  1. Hey guys. Just got my 416 and love it. Just one thing I've noticed it's a A5 gen3 but for some reason the trigger seems to be alloy not steel. Is this something they changed as everything thing else inside it is steel and the gen 3 upgrades are present.
  2. I was thinking of trying this site as it's in my end of the country will definitely give it a go.
  3. Yea definitely. I bought a Ra tech nozzle for my l85 and it was so bad it smashed up my hop chamber and constantly miss fed. Only Ra tech bits I use are their npas as they do seem decent never had an issue with those.
  4. Ahh gutted man. We all do those little fuck ups. I had on my l85 a crack on the front of the fram so tried a fix of welding it at work but not clicking on it's cheap chineasium metal and just melted it before my eyes soon as the arc touch it, so had to buy a replacement part. Definitely looking forward to getting the 416. Got a good deal with it 6 mags, the rifle and carry bag all for £500 seconds hand rifle but near new never fielded so hopefully got a great rifle there.
  5. I thought that might be the case as it took weeks to arrive when I ordered it. I'll definitely steer clear in the future if that's the case. From your experience what companies these days are good to use for parts as I've been out the game for 8 years and things have changed so much since I played originally, for 1 gbb at the time bar pistols was a big niche and not many companies at it but the ones doing it where great but they are now terrible or fell off the map.
  6. Has anyone used the clutch precision parts? I ask as I'd like to buy some upgrade parts but my first experience with them isn't good. I bought their mp7 base plate and not at all satisfied with it, the precision part of their name doesn't seem to be there, had to file and shape it to get to fit correctly and the holes they mill out for the but stock are way too big and don't hold the stock correctly in my book compared to the OEM plastic one (pictured below for comparison). I wouldn't recommend this part to anyone to replace a broken OEM plate instead just get a replacement plastic one with a steal latch as it'll be so much cheaper that this one. Might be designed in Germany but their production is sourced out to Asia and imagine this is where the lack of precision can stem from. Are all of their upgraded parted of the same quality? if so this is a company I'll be putting in the same category as Ra tech and not buying any more from them.
  7. Hey guys. Just purchased my hk416 and can't wait to get it in my hands. Been a GBBR guy all my Airsoft life and had many different ones my main one being a we l85 that I've owned since 2014 so changing to the vfc M4 platform will be a big change up for me. Got the vfc mp7 gen 2 I plan to run as a side arm along with the 416. Will be keeping the l85 as a back up rifle as keeps with my ex British forces mind set.
  8. Obviously doesn't know the mp7 platform. This one's worse than the we not even full size, just to think the price he's after I got a vfc gen 2 with 6 mags for similar price.
  9. Is it the woods? I bet it's the woods.
  10. I remember back when they did sort of allow it around 12 years ago. Bought my first rif from an Airsoft selling group. Now they are too twitchy because they don't like fire arms full stop.
  11. My Mrs just asked me why am I looking at iq stuff. Getting a piss take with some of these ads
  12. I fully agree with what you say about people controlling their posts to make them look rosy and positive. I do photography as another hobby and the amount of times I post constructive criticism on someone's post who asked for a opinion on their shot then to have my comment deleted because they don't agree with my opinion to help them out, happens way to often especially with the younger generations who think they are the bees knees because their mates say they are. Happens way too often hence why I moved away from Facebook and barely comment anymore on Instagram posts.
  13. The ads on this forum really are annoying me. Keep popping up every page I visit. Minimise it then seconds later a new one pops up.
  14. Welcome to the forum. I'm also Midlands based. Hopefully meet one day at a game.
  15. Oh yea I fully agree with all the points you raise. That's what I mean by keep telling myself it's Airsoft and not RS it's just a pain to let go of habits from being a target shooting instructor for the cadets. A plastic ball flying in the air out of a smooth barrel isn't going to perform accurate at all every shot.
  16. I can definitely see this being something Steven Bartlett would invest in he loves his tech and can be another thing he can endorse with huel haha.
  17. They look like same markings that are on the golden eagle M4 series of riffles.
  18. The paid promotions in reviews really puts me off. So many reviewers for other products out there that get paid from the manufacturer to do a review they like especially in my other interest of cars, so many car YouTubers I refuse to watch as the endorse terrible products just so they get a pay day from the manufacturer. Makes them dishonest reviews then.
  19. Makes me laugh when I see reviews of guns and a big negative they say is this isn't ambidextrous so I wouldn't purchase this gun, even though I only shoot r/h but I'll still pull this gun down. It's like come on do your research on a particular platform and you'll know before hand that the rs isnt ambi. (Yes I'm talking about the l85).
  20. In my defence it's mainly for gun reviews. Can't stand the ones running round a field shooting thinking they are sas. They never show you how many hits they received.
  21. One thing I have to keep reminding myself with Airsoft is these aren't rs guns. Been watching a few YouTube videos of airsofters and it grinds my gears seeing so much poor marksmanship principles being practiced. Basic things like only the bottom of the but in the shoulder, snapping of the trigger and so on. I suppose this is why I've read a few times Airsoft can teach a few bad habits that on rs you wouldn't get away with and make you a bad shooter. But at the end of this everyone is having fun and I need to forget about my training and experience with rs so I'm not one to pull people down if I see bad practices on a site or video.
  22. A good fun day at gaol events the jail. Great site and well managed. My only gripe with this place is the time to set up and safety brief takes a while, today we arrived at 0810 but we didn't start shooting till 1030ish. But I can overlook this for a well run site during game. The marshals are spot on and the site gaffer keeps a bit of humour and professionalism in the day. Was my second time here and will definitely be back again.
  23. Just got this fun little gun. A vfc mp7 gen 2 with removable suppressor and 6 mags. Feel like I got a deal at £450 for the whole lot.
  24. Can't say I like that stock either. Looks like a cross with a honey badger. Mp5 don't need buffer tubes. Is this based off a genuine mp5 or just a creation from cyma?
  25. Always a got time got my favourite band SUM 41. Currently listening to this one.
