The problem is whilst you can "drop-in" a replacement gearbox, factors like nozzle length, hop chamber, outer barrel can all affect the alignment etc, thus affecting how it performs.  Out of all the Chinese brands E&C make a decent QD complete gearbox for around £60 plus another £15 to upgrade the gears but can be tricky to get hold of.

^summed up pretty well.

Plus there's more to a high end build than just the box.

Many might be tempted to consider a £150 Ultimate/Lonex/ASG gearbox (hmmm)

but tbh think send it to Luke/Negative Airsoft or Tactical Geordies

might be a wiser consideration as there may be other issues to resolve too

+1 for the E&C. I built a MK12 with one and it's laaaaaahvley!

I've also used a couple of E&C boxes in my L119 builds, very pleased with them. I have also used a Tomtac QD box in a 416 build and have to say that is also very good.
