Saw a father and son using one of these a few weeks ago, don’t think they hit anyone but it looked like a right laugh, it cut through the (softer) weeds and bushes like the one on Predator!! For the second game they took a 3000 round pot of BB’s with them and left it at the spawn point so they could keep it going. Glad they were on my/our team! Have fun!

Turns out one of the contacts were bent. I bent them back into shape and it fixed it. 😁

This. I would've thought if any gas gun is too hot then the first port of call would be to try a lower power gas
-
They are literally £700 new and i can only find one shop in the UK that's got them in stock. I am not saying they are going to get that but you always price higher than what you actually want for the gun.

Agreed, even importing it direct from Proact is only going to cost around £500 new after taxes.
-
£600 is an awful asking price.
-
Maybe buyers remorse but they are right about the price. £600 is not a bad asking price. You know no matter what price you ask you will get low balled.

It'd be a shame if someone signed that e mail address on to some dodgy mailing lists

Bloody hell that's even worse than the Iranian pictures of the F35 and B2 they claimed to have shot down. I think it's this guy https://airsoft-forums.uk/profile/48029-nolan/ Joined less than 24 hours ago and the profile details look a bit iffy

Joys of gas sniper rifles is a super smooth and light bolt. My M40/m700 is so so so smooth, but too pretty and finicky for me to use on game days. But I personally would say its a BASR + can be upper joule limits.

Can't even read his scrawl, is it NOLAN ?, or NOLAM ?, or something else ?

I believe we're talking about the Ares DSR-1, which is a bolt-and-gas gun. That's a peculiar one, it'd be very much down to individual sites how they'd class that, whether it's bolt (as it has one) or DMR (because the bolt pull will be super-light - I've seen gas "bolt" guns where the bolt pull is a one-finger operation). Either way, I'd be thinking in Joules, not (0.2g) FPS, given that I have no idea how much a long barrelled gas gun would Joule creep when running heavier BBs. What gas are you running it with? Have you tried lower pressure gas?
-
It's the Ares gas sniper right? No adjustable valve or the like to control the power output?
