Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

No I mean you can filter between the different kinds of sellers, depending on what you're looking for. The point being to level the playing field and stop individual ads from being buried -

That's actually not a bad idea. You could then have filters so if you're not interested in high volume sellers you could just look at the regular sellers. Then as a seller you're not worrying so much about getting buried -
What have you just 3d printed (for airsoft)
PopRocket123 replied to sp00n's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
A few more bits finished printing last night. The replacement gas plug, selector blank, spring stop and buffer tube adapter are all for the SCAR H DMR and the last part is a buffer spacer to work with the M4 folding stock adapter -
Personally I think the rail on it is bad enough. I don't know why but those rails with the cut down picatinny on the top rail are positively vomit inducing

The punisher skull really completes the look 😂

This is why I'd rather use the MTR 16 as the base for an ambi build. Everything else would get replaced though

Ok this is just taking the piss at this point. Three ads, all for almost the same gun, all with a few extra mags and all put up within minutes of each other. But this is just his personal collection 😂 -

Oh what the fuck?! -
I have a post in the custom guns thread on here but that's a low traffic thread. I also have a Facebook page, Project Peregrine. That's got a post that goes in depth with my design, why I decided to make it and why I came to the design I did. Short version is I wasn't expecting people to be as into this as they have been so I only ever planned on making one using cheap second hand parts wherever possible. The mags were a cheap bundle and the gearbox someone had laying around for spares. The gearbox design uses an ICS split gearbox upper with a custom gearbox lower using standard V2 gears and a short style motor and cage. That's going to be made from laser cut steel side plates and 3d printed infills. This makes it easily converted to HPA as long as you can resolder the trigger to a remote microswitch. The trigger for this uses a BTC Chimera with a remote trigger module and microswitch in the gearbox. The body of the gun is going to be largely 3d printed in at least 6 pieces. I will also be using laser cut steel rails down the sides to add some much needed rigidity and a standard 200mm AEG outer barrel. Mags have been tricky. I got the Uzi ones because they were cheap and available and already had a fitting for an uzi style mag release. Other options I'm looking at for potential future versions are some of the PCC Glock style mags that use the Glock mag catch but I'll consider anything that's reliable, available and not too expensive as long as it has a mag catch design that would work in a pistol grip. That means mp5 and Evo mags are out. The plan for rails and stocks is to make a working gun first but leave replaceable parts of the gun like the forend and rear plate to be modular so I can swap them out with new parts as I design them. I am looking at an MP7 style stock and forends with different rail options. This is all very early days, we haven't even drawn up all of the off the shelf parts and we still need to get our hands on a classic Army X9 mag and/or an Ares m45 mag to get dimensions to know where to put the motor

It's going to be something of a sci fi Uzi. It uses the right mags though -
I've started designing a machine pistol AEG using a custom gearbox. I'm currently getting accurate drawings of all of the existing parts before I can start drawing up the 3d printed and laser cut parts around them. I got fed up staring at a bunch of parts and mocked up a rough layout of where everything is going and how it should look. I'm really excited to get more done on this.

What have you just 3d printed (for airsoft)
PopRocket123 replied to sp00n's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
The final version has been printed! It's been through a couple of redesigns, the bottom rail has been lowered to make room inside, the walls have been thickened, some unnecessary screws have been removed and the m Lok is now to spec. Just waiting for the fittings to arrive and for it to be dropped round and I can finally get it fitted. Then on to the M4 stock adapter... -

It can go the other way too. I had an idea for a for an uzi style AEG with a funky custom gearbox after the disappointment that was the MP7 AEG. I posted it to go get lol at this cool thing I'm working on and I had loads of interest about buying it and even people offering help to bring it to market! Of course I'm not getting my hopes up but sometimes these things people really do want what you can make -

That's exactly why I'd probably never sell any of my main guns. They've all been built from parts or boneyard guns and have had hundreds pumped into building them exactly how I want them but I know if it came to selling them, they wouldn't sell for more than £300 -

For anyone interested here's the bow he's using. If this works he's hoping to sell the files and a parts kit https://www.bowsports.com/acatalog/Poelang---Buster-Compound--Kit--3582.html
-
In this case the bow already comes with that built in. The cams are adjustable to change the draw strength and length and the hold strength Also this one actually has a hop up and changeable magazines so is already a lot more usable
-
Ok maybe more like a dick with a stick
-
This is the best part. It's tunable so I could take it to a woodland game and play as a sniper then adjust the cylinder volume or string tension and run around in a cqb game sub 350fps like fucking Legolas
-
Do it! Get a low weight children's bow. When he did the maths on the energy output, this stupidly cheap children's compound bow has an energy output of around 24J so it only needs to be around 10% efficient to get 500fps. The trick is getting a safe energy output without it breaking
-
Some of you may remember my dad's airsoft bow project. Well unsurprisingly he never finished it but he's decided to pick it back up and rework it using his new knowledge and experience. Then someone suggested putting a trishot barrel on it so obviously now we have to do it. Just need to get our hands on a boneyard shotty for the hop up and feed system...

When I said comically oversized... I think I need a longer outer barrel
