ruskitseller
Well Pro have made some great budget rifs recently - this looks interesting! I have owned them (and still own the PPK 20) and have been impressed by the build quality and stock internals. So maybe its possible to make it do 2 round? I think the real version is one of the first new rifles to not have been designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov so apparently that is one of the reasons things are reported to not be going so well with this model. They do look very cool though which as we all know is the most important thing for us airsofters haha. 🤣 What I can say (and I swear I do not work for Well Pro) is that I had one of their polymer AEG versions and it was fantastic for the price. I sold it to a chap on here, I wonder how it is going? 🤔 Edited December 5, 2024 by ruskitseller
GiantKiwi
So talking to asian market friends, whilst this is theoretically TM AKM system, it's only going to be partially compatible - so unless its really, really cheap, probably going to be a halo item. I think because it is early days, costs do tend to be higher so maybe it will go down eventually. I think they are a rebrand of just "Well"? What I do know though is that they have a Well Pro rep who is very accessible and approachable. He responds directly to messages and the group canvasses for ideas from its fans. It's the same company, they've just retooled from WE clones to TM clones. But at $500, you're well into just buy the TM territory. One has to question the production costs that went into this or do they know that despite the cost, people will buy it anyway...the thing is, Well Pro are well in the budget zone and will find it very hard to move above that. Though occurs TM guns are not expensive they just get jacked up because they are grey imports so are they saying these Chinese/Taiwanese guns cost way more to produce than TM or are they just ting the piss. i know which one my money is on. Their FB group and admin is very active and responds directly to messages. Cheers!

It's worth noting that he does sell these as part of his job, with anything of a 'first batch' nature the usual argument of 'he wouldn't sell it if it sucked' doesn't really hold up unfortunately, so perhaps a pinch of salt is advised. I'm still planning to get their PP19 when it comes out, but I haven't really seen enough yet to say enough about wellpro's capability aside from the teething issues that have been brought up like double feeding EvilMonkee

Yes of course mate, its his job and no different to any brand who pushes his wares really and aim to present a customer interactive service - but that pinch of salt applies to all in my book, but no harm in you reminding consumers of that as it is easily a thought we push to the back of our minds when we get 'brand fever'. Airsoft is mostly about the psycho-social model of conspicuous consumption. Maybe because its a new brand, the customer service is very accessible and maybe this will change if they get bigger of course. I haven't ventured into the gas realm full stop - too pricey for me. I am content with the AEG's (alas I have known TM's/GHK's etc. that have had double feeding issues...)and for the money, well pro are doing very well in that department in terms of being in the budget realm. I have just got back a PP19 AEG from a tech retailer...sadly it isn't working now, before the tech work it was great haha! Cheers.
