You're using the stock, 8.4 nimah batteries? If so, that , slightly discharged batteries and not enough of a trigger pull is the combo you're getting , it's pretty well known for stock tm recoils. I suspect if you switch it to full auto rather than smacking it then it'll start as well. Essentially what you have is exactly what you're describing, not enough juice is getting to the motor to turn the gears enough and it's stopping just before firing (used to be referred to as lock up). Normally, you're absolutely right to run it stock, a TM especially however this is one of those things that are just crap. The stock batteries are crap and there is no recouping your money for them. My advice would be to buy some 7.4 lipos and use those, You'll either need to convert the rif or buy a converter. IF you can solder 2 bits of wire together, convert it yourself, there are videos (probably from eagle6) on how to do this on youtube. It's easy if you can solder. If you can't solder or are too intimidated to, then some retailers (I think fire support do) that sell a converter. There are other methods to solve this. You can try really hard to give the trigger a good pull every time, however the batteries likely aren't up to the job, they were probably sitting in the retailers inventory for years, so while they might be new to you, they could be 5-10 years old. You can fit or have fitted a mosfet, the Gate Titan is the current one, this is somewhere in the region of £100-£170 (depending on model) plus labour (been a while since I looked), but it is pretty awesome. If you're doing this and paying someone to, then I'd consider a spring upgrade too, even if just an m95 or m100 as this is a gearbox open job. Where abouts are you based?

I bought this in China for a loadout and never got around to getting the helmet for it, alas. It is therefore new! The helmet cover features a velcro rectangle on one side for a patch, and a velcro-closed flap on the other side, through which is supposed to run the cable for NODS that go to a battery pack carried on a soldier's LBV, part of the PLA standard issue smart-ish soldier system. I believe this helmet cover is designed for the older PLA QGF-03 helmet, rather than the newest QGF-19. As the QGF-03 is based on the PASGT, it should theoretically fit a PASGT-type helmet, though I haven't tried it. Price includes shipping in the UK£10

I bought these in China for a loadout and never actually got round to using them. I believe these use the Type 21 pattern camouflage material, rather than the older Type 19 pattern, but its a little hard to tell as the large ABS pads cover most of the pads. Price includes shipping in the UK£15

PLA Type 21 Camouflage Fighting Shirt & Trousers - Size 180-92/96

I bought these in China, never used them, just tried on once for size. The pattern is the PLA's current issue Forest Pattern Type 21 Camouflage. If you are looking for some hen's teeth in your loadout, here it is... This sale includes the 'fighting shirt' and trousers. In Chinese parlance, this style of fighting shirt uniform translates to 'frogsuit', maybe due to the association with Frogmen. There are velcro patches on both arms, and reinforcements on the knees, elbows and arse, weirdly enough. Chinese sizing can be a bit vague, but 180 corresponds to maximum height in centimetres, and 92/96 corresponds to chest measurement in centimeters. For reference, I am 178cm tall with a 38 inch chest and normal build, and these fit very well. The trousers are a medium-long leg, with the waist being about 30-32 inches, with elastic expansion sections and 2" belt loops. Pairs well with the knee pads, belt, helmet cover that I'm also selling, if you're looking for a modern PLA loadout, haha. Price includes shipping in the UK£65

Nothing fancy about these, they are just a new pair of black half-finger tactical gloves with that reinforced carbon fibre-looking knuckle part. Bought them for a particular loadout, then realised the loadout was more suited to coyote-coloured ones. Price includes shipping in the UK£5

The stamp on the back notes a manufacture year of 1970, so we'll call this "New, Old Stock". It also notes the manufacturer's code, Factory 3522. The PLA was unusual in staying with stick-type grenades as their primary infantry hand grenade until fairly recently. One can still see load bearing gear issued to some PLA troops (especially lower priority units) which has grenade pouches designed to carry this pattern of stick grenade. The bag would have been standard issue for PLA troops since the 60s, having the same basic design philosophy and reach as the ubiquitous 'Chicom Chest Rig'. Good for a Vietnam look, Sino-Viet border conflicts, that kind of thing. The wooden training grenades are painted, so the 'screw cap' doesn't actually come off or anything like that. They are just a lump of kindling designed to mimic the real-deal for training. They look pretty cool arrayed in the bag though. Price includes shipping in the UK£20

