  2. UPL has molybdenum disulfide in it which is worse for rubber than silicone oil.
  3. Loving my TM MP5 SD6 but thought I needed to just add a bit of furniture to tart it up so purchased a ASG Airsoft MP-5 G3 Series High Scope Mount in Black, in the hope it locks on securely. Arrived quickly, fitted easily and attached my also recently purchased Vector Optics ‘Frenzy’ red dot. Looks ok me thinks…

This was one of my personal projects that was cast aside, it's working well and shoots about 260fps on a 0.3g BB. It has a few external scratches and one of the stock arms is superglued in, i can provide pictures of this on request. The gun comes as pictured with all attachments both the flashlight and reddot are functional and have batteries. The sector gear and piston are short stroked 3 teeth, even without precocking the trigger response is near instant on a 7.4 lipo. However this gun is capable of handling an 11.1v lipo and that is what I used to run on it. The range is phenomenal and each shot is very consistent thanks to the air seal provided by the parts I've put in it. If you don't like the bronze red dot mount I can provide the original black one. I can provide videos of it shooting on request, if you have any questions or want to see anymore pictures please send me a message on 07365798474. Below is the total price i paid for the gun and all parts/attachments on it. 5. While ownership of an IF for a minor may be legal as a gift from a parent to their kids for example, the implication is that it would be used in the presence of a responsible adult. As implied, it only takes one moment of fooling about to escalate very quickly to a life-changing injury or worse. Even on private land, you can be held liable for any injuries that happen and I don't imagine you or the land owner have a liability insurance policy protecting you. I don't want to rain on your parade as I am glad to see future generations of airsofters join the sport. I just think you're better off playing at an insured skirmish site or a shooting range for the point of safety, even if there's a cost to it.

  8. Re the AK, Yeah, It's a fixed 100 style. I've been looking for one of those stock adapters, Since unscrewing the whole rear end of the rifle's getting a liiiittle tiring at the start and end of each day :^) Been eyeing a Galaxy MP5K, Since I heard they can reach like 310 fps? (for 50ish quid too!!) Would it work for mid-long range outdoor fields though? There is something incredibly fun and appealing about throwing myself around in unreasonably heavy gear. +intimidation if you wear big steel-capped boots in CQB rings! They may be able to hear me stomping towards 'em from 3 rooms away, But at least I wont stub my toes. The 20+ degrees over here as of recent has made me reconsider. Just a bit.
  9. Control of safety is the main issue I’d recommend against it Next depends on how private your private land is Keep your distance from boundaries etc, and ensure you are not overlooked Ensure your ‘private’ land is not business related - often farmers children want to play on their ‘private’ land, but then it turns out to be publicly accessed land for the business of farming, such as milk lorry drivers You can legally own a 2 tone IF (unless you are much younger than 18) You (and your friends) must be responsible with that IF

Decluttering as not played with either in close to a year. M4 CQBR £250 The good: snappy, semi locked with binary in auto, 5 mags (2x CO2), npas mod, winter spring (summer spring included), repro acog 3x, guiselle charging handle (original included). The bad: mags need maintenance (I just haven't gotten around to it), handguard is very cheap and doesn't fit well, selector is stiff. XM177 £350 The good: npas, not locked. Clone correct full length 14.5 barrel with custom over barrel suppressor, 5 shorty mags The bad: think the sear might be going on it Extra bolt carrier group

  12. This is a shame, it's one that's been on my bucket list for a while, gonna have to try to get a day (or half ?) in before they go. Anyone feel like pushing me around ?
  13. I only went to Invicta once, several years ago; it wasn't a great day, but it looks like the site has developed a lot since then. Yalding would be much more accessible, so I will be visiting when it opens.
  14. Tell me about it, I've got a fair pair on me 😉 Or maybe a nice bulle mle, I think there's a jolly nice chap selling a couple in the classifieds ATM 😉 https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/64168-bulle-rigs-od/ Helikon TMR would definitely fit the bill👍
  15. No, I will REFUSE to see the light, and I WILL wear twice my weight in armour. Nyeh. It makes me feel... sexy. (Here is an interesting article (A) from West Point about the weight a modern infantryman should or should not be expected to carry).
  16. The issue isn't you, the Osprey is just wank, literally nothing you can do to the vest, your gun or your stance to change that. I've probably fired a good few hundred rounds while wearing the Mk4 and it was always a contortion act of combative awkwardness. When it's stuffed with real armour it'll cover you well against artillery shrapnel and IED frag, which you care about in the relevant circumstances, problem is of course they aren't airsoft, and there's a reason cool SF blokes who jump out of helos in to room-clearing combat where every bit of speed and mobility count all wear American/American-influenced trimmed down plate carriers vs bulky mass issued armour. My guess with the grey pad is that it's only intended to work in the prone, not sure why exactly, presumably just the result of troop trials, but it's simply far higher than you'd ever want to place the butt of your rifle when in any other shooting position. There's a million and 1 different options for rigs, if we were all truly honest we'd say the most efficient of which is just a hi-cap in a pocket, but then all men would lose our form of fashion shopping and dressing up as a hobby. End of the day, if you're a small person, micro chest rigs and small belts are the best thing to go for; there are some specifically smaller plate carriers but they're not as common out in the market.
  17. Welcome 🤚 Presuming you are in the UK Your parents will not be able to buy a non two tone (RiF) unless they have UKARA registration so the only option at the moment is two-tone. It may be disappointing but its easier to show they are toys if someone sees you playing in the field. You have to make sure BBs do not leave the area of the field and you must stop play if someone is nearby who can get hit with a BB. Oh, and make sure you and friends have good eye protection. That can get serious real quick.
  18. i am under 18 and i would like a airsoft gun for private use on a large private field that i own just to play with my mates, ive looked into some laws and they are very vague should i get my parent to buy a two tone gun or should i get a non two tone gun and what are the consequences if i do??
  19. Just gonna steal one of Negative Airsoft's posts: But no, that's the pure facetious answer. I think GBBRs have had a such a huge spike in popularity the past few years because (especially with MWS) they reached a point where they're reliable and effective enough for regular use, certainly if you have regular access to your collection and time/money/energy to do that bit more maint than an AEG. It's not a ton of maint (unless you get unlucky) but the fact is it is just more than an AEG overall. You can still get unlucky with an AEG, but it's slim odds with a good one realistically. Personally I only have access to my own RIFs about 10% of the time, so all the mags for my few gas guns are stored with maintenance gas and often sealed in bags. Occasionally use the pistols but don't touch the rifles frankly; plink toys at this point given the logistical issues I have and the rarity of getting to games. AEGs just work for me given the limitations I have to contend with and I think they make more sense for people who want to play but only just about have the time and money to do that part, not to milsim being an armourer as well as a special army soldier (again, sarcasm, relax gassy people). I think the easiest overall solution is get something like the TM G36C+ or SG553+ and just never worry about it. Plenty of other options of course and those examples are a smidge behind the curve in power, but for myself I'd take that in exchange for the high probability of just being able to use them, chuck them back in storage and never think about them until they're back in my hands again on the field.
  20. Abbey Ultra, it has upl suspended in its mixture, great on the guns seals and doesn’t gum up like silicon oil.
