This is a shame, it's one that's been on my bucket list for a while, gonna have to try to get a day (or half ?) in before they go. Anyone feel like pushing me around ?
-
I only went to Invicta once, several years ago; it wasn't a great day, but it looks like the site has developed a lot since then. Yalding would be much more accessible, so I will be visiting when it opens.

Tell me about it, I've got a fair pair on me 😉 Or maybe a nice bulle mle, I think there's a jolly nice chap selling a couple in the classifieds ATM 😉 https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/64168-bulle-rigs-od/ Helikon TMR would definitely fit the bill👍 -

No, I will REFUSE to see the light, and I WILL wear twice my weight in armour. Nyeh. It makes me feel... sexy. (Here is an interesting article (A) from West Point about the weight a modern infantryman should or should not be expected to carry). -

Trouble shouldering rifle with Osprey MkIV
TheFull9 replied to Holly Wallace's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
The issue isn't you, the Osprey is just wank, literally nothing you can do to the vest, your gun or your stance to change that. I've probably fired a good few hundred rounds while wearing the Mk4 and it was always a contortion act of combative awkwardness. When it's stuffed with real armour it'll cover you well against artillery shrapnel and IED frag, which you care about in the relevant circumstances, problem is of course they aren't airsoft, and there's a reason cool SF blokes who jump out of helos in to room-clearing combat where every bit of speed and mobility count all wear American/American-influenced trimmed down plate carriers vs bulky mass issued armour. My guess with the grey pad is that it's only intended to work in the prone, not sure why exactly, presumably just the result of troop trials, but it's simply far higher than you'd ever want to place the butt of your rifle when in any other shooting position. There's a million and 1 different options for rigs, if we were all truly honest we'd say the most efficient of which is just a hi-cap in a pocket, but then all men would lose our form of fashion shopping and dressing up as a hobby. End of the day, if you're a small person, micro chest rigs and small belts are the best thing to go for; there are some specifically smaller plate carriers but they're not as common out in the market. -

Welcome 🤚 Presuming you are in the UK Your parents will not be able to buy a non two tone (RiF) unless they have UKARA registration so the only option at the moment is two-tone. It may be disappointing but its easier to show they are toys if someone sees you playing in the field. You have to make sure BBs do not leave the area of the field and you must stop play if someone is nearby who can get hit with a BB. Oh, and make sure you and friends have good eye protection. That can get serious real quick.

Need Some Advice – Struggling to Maintain My MWS Setup
TheFull9 replied to Ulmocuk's topic in General Discussion
Just gonna steal one of Negative Airsoft's posts: But no, that's the pure facetious answer. I think GBBRs have had a such a huge spike in popularity the past few years because (especially with MWS) they reached a point where they're reliable and effective enough for regular use, certainly if you have regular access to your collection and time/money/energy to do that bit more maint than an AEG. It's not a ton of maint (unless you get unlucky) but the fact is it is just more than an AEG overall. You can still get unlucky with an AEG, but it's slim odds with a good one realistically. Personally I only have access to my own RIFs about 10% of the time, so all the mags for my few gas guns are stored with maintenance gas and often sealed in bags. Occasionally use the pistols but don't touch the rifles frankly; plink toys at this point given the logistical issues I have and the rarity of getting to games. AEGs just work for me given the limitations I have to contend with and I think they make more sense for people who want to play but only just about have the time and money to do that part, not to milsim being an armourer as well as a special army soldier (again, sarcasm, relax gassy people). I think the easiest overall solution is get something like the TM G36C+ or SG553+ and just never worry about it. Plenty of other options of course and those examples are a smidge behind the curve in power, but for myself I'd take that in exchange for the high probability of just being able to use them, chuck them back in storage and never think about them until they're back in my hands again on the field. -
Abbey Ultra, it has upl suspended in its mixture, great on the guns seals and doesn’t gum up like silicon oil.

Trouble shouldering rifle with Osprey MkIV
ButcherBill replied to Holly Wallace's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Unfortunately this applies to many male airsofters too... yes I'm in that category. I wanted a mk4 in my collection & got one to wear in game too... damn thing weighs a tonne. Out of the gear I have, the best/comfiest is an old DPM chest rig, the most uncomfortable is this UCP TAP vest( the layout is fine but the drag handle digs into the back of my neck due to ALL the weight being at the front, the DPM one is a better design but not adaptable with molle. As above there are much better/tacticool chest rigs on the market, have you tried a belt kit/webbing? -

As Tackle says plate bags are a bit naff and the osprey being not just plate bags but also designed to carry soft armour panels as well makes it super naff. If you also have big boobs its just not gonna work well. I would recommend a split front chest rig like the TT MAV or Flektarns rip off https://www.flecktarn.co.uk/sdtmb2nx.html it can be worn as a chest rig or belt kit and being a split front super easy to don and doff with huge amounts of adjustment. Chuck some 7.62 pouches for your AK mags on and you should be good to go. Ref your AK, does it have a solid stock? If it does its worth looking at adjustable stocks so you can fit the LOP (length of pull) better to you. Another option if not a die hard AK head the MP5 is a favourite of my tiny 13 year old niece when combined with a good sling will run around happily all day with it. -

Bought new and had the gun S.Hopped and Gate Titan fitted by Local shop as I didn’t think the built in Mosfet was any good. Good accuracy and range and holds its own on Skirmish Site and Indoor. I use 0.32 Bbs. Bit of an impulse buy played a couple of mornings if that, Original Box and Mag, plus 2 Midcaps and 1 Highcap as new Single Point Sling, Speed loader and a Flash hider. The thread is a bit dodgy so be careful. Also have a Scorpian Carry bag that I cut the foam. Gun and mags etc all fit in. I used it as back up if needed. But didn’t. Extra cost of £25. Shipping £12.00£260

That is a real shame to hear. Once I got my driving license (hopefully soon(ish)), I was planning on heading out there for a few game days, but now it seems like I won't get the chance as I don't think I'll pass my test by July (because tests are so hard to book anyway...) Sites in the south east are dropping like flies and it sucks
