Mik3F
It looks like my Specna Arms doesn't like some mags and will miss feed every dozen or so rounds Any one know what the quixk fix is? It does it on my EPM1 mag and a Krytek The Specan Arms and Hexmags all feed fine Is the velcro in the magwell and or tape on the magazine a decent fix? ButcherBill
Simple answer is used the mags that work, I've a couple of pews that are mag fussy but it's never been an issue. Rogerborg and Austeyr

The velcro on the magwell is a good fix, but can also cause complications. As Gavin said, best to use the mags that work to save fixing one mag and causing issues with the others. Mik3F
Guess I will do that then Got an Amarok on the way to try out and if that does the same, guess I will buy some Specna ones Edited May 12 by Mik3F
Supporters Rogerborg Posted May 12 Supporters Share Posted May 12 Yup, it's a common issue. Airsoft "STANAG" mags can have significant differences in dimensions, particularly the location of the feed. For example, one of my Specna mags vs the 'Nam style shortie mags that I use when I'm DMRing. Knowing this, I determined that I needed to add 1mm on the front of the shortie mag with tape/velcro, and as a consequence, shave 0.5mm off the back. Notice that the Specna also has a conical feed lip, while the shortie has a vertical one, so I also gave mine a slight bevel with a dremel. Observe, measure, and modify. Skara
Another cause is how high/low the magazine sits relative to the hop unit and it's a combination of lower receiver, magazine retention latch and hop unit itself. In fact good hop units have adjustable feed tubes to compensate for this. In any case EPM1 mags seem to give more issues than benefits Edited May 14 by Skara Rogerborg
Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted May 14 Supporters Share Posted May 14 Also ammo quality, good ammo will be smoother and not bind up as bad. Also generally the higher the capacity in a midcap the fussier it'll be with a long spring having been squeezed such a long distance.
Big Cheese Posted Wednesday at 08:55 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:55 Could check the air nozzle retracts fully in the hop . Probably just use specna only mags like mentioned. Plenty about to choose from.
