen.

Ah, right. Might actually be a better route to go then. -
They're yellow-snow flavoured. Nimh works, and is less explodey than lithium. It's just old technology with a high self-discharge rate and lower power delivery.
