Supporters Matt! Posted September 28, 2008 Supporters Share Posted September 28, 2008 After going airsoft 4 times, it got me thinking. I feel like im carrying more than i need. and its really cluttered load out. I trying to revise my kit to make it more lighter and easier, maybe cheaper? I was thinking : Kahki Cap Glasses (either black or clear with contacts that im getting) Black tactical fleece Either a Tan chest rig / Tan Plate carrier system. A Tan duty belt with water pouch and a pouch for BB's. Tan / Tri desert thousers Or maybe DPM woodland. And something Long range but CQB. (M4 springs to mind! ) and i really enjoyed the 'sniping' route me and hazeldine took at urban but we did plenty of CQB aswell) Maybe a GBB pistol as they are F(&^*** sexy or a MP5K on a 1 point as i really loved that as well. (not both well ... maybe) that's it, simple and it looks cool (dunno whether you saw some guy at urban wearing near enough the same load out) Its all i need aswell which is nice, also im thinking of purchasing some midcaps. So, post you loadouts or whatever.
Supporters Nutster Posted September 29, 2008 Supporters Share Posted September 29, 2008 I would say that sounds ok but I thought you were going for a 'force recon' setup which tbh you have described perfectly apart from the bdu's which you could swap for a set of olive bdu's or an olive flight suit. Anyway my loadout at present: Woodland DPM's Black Chest Rig Black Hydration Pack Black Drop Leg Holster Black Hatch Knee Pads Black PASGT Helmet/DPM Boonie M14 Socom on a 2-point sling MP5k on a 1-point sling GBB M1911 OR DPM Ghillie L96 Ghillied Up MP5k on 1-point sling My next plan is to do a 'Delta Force look' from BlackHawk Down, so I will need: Tri-colour BDU's Pro-tec Helmet PT Bodyarmour Alice Webbing Blackhawk Chest Pouch .223 and something else I can't remember Nutster

jdavies221
BDU is Battle Dress Uniform, its not a set colour DPM is the pattern of BDU the British forces use, woodland or desert, hope that clears it up for you
Ex-STAB-Inf
At the moment: (not going for a look but if you had to describe it i look like a chechnyan fighter!) Standard Combat Assault boots OG Lightweights Flecktarn Jacket (courtesy of a drunk bundeswehr squaddie!) Balaclava rolled up into a cap Cheap Highlander Chest Rig '58 Pat Webbing belt with 58 holster (Soon to be made) Home made pistol mag pouch Issued NI Patrol Pack Weapons soon to be purchased: CA Sportline M15thingy + 2 Hicaps and 4 Midcaps Marui M1911 + 3 mags Cheap and functional Either a Tan chest rig / Tan Plate carrier system. Only a newguy to airsoft but here's my two pennies I would opt for the chest rig, it's cheaper and more practical. Plate carriers are heavy, cumbersome and dare I add....expensive however if it's the modularity you are after then there are some good MOLLE Assault vests out there that offer the modularity without the wait and expense. Besides, whatcha want a plate carrier for anyway?

Ex-STAB-Inf
I have to admit plate carriers as opposed to OPSREY and EBA do look more ally. But cant be dealing with the hassle not to mention the cost. As for socks a nice set of issue black socks are good all year round, I still use mine for hiking and especially now the snow has started.
