Clearly the Raven (Nuprol) being so cheap will be lower quality than more expensive options but its an introduction to blowback pistols within your budget. If it doesn't work properly you can return it. Keep in mind it probably won't last as long as more expensive options but it may be OK.

I would warn against Raven pistols. I have never heard a good review on them that wasn't paid for in Airsoft International If you want a cheap pistol, I will echo @EDcase on the second one though. An ASG or STTI mk23 with a hop rubber upgrade (I like 4uantum or Flamingo rubbers) and a hadron h-arm goes incredibly hard for about £80 all in, but my experience with them just out of the box is pretty lacklustre; my STTI mk23 barely hit 30m out of the box, but a hop rubber and h-arm or h-plate solved that immediately and they're not expensive upgrades. For a GBB, the Action Army AAP-01 is really good for the price too and will be fine out of the box and even have full auto, though without upgrades I'd caution against using the full auto as the sears tend to shatter if you use full auto too much. Plus all consistency goes out of the window when you flick the brrrrttt switch. AEPs are usually not worth it, and that's coming from someone who owns a TM mp7 and an ASG scorpion, both of which are built like AEPs but a little bit bigger. When it comes to pistols, even the more expensive Cyma mosfet ones are underwhelming, and they're probably the best ones available. You won't get much more than 0.5J out of it, it won't hop anything heavier than a .25 and you'll probably get about 30m range, maybe 40m for a higher end one. My TM mp7 is larger than a regular AEP and costs about £250 new and that just about floats .28s out to 45m. I don't think I'd ever buy an AEP pistol; even my little AEP SMGs barely get any use.

Due to the physics that allows airsoft to work airsoft guns are not accurate. Higher guns will (unless they are brand new will have had a hard life and shot more BBs in a 6 Month Period than a privately owned gun will in its life time). Good accuracy in airsoft is consistent centre mass hits at 50 to 60m. You can get more out and AEG but you are talking custom builds with lots of fine tuning and testing.

As above, I would urge you to forget an AEP. They are quite inefficient and underwhelming. HERE is the lowest price GBP that will give you the experience of proper blowback action but may not be as accurate or consistent with more expensive ones. Of course you'll need some gas and I recommend THIS one. (Of course its cheaper if you buy in bulk) OR THIS one is quite highly regarded as more powerful but without the blowback action (which is half the fun in my opinion)

I did consider the specna arms prime which I read that they are good as well but I cant find anywhere I can buy them mostly no stocks. Any idea where I can purchase the Prime? Thank you. I will have a look into the double eagle. The G&G i have nothing in particular, it was the arnament I guess. I am just checking good ones or best out of the box as I am not looking to upgrade anytime apart from cosmetics

Out of interest, which G&G model caught your eye? I wouldn't avoid the brand though depending on the model you buy, can can get more out of your hard-earned. Have you looked at the Double Eagle M904/M906 series? The former looks like it's being phased out for the latter to replace it and it is much less expensive but the M904 was regarded was an AEG that gave (and still gives) really good value for money. -
Is the E&C glock an AEP? Also that's a bit rich for my blood currently, most I can push the boat out is £70. Reason for wanting an AEP is cheaper overall running costs (Don't have to buy gas). Doesn't need to be a banger of a gun... no pun intended, I'd be happy to save the cash and just spitball the BBs out of a plastic straw, it's more to have a second life if weapon hit. would cheap out on a 20 quid spring pistol but I'm feeling like the durability on them would be lesser than a £60 AEP.
-
aeps are mostly garbage, very underpowered, poor range. If price is your main concern you could consider an E&C glock which usually runs about 80-90 quid.

So I've never used pistol but have been considering getting one. I was thinking about getting an AEP and was hoping to spend around £60 (with a 10er tolerance either side) on it at most. Does anyone have any experience with the cheaper AEPs, I'm also open to suggestions as to which to go with. Thanks in advance.

My first OOTB AEG was the specna arms prime. Pre-upgraded and seems to want for nothing yet. Solid rifle and dont currently feel the need to change anything apart from cosmetics and function. So i can imagine the EDGE isn't too far apart. I think out of those choices you would end up being happy with either -

Today was an invitation game day at Airsoft Plantation; 42 trusted, honest and excellent players, including some of the marshals and the site owner, were on site for the day. Oh, and so was I! As I wanted to finish setting up the ICS Masada, I had even more rifles with me than usual, much to the amusement of one of the other players, who was also shocked that I also had something that looked rather like an M4. The first game involved us (the blue team) attacking the village from the hill fort; we had infinite buddy regens after falling back 30m, while the defenders had three lives. Our objective was to set off bombs in four structures in the correct order; these being the Cock Inn, the Town Hall, the Casino and the Border Bridge. Eschewing the direct approach, I elected to swing far to the left and attack the village from the far end, so that I could hopefully strike the defenders in the flank while they battled against my colleagues. This proved to be a good plan as I was able to surprise and take out a number of them; we fought our way into the village, destroying all of the objectives after some really intense firefights. After a quick break to mag up, the game was reversed. The enemy pressed hard; again, there were some great firefights and some great play, as might be expected on an invitation-only day.. The highlight of this game for me was that I shot the site owner a couple of times. Yay! The next game required the enemy, who again had infinite 30m buddy regens, having to attack the Mortar Pits from the DEA Base, secure a stretcher from the top of the tunnels and then transport a player on it to the bridge on the other side of the Mortar Pits. The stretcher required four players to move it and, if the player on it was hit, they had to be replaced by another player; we had two lives. Starting off at the front of the Mortar Pits, I engaged a number of targets as the enemy tried to push towards the tunnels; we held them up for a considerable time, although I was eventually hit by a sniper who had moved into the hill fort. Falling back to near the berm which runs down the far side of the Mortar Pits, I became involved in fighting off the attackers who were trying to reach the stretcher. We held them up for a long time, before eventually being overrun as they pushed along the berm. Being hit again, I retired to the trailer at the back of the Mortar Pits to watch the fun, which included red team players attacking each other in the mistaken belief that they were the enemy. Eventually, they got an injured player to the bridge. Luncheon was then taken, after which the stretcher game was turned around. We decided to split the team in two, with one group attacking and taking the bridge, while the rest of us secured the stretcher and transported it there. Our group pushed quite rapidly into the Mortar Pits, overcoming a strong enemy defence before being held up by accurate fire from the top deck of the bus. We eventually overcame this and I was very impressed with one of my shots, which went through a small open window and hit the player behind it. There was then a push to get the stretcher to the bridge, which was completed after a couple of changes of stretcher bearers and passengers. After this game, I left as I wanted to get home to watch Liverpool win the Premiership; fortunately, they did so, which was worth giving up some airsoft time for. As should be expected from such a day, there was some great play and generally excellent hit taking, although there were a few comments about one player. It was hard fought but also great fun and was played in an excellent spirit. Weapons used: SRC T-91 (which looks rather like an M4) ICS CXP APE ACR (Masada) Classic Army ISSC Mk22 (Because someone decided that the world needed a .22 version of the SCAR) ASG XP18 Commander (CO2)
