Cheers for the advice mate, will order a warfet and try throw that in, the x-asr has motor + and - as well as a blue wire from the trigger contact, all housed in the buffer tube. In theory I can just cut off the x-asr and put the warfet in its place no? Wiring seems to be the same?

How freely a motor spins is directly related to the strength of the magnets used to make it. If it spins freely then the magnets are weak and the motor will be shit. Ergo the Solink feeling clunky as it turns is, in fact, a sign of a better motor. Having changed the motors in a couple of Specna guns I can attest that they are, in fact, weak as shit. Also, the X-ASR MOSFET is rubbish. I also very much doubt the X-ASR can deal with a brushless motor. Fuck it off and put a decent unit in instead.

Hey dude from your prospective I can fully understand why you do what you do. No point making yourself ill. Well done on playing and doing what you do. So for you it's definitely not a cringe moment. Agree with the players who ridicule new or returning players because they haven't paid 1000s on guns and equipment. We all have our budgets and not everyone can buy expensive stuff. People forget some of these might be on an average wage and don't have the disposable income that others do, your life and wellbeing away from Airsoft comes first so can make the difference if it means paying the rent/mortgage or buying a new RIF and modding it.

You're so cringe...... Actually, that sounds like a really hard way to live - well done for still attending even with the struggles you have.

Hey dude, this would be me but i have a medical condition so everyones lynx and deodorant and cig smoke etc hurts my head, causes head pressure, breathing difficulties/coughing, blurred/double vision makes me feel like i have motion sickness , i zone out constantly like focal seizures and also a chance i end up bedridden with joint and muscle pain (my body attacks itself) for 3-4 days. Everyones fragrance to me smells incredibly strong or if i breathe through my mouth it tastes like ive licked the can . I live in complete isolation outside of airsoft and can only meet family or friends outside which most wont do so i sometimes go months without seeing anyone.. and airsoft is one of the few things i get to do so yeah i have to have my face covered all game, in safe zone , also in the shops the bus the train etc i get less weird looks at airsoft wearing a respirator than on a train or bus though 🤣 (no i dont wear a mili one on transport, is a half face one) But before this when i used to play many years ago i would always interact and chat with others also at lunch and in safe zone, examining various guns and also subjecting people to my really bad jokes. I sure do miss those days.... now i always sit on my own at lunch in the car park What i find really cringe in airsoft is the elitists who spend thousands but then shittalk new players or people returning who have purchased some guns and gear and just getting into it again i guess not everyone has a hefty budget or rich outside of the game

Difficult to think of things that won't offend somebody🙃, but eg a player who turns up with new top of the line shiney speedsofter at a normal woodland skirmish. Guys who bring their lady friends with them but forget to tell them not to wear skintight tops and trousers. Player with lots of expensive kit who barely if ever gets out of the safe zone (thats me btw 😄)

I find people who criticize others for blanking their faces in pictures cringe. Having spent a long time in in house recruitment for some pretty massive and well known companies, you'd be amazed at the things I've seen used for not hiring someone, so a picture of them holding a "gun" isn't something id want to be tracked back to me. I like the pics etc, I just don't want them tracking back to me. Likewise sometimes it's a great picture and I'm just pulling a derp face that ruins it. I mean, how ridiculous would it be to have my career derailed and earnings reduced just so that my face can be in pictures from when I'm playing toy soldiers. Also, people who are so "not competitive" that they actively do things to be not competitive, like bright gun/gear or talking down people who do put effort in, especially when they aren't effective players themselves. I'm there to have fun and my version of fun isn't being a moving target,

Never had a line catch tbh and run 2 MTW's also so it just made sense to go this way. Just takes careful planning and routing of the line on your kit. Mine comes from a sack on the rear of my plate carrier, over the shoulder (all through Molly tabs) and down the front. This leaves a loop tucked close in to the body and works well, even in a prone position. I did add 0ne more line support clip to the third internal rail support screw to the set up but no other changes. Next issue is how to fix my bullet belt over the box mag feed and mic springs 😀 I was going to add a microswitch to the trigger but the mic works perfectly for now routed in the spring, as I suspect the metal amplifies the sound. I meant to add originally that the slightly bunched area as line enters the Maxwell is actually just the heatshrink over some stainless metal braid protecting the line. I Ali blacked the line hole in the mag well which now looks like it was factory and the original mag fits perfectly and operates fine so all removable.

Ha, magnificent. As an aside, that was a great site. I did the original Town Assault there about 20 odd years ago.

Here's my M4 (Specna Edge), my brother's M16 (Specna Core I think) and my XM177 (E&C). The M4 has a Perun hybrid, 14:1 gears, solid bushings and compression set from Mr Ak2m4, motor is a bit of a mutt I built by putting the armature from a high torque motor into the case of a high torque, high speed one from AliExpress. Barrel is the original brass Specna 6.03 and uses a Macaron 60 hop rubber, omega nub. It shoots like a laser (in Airsoft terms) and has decent range. ROF is about 23rps on 2s I think? The M16 is bone stock and this also shoots fantastically, with decent range too- my brother is going to leave that as is. He has great fun blasting people with the 203 too, usually accompanied by giggling... The XM is my favourite to look at, the trades are fantastic and I love the old school integrated carry handle over the M4's detachable one. It has an upgraded compression set and nozzle, again from ak2m4, and a 6.02 stainless barrel. Hop is the same as the M4. It's running 16:1 gears and I have a Perun hybrid on the way for it. The problem I have with the XM is that it does not shoot as accurately as the M4, I get the odd curler which goes off to the side now and then. I may remove the barrel and try to polish it a bit to see if that helps at all...

Geardos and those trying to take it too seriously. The funniest thing I have ever seen at Airsoft (pull up a sandbag) was at the old Urban Assault site a few years back. There was this team of geardos who spent their lunch break running through CQB drills, stacking up, clearing corners etc. Fine, but they were doing it wrong and the Chief Geardo was getting more and more irate. It was fucking hilarious. Anyway, post lunch my mate and I were in an end room of a building (Urban Assault was an old RAF base) when said bunch of geardos burst in and clear the room even though we were in the same team and had been sat in the enemy less room for around 10 minutes. Utter bunch of knobs.

It's a nearly 3 year old appraisal thread, not a sales thread, no mention of prices, but you'll take it apparently 😏

I like to keep things flexible so I've put this together as a base kit that I can add to depending on what I'm using or where I'm playing. 4 mag pouches are mounted two sideways under my arm and two more on the belt for easy access while keeping the front of the PC clear to make it easier to go prone. If the need arises I can swap the front panel for a triple flap pouch and carry up to 10 total. Or if I'm running an smg I can put the panel with 4 smg mags on the front. I have two large general purpose pouches for carrying tools, speed loaders and gas and some extra pouches on my back for things that I don't need mid game. Pistol and one spare mag as that's the most I've ever needed.