It's a waterproof/oil proof tough cloth or mat that you'd put down on your nice clean kitchen table to tinker with your guns so that the missus doesn't snap at you. I'm not sure if these are actually PLA issue, but they seem pretty nifty so I picked one up while I was there. The Chinese writing on the cloth says "Gun Cleaning Cloth (Type 191 Automatic Rifle)". The text below the rifle is an idiom meaning "Caring for Equipment is Everyone's Responsibility", and then some step-by-step instructions for gun cleaning. If you have a Type 191 Rifle, you could pop it on there. If you don't, I suppose you could use it as a mat for anything else. Price includes shipping in the UK£6

These are the standard issue tactical glasses issued by the PLA since 2021. When I bought them, I was assured by the manufacturer that they were ballistic rated polycarbonate lenses, UV filtering, all that good stuff. However, I have never tested their ballistic protective properties myself. The label on the front describes protection from UV and sand/dust. It also states the manufacture date, October 2023. In terms of design, they are basically a copy of ESS Crossbows. The PLA, as is often the case, takes the phrase "No need to reinvent the wheel" rather to heart. Sold as New, I only tried them on once. Price includes shipping in the UK£18

So this is a pretty cool find I picked up while in China. It's the optic from a PF-89 80mm disposable anti-tank rocket launcher. The rocket launcher was the PLA's equivalent to the AT-4 from 1989 until the early 2010s, after which it was phased out in favour of the DZJ-08. As far as I can tell, each 2.5x scope was boresighted to each individual rocket launcher. Since the launcher was disposable, this implies the scope was too. A weirdly expensive solution for the oversized and underfunded PLA of the 1980s to issue disposable magnifying optics for rockets, but who am I to judge? If you were hoping to mount this on your RIS as a neat little low-power rifle optic... think again! There is no simple way to mount this to anything (unless you have an old PF-89 knocking around?) without significant modification. And even if you do, they were boresighted at the factory to each rocket, so there is no way to zero the scope. If you were working on your own rocket launcher project, or just like interesting military curios, this is for you. The scope housing is mostly made of plastic, probably ABS. The optic is very clear once you get your eyeball nice and snug in the rubber eyepiece, with the etched range and windage scale coming into focus only when your eye focuses on things in the distance, as a proper scope should. The sale includes the polystyrene box it came in. As far as anyone's guess, this one was manufactured in 1996 and has only been opened once (by me) to verify that its okay. It's therefore 'new, old stock'. Price includes shipping in the UK£40

Running them on the batteries I didn’t covert it as first gun and just getting into it. I double checked the motor connections and even tightened the crimps on the wires to get a better connection. it’s weird it sometimes quietly hums when I have the trigger pulled like it wants to fire but not enough juice to cycle. I have changed batteries and mags and no mag etc and no change in symptoms.

This is the standard duty belt / trouser belt for the People's Liberation Army since 2017. Its a very simple design, with a single-piece metal buckle and a nylon 1.5" belt with a securing loop. Does the job, with no frills. Has the iconic PLA emblem on the buckle. If the stamps are of interest, the ones on the belt and buckle state it was manufactured in August 2018. The buckle features the manufacturer's name, Jihua 3543 Clothing & Accessories Company Ltd. I bought this while I was in China. Price includes shipping in the UK£7.50

Selling due to barely playing airsoft anymore. only defect is that the 'flash eliminator' is missing. We all know how good these things are out the box, it is standard with the exception of the charge handle spring has been adapted so it doesn't fall out. 1 battery 2 hicaps 4 standard mags and viper chest rig included. I would prefer cash on pick up as opposed to posting, but not against posting.£300
