CYMA platinum issue? Battery turns off if not used for a while, works fine if it is replugged

I recently purchased the EMG x Daniel Defense DDMK18 AEG, and I’m unsure if this is a defect or simply a feature of an older model.

The issue is this: if I don’t fire or pull the trigger for around 15 to 30 minutes, it seems as though the battery disconnects or powers down on its own - it becomes unresponsive. However, if I unplug and then reconnect the battery, it starts working again without any issues.

There are no other problems with the performance. It shoots and functions flawlessly otherwise. It’s just a bit annoying to have to open the stock and replug the battery every time I leave it idle, even while in the safe zone. I’ve tried pressing the trigger occasionally to keep it active, but that’s not ideal or practical in some settings as people in the safe zone wont like that you pulling the trigger just to keep it active.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Cyma Platinum series or this specific model? Could it be a built-in auto shutoff feature, a battery protection mechanism, or possibly a defective mosfet or wiring issue?

Or is my RIF simply faulty?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know which mosfet is in it? Some have cyma oem ones and some have eshooter in it.

A friend of mine has the same problem with a Well Pro replica, perhaps is the same mosfet?

I really have no idea. I bought this brand new, and Dave Customs said it’s a newer model - but looking at the box, it seems like it was already used before and quite old. It’s missing the usual out-of-the-box items like BBs, etc. I’ll take a look later to see if I can find the model number in the box and check what MOSFET it has, if any.

How long have you had it? If it's new and has done this since day 1 return it for a refund and buy from someone who doesn't rip people off

Pretty sure this is a thing with the standard CYMA 'zeus' mosfet they use - it's a battery protection feature to stop people leaving their batteries plugged in in storage or whatever swelling and claiming LiPo batteries/causing risks of the battery exploding - it's unfortunately just a caveat with the mosfet system and there's no way around it rather than keeping the gun active by occassionally firing or having the buttpad/battery connection exposed to disconnect and reconnect the battery when it does go dead

If the Platinum is a eshooter it'll be a basic version where you also can't turn off the protection so you're kinda shit out of luck - either install a Perun or just shoot more often unfortunately lol

I have an older Cyma MP5 platinum and it doesn't do this, happily carries on shooting after briefing / lunch with no need to mess with the battery.

Very strange - my CYMA platinum CAR-15 did this in the past and so did my SR-25 and I'm more than sure I've seen people in milsim videos [yes, grain of salt ofc, airsoft youtube not exactly notorious for being the more intellectual side of the sport] have the exact same issue as described above - as they weren't firing very often for strings over 30 minutes hence the battery cutoff.

Could've been an update they did to the later zeus mosfets after too many people kept leaving their batteries inside and turning them into thermite charges?

finally was able to check and the item code is CM. 105DDS which i think it has electronic trigger with built in Mosfet. I dont know what mosfet still lol

i guess i just need to live with this. I just pull the trigger in safe zone and just tell people about it so that they will not say anyhing why im doing and keep pulling the trigger lol

unfortunately i have it for past 1 month already and just noticed it last Sunday when I finally bring it to play. I went to have it Chrono on site then i was shocked it didnt work. So I tried reconnecting the battery and it fix the issue. Then I came to realised right after while waiting to start and when I came to the field to test fire it didnt work again. lol
