    I don’t think that the most ‘modern’ designs go for as much padding with some trends towards ‘jogger’ style, and in some cases they may be less likely to advertise features as ‘padding’ due to some of the more serious tournament rule wording on clothing, eg you can wear two layers of clothing which includes counting the bounce vest and/or slide shorts - if it’s a thick quilted materiel on the trousers then that’s just hard wearing materiel and not extra soft padding to promote bounce rather than bursting paintballs My ‘best’ ones don’t appear to be on the market anymore, and at the time a few years back were highly pricey at £200+ or even more- but I didn’t pay that - I won a pair in a raffle. I also would not have chosen the colour scheme which was (supposed to be) very white but for me was promptly stained by dirt & grass They were low slung in the crotch, combined with thick quilted material plus a extra front panel to clip across and another internal crotch panel of foam like materiel Thick all over for general padding, extra layers at the crotch, stretchy in areas and didn’t let in the wet when Knealt on wet astroturf or muddy puddles No endorsement on any of the following but a search of the Laysick name should show a few similar looking designs with extra crotch, Angel can cover some old school designs, Dye, Empire & exalt have some handy ones but beware of too lightweight and joggers Anthrax can be useful, and if you can handle Photoshop you can get fully / partial custom design prints (Ask for templates, do your own design and unless you use their consultancy design they don’t much different to just buying new off the shelf https://www.anthraxpaintball.com/custom-paintball-pants

    Thank you for all of the advice. Ultimately, I just want a secure place to put my sling so I can rest my arms a bit and have a bit more support if i need to lower my rifle to draw my sidearm in CQB. Since I put a M16-style stock on the back, which has removed the upper rear sling bracket (its on the bottom instead) I figured I would try the QD points built into the stock (these are the second area I tested on my video and they also pop out) I have found this one, which may work for now. I have a game on Sunday, so I need one quite quickly. Will this work? I definitely feel like I would prefer a keymod solid sling loop after almost dropping it before and I like the look of the one posted by Enid_Puceflange. How well that will work with the other sling point being under the stock I am unsure.

    I'm not sure how much stock I put in the idea of Airsoft getting banned or something. Maybe RIFs get more restricted and that would be shite, but he spray painted a two tone here. If you're worried about it though, sign up with UKAPU. Genuinely, if a new weapons law de facto band Airsoft, we are going to need something that lobbies on our behalf with some collective representation. It's how the NABV in the Netherlands got an exemption to firearms laws passed for Airsoft after it got banned for a few years. Not at all perfect, but we can at least learn from them.

    I agree completely. I don't just blame the kids, I blame the parents who show no common sense either. I was at an airsoft shop not so long ago where this lad, no more than 13 or 14 came in the shop open carrying some AR-15 based replica with his dad present. The staff gave them a minor bollocking and insisted they use a large plastic bag before leaving the store and rightly said an armed response unit could have been sent over. The shop was somewhat secluded in an industrial estate but the front door was directly opposite an active business. Some of the most shameless idiocy I'd seen was at Birmingham ComicCon where people were open-carrying RIFs in the lobby at the NEC. Considering the location being right by a major UK airport and train station, how did they not think there is going to be a constant police presence? The sooner we get rid of Just Cos or the sooner its terms invalidate the insurance if you open carry, the better.

    Chinese clone of Ashbury ASW338LM. Looks the business with carbon fiber effect forend, big, boxy mag and fully adjustable folding stock, so verifiable VCRA defense eg UKARA required. (Please send this upfront as I won't take the risk of selling without it). However the rails and forend are all ABS plastic, and it has problems - first it is slamfiring to the extent it fires before the bolt is even closed 9 times out of 10. Secondly even if you get past the slamfiring it misfeeds more often than not. Since I can't face undoing the 2 dozen odd screws and bolts to get into it to clear out broken bits of BB and change the Sear (VSR type IIRC), I am selling it on as a project for those who love sniper rifles as it is, ie Faulty. So. £58 including P&P sound reasonable? UK only and Paypal only.

    Hi guys Attempting to change barrel on my Apache tonight and have come across an issue no one else seems to have raised in the searching I've done. The original barrel has 2 locating notches but all replacement barrels I've seen including the raved about crazy jet are all single notch, so are people filling down the second notch for barrels to fit? Am I missing something glaringly obvious? Thanks Lewis

    I don't care what happens to muppets who fall foul of their stupid decisions. What concerns me are the repercussions on airsoft. As we all know the government is struggling with catastrophic policies and an increasingly volatile society so they'll jump on any chance to pretend they're cracking down on 'dangerous radical groups'. We could easily go the way of Australia...

    It's a dumb teenager who's probably spent too much time online to like, understand how that's perceived out in the real world. It's something I keep telling new Airsofters when they go home in full tactical clobber and guns barely concealed in bags, (sometimes not concealed at all). People will notice. It takes one concerned caller saying the magical word "I think it's a gun" anywhere near a major public place, and then every bobby available will be on hand to feed you the pavement.
