Got the TM EBB AKS back from the tech yesterday after I put a 11.1v battery in it by mistake and fried it. While he was in there he did a couple of other small jobs to tidy it up as it had been playing up intermittently. New motor connectors, a bit of soldering / insulation and a fresh hop rubber and she’s back to shooting like a dream. The charging handle doesn’t move when it cycles anymore as the hook that connects it to the blow back system has gone missing but that’s for another day. Also added a new pack to the load out as the new site I’ve been playing has a killer hill upto the safe zone and want to try and get everything up there in one go.

This is one I built back in March/April by adding the following to an unskirmished TM Hi-Capa 4.3 Dual Stainless: * Brand new AM Limcat slide. * Guarder steel outer barrel. * Guarder steel sights. * Guarder Hi-Capa hop unit. * Guarder re-enforced nozzle. * Flamingo 50 degree bucking. * AW flared magwell. This comes with a larger Hi-Capa 5.1 31 round magazine, which works perfectly with the aftermarket magwell. With the enhanced hop unit and bucking, it easily lifts 0.28g's. I would guess it could manage heavier but I haven't tried as I don't think it's worth it. I will also include a Hi-Capa Hub ‘TORQ’ 140% Recoil Spring, which makes the gun a tad snappier but reduces the reliability of it locking back. Some minor marks from building it and light use. It stil looks great in very tastefully done matching dual tone parts, while retaining the famous TM reliability. Stated price includes PayPal fees and tracked postage. I love the CGS for being like, "oh it's an MWS system," but then they changed literally everything slightly so you can't use MWS parts and then just manufactured it really crappy

Not even worth getting the DE Stanags with the CGS, because the routers on CGS mags sit about 1.5mm taller, which means getting seal is near impossible - you can't install CGS routers on the DE mags either, as the CGS ones are fractionally larger footprint, so whilst you can install MWS routers in CGS mags, the other way doesn't work.

The the CGS guns are uh, boy they're rough. I dunno if it's worth sinking much more time or money into tbh. Step one, bin/sell the mags. Consider either the Double Eagle Stanags (not the PMAGs those are ass) or the TM Stanags. They should be compatible and are just better made all round. If it were me though, I'd just get an MWS instead tbh. The CGS isn't much cheaper but misses a lot of the internal parts that make the MWS good. You're not really at the bottom of a curve sadly, the CGS is just ass.

Haven't really had much chance to use my Cyma emg dd Mk18 due to, in part not played much, but mainly it was a sack of shit. The couple of times that I did use it it was either too hot, even though I'd adjusted the npas all the way down or the mags venting after a few shots. So, inbetween other projects I have on at the mo, I've had it stripped on my bench. Dining table would be a better name but I'll go with bench. Ive stripped and oiled all the valves on the mags, presuming it was sticky valves. Didn't realise there are 2, well strictly speaking 3, valves in a mag. All taken out and oiled. I was thinking of doing a full seal replace but that can wait. Ive stripped the front end and cleaned everything and put a new 4uantum bucking and nub in. Problem now is that there isn't enough hop, even on the highest setting, so the BBs just roll out of the barrel! I'll take it apart again and check I've installed it right but am I missing anything? Apart from my marbles! Oh, also, I haven't tried it yet but after stripping every thing down I had a proper look at the npas valve. I had tightened the bomt until I could feel the resistance, only realising after ud seen it that it needs to tightened more sonit moves the bit valve against the bolt bit. A see I am at the bottom of a large learning curve.
