    I finally jumped onto the El Cheapo Ares 'drop in' HPA gearboxes. Time will tell if it really does drop in without any alignment issues. It certainly seems to be working well out of the gun though. Pleasantly surprised to see that they appear to have upgraded the latest batch with the battery cable being wired to deans, and to be rear wired with a long enough length to go through the buffer tube (the first batch had a very short wire with an XT30 connector). Cautiously I have also obtained an Ares rotary hop unit, in case the gearbox doesn't play well with my usual hop unit choices. Not bad for £131 posted.....

    Thanks guys. I was looking for sears to put in the tm trigger housing but this felt risky and a bodge. After a lot of browsing I found a maple leaf trigger box at a good price, hopefully it'll hold up and perform well.

    I've just turned them off. Google Adsense does 'auto ads' by default, and this meant basically spamming the entire site with them. Apparently it was 'running an experiment' and just implemented the results for everybody yesterday. The intention is for Adsense ads to appear in the normal two spots (header and footer). There should be no extra ads anywhere else. In terms of functionality they will just be like the ads already on AF-UK but provided by Google and in the same exact spot and size as those who directly advertise on AF-UK already. I would have noticed this sooner but funnily enough I don't see the Adsense ads as apparently it doesn't serve them to the account administrator (clicking your own ads is actually a policy violation too for obvious reasons so perhaps that's why). Sorry everyone for the temporarily more shitty experience. Edit: if you see any ads where they shouldn't be (or in a size that's not normal) please drop a message here and tag me.

    Guys, in case anyone isn't aware, the latest run of overly large, & exceptionally annoying ads aren't intended to be a permanent fixture, Proffrink is working hard, when he has the time from his irl commitments, to sort it & I believe migrate the page to a new host site, which should sort most of the issues. Obviously its not a 5 minute job, & in doing so the forum will likely experience some downtime, at least until its all completed. So in the meantime we'd ask you to be patient, there's no need to pm the mods about it, were experiencing the same issues & its just as frustrating for us lol. On the subject of ads in general, yes the forum has running costs, which im not privy to, but obviously the original banner ads (not the new annoying stuff), goes some way to mitigate the running costs, those ads are all airsoft related & not annoying in the least usually. Thanks for your patience🙏

    Here we have something a little different to the normal Scorpion's that get advertised. This is an EvoTek Scorpion Evo which has been highly upgraded with an EvoTek kit installed by an ASG approved tech. Purchased in 2018 and has only seen one game day since purchase. Selling due to not playing and it is a waste. 3d printed handguard, mini suppressor, 3d printed skeletonised stock cover, micro T1 sight with lens protector, 9 x mid cap mags, ASG Evo carry bag, 2 x 11.1v Nuprol Li-Po batteries and two foregrips. I have also upgraded the mag release latch. All mags have the empty mag cut off lever which cuts the trigger when the mag is empty, like a PTW. All internals have been upgraded with the EvoTek kit which includes; Ultimate gear set high speed 16:1 / short stroked Madbull precision 7075 6.01mm tight bore barrel Ultimate mil-spec AEG spring M95 Prometheus purple flat hop rubber Aluminium piston head (vented) Polycarbonate piston M170 red Anti-reversal latch modification Aluminium ver.2 cylinder head Steel spring guide with bearing 30k boost motor - short axle 8mm Ceramic bearings CNC short stroke trigger (hairline mod) The AEG alone cost me £1,000.00 for the AEG and upgrade kit. The entire kit up for sale cost me around £1,200 - £1,300. I am asking £600 for the lot which includes postage. This is a very reluctant sale, the AEG is amazing and the trigger response is outrageous. I am open to sensible offers as well. Please do not message me asking if I will split the mags or scope etc, messages asking for splits will be ignored. Sorry.
